Salmon and Shrimp Dinner
Ranyia T.

It's smaller than I expected and it was very busy and backed up. I felt bad for the hostess she was trying but they were short staffed. We had reservations at 5:30 and we were not seated until 6 and then we waited another hour and a half before the chef came to our table. It wasn't anything special or better than Benihana. The hibachi show was funny but you can tell the three chefs were overworked at least that day.

Drink for two! I loved the fire

Took my son here to celebrate his accomplishments and was not disappointed. It's very easy to make reservations online or over the phone. I ordered two sushi rolls, adult beverage as well as chicken, steak hibachi. I had so much food I took home plenty so I'd say portions are very generous! The cook was friendly and entertaining. Will definitely come back!

Side of chicken fried rice and lychee martini but

This has been my go to for chicken fried rice for years. I noticed last time I ordered that they gave me a container half the size of what I usually get but charged the same price so I opted to go inside this time and eat at bar. Talked to the bartender about it and his answer wasn't that satisfactory but whatever. The bar was soaking wet so I had to scoot over to where it wasn't. I got a side of chicken fried rice and a lychee martini. I wanted the white lotus martini but they were out of coconut milk. I remembered once I received it that I don't really care for their lychee martinis because they have a weird chemical taste like the lychee or juice is off. The price wasn't bad though at $10.

Dirty ass table

Don't come here unless you want your night ruined. We had a reservation for 7 and we're not actually sat until 7:40 and every time we'd ask about our table they kept saying they were just cleaning it. When we were FINALLY sat the table wasn't even clean and we didn't even see a server or chef until 8:10. I asked the manager if we'd get some kind of compensation for this ridiculousnous, he said MAYBE. Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. Then when we got the bill after chasing someone down to get it, it didn't even have the discount. And when I asked for it, it was only like 10%. Then when we got back home everyone instantly ran for the bathroom fighting for their lives from the food. I don't think my bathroom will recover. Night ruined. Worst restaurant, and never returning.

Oh no. Our experience was horrible. We started out with the pork gyoza, which were meh, and it got progressively worse Next was the volcano roll. They left out some of the rolls ingredients. Instead of tempura shrimp, Avocado, and spicy tuna, we got only tempura shrimp and spicy tuna. For the entre, I ordered seared ahi tuna. It was horrible. They threw a handful of sesame seads on top and drowned it in a cup of some awful teriyaki sauce. It was swimming in the sauce. I sent it back.

Our chef did amazing magic tricks. My kids love the soup & I love the salad!

Best hibachi in the area! Don't skip over this hidden gem. We go here for every birthday with our kids and we will continue to do so! The staff is incredibly sweet and accommodating and the food is DELICIOUS. The portions are huge. We always walk out with at least two full boxes of leftovers. Our chef was hilarious and kind. He did some magic tricks that blew my kids minds! We love coming here. We will be back in October for my son's birthday for sure!! Thanks for an amazing experience, Sapporo!!

So let's start off with the positive. Staff was friendly and the place was overall pretty clean. The chef was awesome at cooking and entertaining us. Very talented. Now let's get to why I was not really impressed with this place. Parking is BEHIND the restaurant in a dark lot full of train cargo. Was not comfortable with that at all. Looks suspect. Then after the great chef performance, I'm looking at my food and it looks delicious! I take my first couple spoonfuls and the flavor was not as impactful as I expected it to be. Idk if it wasn't enough seasoning or teriyaki sauce or what. I just know it looked better than what it tasted like. I've been to my fair share of hibachi grills and one of the most flavorful ones I've been to in the local area was benihanas in Dearborn. I've been a repeat customer of theirs for a few years. I think I'll stick to the place I know will meet my flavor palate.

Nabeyaki Udon Dinner
Eva O.

This was me and my husbands first time trying this place! The soup and salad you get with your entrees was VERY good! My husband ordered the XO steak, which was also very good. I ordered the udon, which honestly, wasn't the greatest. It wasn't awful by any means, just lack luster. The service was nice and prompt in the beginning but I think our waitress forgot about us towards the end, however it was a Saturday night and they were busy, so I totally understand. The ambiance was good.

My husband and I went out for our anniversary and thought this would be a nice steakhouse. We walked in feeling overdressed and had a table with a family including kids watching shows loudly on a phone right next to us. My biggest issue, though, was I ordered a mocktail (I forget the name, but it was an espresso martini made with non-alcoholic spirits) directly from the menu, exactly how it's listed in there, and was brought a regular espresso martini. I took one sip and could tell the difference. When I asked my server if it was in fact the one I ordered, she told me she rung in a regular one. I was 8 months pregnant at the time, so this was not great. While she was very apologetic and corrected the error, this was a big mishap.

We waited about 10 minutes without being greeted or seated, even though several servers noticed us. Eventually, someone seated us, but it was a disappointing first impression. We ordered the rosemary truffle fries, onion rings, and a wood-fired hand-tossed pizza, customized with our choice of toppings. They don't modify any of their alcoholic drinks to make virgin versions. The food took a while to arrive, but everything came out together. The onion rings were crispy and enjoyable, and the pizza was good. The rosemary truffle fries, however, were just okay and lacked the flavor we expected. As the evening went on, the restaurant slowly filled up, with the bar area becoming completely packed. Overall, it's a nice, cool spot with decent food, but the service could definitely use improvement. The experience was okay, but it left us wanting a bit more.

Fries were scratch made with a uniques shape that had visual grooves that I had not seen at any other restaurant. Aside from the unique shape they were nice and crispy and quite tasty in their own right. Cleary a superior burger and fries versus other restaurants that are in the area. Aside from the food I had their Old School Margarita and their Deadwood Old Fashioned. The Margarita was just OK in my opinion. Basis of the drink was 1800 tequila which I am not a fan of and Cointreau. Seemed to lack the Agave Forward notes I look for and lime component was not as bright as I like it either. However, the Deadwood Old Fashioned with the Woodford Reserve Bourbon was outstanding and definately one of the better made ones in the area. The restaurant itself has a nice ambiance about it with rustic western vibe which I really like. There is also a large outdoor dining area to take advantage of the nicer days which is something to consider if that is what you are looking for. Relative to staff, they are so friendly and outgoing with excellent follow up throughout the meal and clearly a strength of this business. Overall a great dining option in the Northville area and worth checking out if you are in the area.

With these memories in mind, and given that I was shopping in the area, I dropped in for dinner to experience the new restaurant. Early in the evening, the restaurant was filling up with regulars. Servers and guests greeted each other with affection and familiarity. I scanned the menu and noted a few items that I loved from the previous menu. Roast duck. Pork belly. Chef Milos' mushroom soup. However, they now serve a Sunday special, prime rib, a weakness of mine, so I went with that. There's something special about a roast on Sunday, which reminds me of my childhood. To start, I had Caesar salad and Ahi Tuna tartare, cubes of tuna atop a seaweed salad, and wonton crisps. Regrettably, I forgot to ask for anchovies on my salad. However, both were good. The prime rib was slightly over-seasoned and served with creamy mashed potatoes that's even better than mine (okay, Joel Robuchon's mashed potato recipe). The accompanying broccolini was fresh, crunchy, and well-prepared. Service was fine.

Was too many tables, slow kitchen, or what? It took a long time for rolls, drinks, food, refills, and bills. Floor manager didn't even check on us or any other server. Besides the scallops and salad, the rest of the food that was ordered was a little salty. The burgers were also dry with a hard bun. Even the calamari appetizer wasn't finished or fought over to take home which our group is famous for. I have always said in my reviews that when the adult drinks menu is longer than the food menu that isn't good. They had plenty of parking and a classy dinning room. I don't think I will be back or many of the group.

There was no question, I would see my friend. We had selected Chicane earlier, eager to try the new restaurant in a familiar setting, by the train tracks on Starkweather. This location was formerly Station 885, a restaurant my friend and I visited years earlier, when a toy train ran along tracks around the perimeter, delighting her young daughter. We arrived early, scoring a great table with a view of the large bar, lounge, and stage. The restaurant is glamorous, with gorgeous lighting and attractive furnishings. Musicians entertained the eager and appreciative audience. There are so few places that provide this level of entertainment and hospitality. I had already previewed the menu and was anticipating the meal ahead. The duck sounded amazing and is almost always my first choice. However, the short ribs were tempting, as were the scallops in a coconut curry broth. I went with my first instinct, the duck, paired with a French Onion soup. The medium-rare duck breast was perfectly prepared; I liked the sweet potato puree and slaw accompaniments. Incidentally, the portion was huge. My friend enjoyed her braised short rib, which was on the 2-course supper menu, available before 6pm. For dessert, I went with the chocolate cube. Unfortunately, I didn't even see the banana parfait, which was mentioned in several of the reviews here. Oh, well, I was content. The dessert had a bold, intense chocolate flavor, which paired well with the ice cream's more subtle flavors. I also appreciated the different textures on the plate. Service was fantastic: professional and helpful. Unfortunately, my car died during the cold, and TripleA was unable to help, given the number of people/vehicles in a similar situation. The restaurant staff went above and beyond to find someone (the Executive Chef, who was in the middle of service) to provide a jump; I am so grateful for the gracious hospitality.

We addressed the situation with host and she responded with "oh they will be quick i promise". I made him aware of the situation and he directed the host to seat us immediately.Upon being seated we received awesome service from both servicers right away. They told us that the manager would be out to speak with us shortly. When he did arrive I explained that we love Long Horn and we were expecting to be accommodated accordingly ( not for free but atleast accomadated) and assured me that we would be. Orders for all drinks, apps, and entrees were put in by 5:30pm and although the appetizers and drinks came out quickly we did not receive our dinner until around 8pm. We asked for updates and we're told the kitchen was backed up. When everyone finally started eating we noticed the food was cold, undercooked, over cooked. People were missing items etc it was just a big mess. So we asked for the manager again and made him aware of the cold food and he explained to me that it's too hard to assure hot food with a party size(15) this large. By this time we were very restless and just ready to go.Many people in our party sent their food back others just wanted a discount because they were still hungry. The servicers came over with all the bills and nothing was accomadated. We told her that this is unacceptable and that we are highly disappointed in our experience. We requested the manager again, but when she came back she told us that he was tied up with something else and could not come to us at that time. We were prepared to just pay the bill because we wanted to leave but then was told have a good night and the bill was taken care of. Shortly after half our party was gone the manager comes to the table and asked were did everyone go. We explained we waited and were told to have a good night. He then turns and yells/blames the servers for what happened. We all ended up leaving after that because we were so upset with our experience.
