I would not recommend eating at this establishment. The waitress got our order wrong, not once, but twice, bringing chicken tenders after we ordered a chicken fajita skillet, and corn tortillas after we specifically requested flour tortillas. I could have let this go, considering the fact that they were very busy. But when we went to pay, we were charged almost $22 over the prices that the menu had listed. The prices that the menu we were given added up to $27.39. we were charged $49 and some change. When we brought this to the attention of the waitress, we were met with snark. she claimed there was a "new menu" with different prices. Again, We tried to reason with the waitress, and what appeared to be her manager, but we were told, its not her problem, and we should have known. I'm confused as to how we would have. considering the fact that we weren't informed of this "new menu" before we ordered. Unless I am mistaken, this is false advertising. We were refunded 4 dollars and immediately dismissed. Overall, this is one of the worst experiences I've had at a restaurant to date. 2nd time eating here. 1st time the food was not good neither was service 2nd time the food was good and service was good but when checking out the lady rung me up wrong said my total was $65.xx for 12 $1.25 tacos and "street corn" said getting flour tortillas is extra and toppings extra but knew about the extra for toppings not extra for flour tortillas some had lettuce and cheese some had just cheese! But not almost $70 worth! She wrung it up over and the total was still wrong it then was $39.xx and I'm like wtf we got more tacos and toppings last time and got guacamole and queso and our total was no where near this! Then she took the reciept out my hand while I was looking over it cause she knew she f up and went to fix it and still messed up! I doubt I'll be back! I can make tacos and street corn the right way at home for less than that!!! All they put on the corn was mayo and cheese it look like and we had finish our tacos and was ready to go by the time the corn came out and it was not hot the cheese didn't even melt! If you're looking for a large, Mexican-American restaurant that is part of a chain with recipes tailored to the American palette, keep scrolling. But if you're ready for delicious authentic Mexican cuisine prepared and served by warm, friendly people, then welcome to Santana! A visit to Santana Fresh Mexican grill is much easier and far less expensive than airfare and passports. The friendly neighbors you will see among the clientele is largely from Mexico. Their menu has a good variety of options for food and drink. They also have a salsa bar so you can go with your favorites or sample something new. Alejandro (sp) and his wife own and operate their restaurant and one of their daughters is among the servers. In interest of full disclosure, I must say we've only had one negative experience and that was when a young teenage boy was cooking. He apparently was having a bad day and was the opposite of the friendly people here. Unfortunately, we had to leave when the kid served up a plate that wasn't what we ordered and looked like the food had been sitting on the grill for a while. Everyone has a bad day and since this was not the norm, we keep coming back. If we see him in the kitchen again, we may make other plans unless he has had a change of attitude. Please, please, please save a trip. In the past I have had the chicken burrito from this establishment and It was just OK. Today I ordered the chicken chimichanga. Whoa! The fried wrap contain a small quarter cup of chicken that may have been frozen chicken. It was swimming in an entire "wheel" of queso cheese and nothing else. I love cheese but this was wayyyy over the top. "Smothered " would be stating it lightly. The majority of the meal was ....well CHEESE! I can honestly say having eaten Mexican food from the east coast to California this chimichanga was like no other. I've never eaten anything like it. I will not be returning. Although the staff is friendly and clearly works very long hours, their food could use an "overhaul." Substituting cheese for substance is not good practice in my opinion. I'm sorta on the fence about this restaurant. Some good things and some not so good. First thing is a hand written drive through menu. First time I've seen that. Then a " B" rating for health inspection. So they are not able to fix whatever was wrong and bring it up to an "A" ? The dinning room was kinda hectic with 2 TVs and a juke box playing at the same time. There was only a couple people in the dinning room and it took a very long time to receive the food. However, it seems most restaurants are struggling with getting employees to work. Our fajitas was good but it was kinda bland and the bell peppers not cooked long enough. There was plenty of food for the price though. Once our food was brought to us the waitress never checked back to see if we needed anything else. Overall, an ok experience but there's much better restaurants in the area to choose from. read more

Excellent food and fair prices. Just did take out so I can't say much about the service or ambience.

The food was good and the inside was very nice. However, we ordered house tequila shots because obviously we didn't want to spend a lot on shots. We didn't think to ask the price because at any other restaurant we have been to, house shots don't exceed $5, that's why they are called "house shots". We then got a second and jokingly asked our waitress how much the shots were just to settle a bet between the two of us. Our waitress then said $10, $10 for one house shot of tequila. Our meal would have been 40 and some change but we spent 86 dollars, 40 of which was for shots that were way too overpriced. Food was great, but don't order liquor here just get a bottle from the liquor store and you'll get more use out of your money. read more

We decided to try, and the food was damn good. I ordered nachos and have never had grilled shrimp on nachos, slices of pork and beef, enough for two people. No problems with staff, just very home like and casual. The atmosphere of a California vib, only visiting Cali of course, but definitely different than the typical southern restaurant. read more
