    Homemade Bread Pudding

Seafood heaven!! I was not expecting to be so impressed, but here we are! My husband and I were craving seafood so we came here for dinner. We started with a bowl of clam chowder and it was clam-chowder-perfection! The consistency is not too thin but also not too thick, perfect for chowder! For my entree, I ordered the baked stuffed scallops and omg!! They are now my favorite scallops I've ever had. They had a special flavor that was very addicting and I couldn't stop eating them even after I was full. Even my sides - scalloped potatoes & brussel sprouts - were so good, I could have eaten them as a meal alone! For dessert, we shared the homemade bread pudding and I can't think of an accurate enough word to describe how delicious it was! I'm already looking forward to coming back here :)

Expensive for what you get. Service was marginal at best. Server had 5 tables and was overwhelmed. Trio was tasteless and steak was ordered well done. Came out medium. Very disappointing visit.

Hostess scowled at me when she saw my mother was in a wheelchair & told me to call her to have it stored elsewhere. Chowders were loaded with clams, but tepid. The potato in the chowders must have been microwaved, because they were like mashed potato dumplings. The onion rings & French fries were room temp. The broiled scrod & veggie casserole were tepid. So disappointing. The dining room is nice & clean. I won't be coming back. My mother's fried clams were warm, but rubbery & most of her plate was cold French fries.

This place is great. They sat people with the social distancing situation and they also swapped out items for a low carb option. Keno was still available to play and not sitting in the next booth to someone was great. No rush on our meals and accommodating our low carb lifestyle was not a problem for them. Kudos to Satuit Tavern!!

Whole fried clams were ordered, these were more like strips. Very disappointed!

Satuit Tavern is great. Fresh food and nice staff. Sometimes a wait but it's due to the popularity of the restaurant.

Love their pub style pizza! One of the best on the South Shore. Also has great clam chowder. Small bar, but good for a meal or takeout.

I wasn't starving so I ordered an app. I saw the a great looking plate on someone's table behind us and asked what they were eating.. they said the tuna tartar and that it was really delicious.. that's all I needed to hear. He ordered a cheeseburger and fries. The food came quickly. My tartar was crazy delish. I couldn't wait to write this review for them. His burger was very good. All in all we had a great time. I had chance to speak with one of the managers who had told me the restaurant has gone through many changes.. like a new head chef. Hats off to him and the restaurant in general!

We ended up here for both a happy hour and lunch, and the food, cocktails, and service exceeded my expectations. The fish and chips rivaled what I had while visiting Seattle. The fish was perfectly cooked with a light, crispy batter that wasn't greasy at all. During our happy hour, I indulged in the fried oysters, and they were cooked to perfection. You could tell they were fresh and expertly prepared. If you're looking for a great happy hour, lunch, brunch, or dinner, Oysterman is a great choice! They do get busy, and if you are arriving with a large party, plan on reservations. They do have a separate bar area and a patio.

True to their name, they offer fresh local oysters, as well as littleneck clams, shrimp, and of course, locally caught fish. On our first HH visit, I ordered the Duxbury-sourced oysters. They were sweet as sugar and a tad briny, Perfecto. Plus one ordered fried oysters, and they were fried perfectly. Since our golf match was rained out, we stopped by for lunch. My fish tacos were on point. The cod was so tender, and the cole slaw was a perfect accompaniment. Plus one ordered fish and chips, and according to live feedback, they were as good as the ones she had in Seattle. Lightly breaded tender haddock equals 5-stars! She judges all fish and chips by the one she experienced in Seattle! Service is on point, and we rarely, if ever had to flag down our bartenders for refills. They do have a full bar and an interesting (in a good way) wine list. The main bar area does get busy, but there is a satellite bar area and a patio. Sports are king here, and they have multiple TVs, so it's easy to catch a game or catch up on the sports news of the day. ,

Let's start with the oysters, at $24 for half a dozen the actual oyster size was the size of a quarter (at best) very disappointing. I asked our waitress where the oyster came from and she said Duxbury and I asked what farm and she didn't know. You would think management would educate their wait staff. The fried calamari would get a C+, (best part of meal), my wife and I each got the Fish N Chips... batter came out dark brown, it looks like they haven't changed their oil in the fry-o-later for a long time, which ruined the experience, the fish was just ok once you found it. My daughters $42 steak was ordered medium rare and came out medium well, it was sent back and when the replacement dish came out the remaining 5 of us were finishing our dinners and get this, the steak was still over cooked so they took it off our bill. My sons pappardelle and short rib was so so, and his girlfriends salmon was "just ok" With a $593 bill this was a very poor dining experience. This will be our last visit to Oro you may want to consider same. In hind sight we should have cooked at home and would have saved a lot of money!!!
