I picked up 2 pizzas for takeout here on their pi day special on an already busy night. Staff were friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, pizzas were a bit burnt on the bottom and had pieces of another pizza stuck on, but I'm guessing this is related to a ver busy night (and good deal!) and end of the night. Still worth the deal, and have tried many delicious meals here!

Well we already know that the food is fabulous, especially the Lasagna, yum. We've been customers for years but this is our first time at this location. Very friendly staff especially that Declan was very helpful. We will definitely stop again when we're in the area.

Pizza is taaaaasty! My favorite is the chicken sausage and hatch green chili pizza. Had a good heat and packed full of flavor

This place is solid for a "fast food" type pizza and garlic knots! When in Tucson, do what the locals do and come in for some crazy good local pizza!

Pizza, salad, wine, meatballs. But the only thing I come for is the lasagna pie pizza. It is absolutely the best thing on the menu in my opinion. I've had the macaroni and cheese and I was not a fan. The meatballs are not bad. You can dine in, or do to go. Sometimes they will have pizza and salad specials. Download the app and you can place your order for pick up or delivery and get reward points

So good! It's a quiet place, walk up to order and they bring it out to you. Decently priced too. We thought the garlic bread and the pizza was really good! It was the perfect portion for two people. For dessert, we got the pizza cookie. So yummy! Definitely will come back to try the pasta as well.

We ordered a chicken Caesar salad to go and we get home and the salad doesn't have any chicken in it . They only threw lettuce and cheese in there. We called back and were given the round about. Terrible

I've come to Sauce a few time and I usually have only come for the Broccoli and chicken pasta. Employees are attentive and kind. They have good promotions and a good point system. I would recommend this dish for picky eaters as well!

Salad series! I've been told by a few to try the beet salad and I'm so glad I did! It was a perfect balance of grains, greens and my protein of choice warm salmon, the dressing pulled everything together and the toppings created a sweet and crunchy surprise element to it! Highly recommend this salad! Get the quinoa arugula and beet salad and thank me later!

Pizza was completely burnt. Not just crust but basil on top too. As much as this cost to add extra items, this should have never been delivered.

For a casual, Italian food chain, this is as good as it gets. You order at the counter and the staff has always been kind and open to suggesting pastas or pizzas based on how you're feeling because they have a lot of options. Although the restaurant is modern and clean and the people who work there are great, the food has always been the highlight. It is a little bit more expensive than could be expected, but the quantity is pretty solid. The mac and cheese and other pastas are always cooked perfectly and mixed with beautiful sauces. The pizzas are uniquely fresh as well. They are always receptive to substitutions and accommodations with both the pizzas and pastas and they offer options that are gluten free and vegan so everyone can enjoy!

Extremely busy location. They do need to rethink their online ordering as it gets busy and it's confusing and chaotic. You can't go wrong with the pizza and Mac and cheese although this time the Mac and cheese was super dry. The prosciutto and fig pizza is amazing, great size to share or have left overs.

A very bad day for a very good menu. Dough raw, solid, cool.
    Nellie S.

Maybe a very off day? my order was largely inedible. Mediterranean Calzone: Dough raw, under-proofed. Not even cooked to golden. Wet innards, gloppy cool spinach and mushrooms, watery feta. Dipping sauce, I don't know. Uninspired, sad. Pizza: cheese and caramelized onions. Errrrr, caramelized onion puree might better describe it. As you can see, it looks like tomorrow's pizza today. Not a thing to redeem it. The dough was again under-proofed, solid- no air puffs and holes. Dull and stale. Look, we all have off days, but two fails? I'll try this place again and update, but all signs point to "back to the drawing board ".

My first impression is the outdoor-friendly design, with a bar that is half al fresco and the other half inside. Shutters can close the al fresco section out during inclement weather. It was a quiet evening, with a few diehard clients at the bar. I walked in, studied the rotating menu, and settled for the one wheat beer on the list: #18 Enegren Schoener Tag Hefeweizen (5%ABV) from Moorpark, CA. It was quite flavorful with good mouth feel. I sat al fresco at the bar looking in. I enjoyed the ambiance. The inside is designed for groups to sit together and talk while sampling beer or wine. Four TVs were on the wall as an afterthought. The beertender was busy cleaning equipment before closing, but he explained to me that while the beer list rotates, the first five are staples, dominated by sours and IPAs although several lagers are also available. There is plenty of parking in the rear although I noticed that lighting is only toward the strip mall. The rear spaces are dark. I asked about dogs. Only service dogs are allowed.

I'm just not a fan of 99 % of nonalcoholic beers, there is something off with the taste and I just don't like them. The ambience is good it's a good place to hang with the outside patio and the inside is a decent size. I'll definitely go back.

I had my blood orange wheat and he had a milk stout. We sat on a comfy couch next to a large Bouganvilla shrub with nesting birds. Those birds kept buzzing over us. I enjoyed watching them. The inside is nicely decorated with solid wood tables and an extensive whiskey bar. The beer and wine list is also impressive. Service and ambiance were both very good, but the only thing I wish the place offered were misters for outside seating. We were the only ones outside and we are an older couple, so it wasn't economical to have any misters running.

That whole St. Philip's area always has a great energy, and UPH is a big part of that. There's usually a crowd, live music or sports on, and it feels like one of those places where you can bring friends from out of town and know it'll be a fun time. Food is consistently solid. The grilled chicken sandwich is my go-to and it's good every time. We both usually get one, and a lot of the time we'll add buffalo wings, which are some of our favorites in Tucson. Good flavor, good texture, and always reliable. If anything, the wings could always use a little more sauce, but they're still one of the better orders on the menu. The only real issue, and it happens pretty often, is the service speed. Everyone there is friendly, but the place always feels understaffed, especially when it's busy. We've had multiple times sitting outside in the Arizona heat where it takes 15-20 minutes just to get water to the table, and you start wondering if you should go up to the bar yourself to get things moving. Once service gets going everything is fine, but getting that first round of attention can take longer than it should for how often this place fills up. Even with that, we keep coming back. The food is consistent, the atmosphere is great, and the plaza has a real sense of community that makes it easy to hang out there for a while. It's one of our go-to spots in Tucson, and it's still somewhere we bring friends when they're visiting. It feels like you're tucked away in an intimate little wine cellar, which makes the whole experience feel special. It can get a little tight in the seating area when it's busy, but honestly, I think it's worth it. The wine glasses are clean (which should be a given, but sadly isn't always!), and the wine is delicious. They also have an entire bowl of pickles that you can order, and as a pickle lover, I was very happy about this. The bread and butter is simple, but sometimes simple is exactly what you want with a glass of wine. But the star of the show for me was the pinto hummus. I know hummus is made from beans, but it somehow never occurred to me to make it with the humble pinto bean. Whoever came up with that deserves a round of applause. Chef's kiss. So freaking good. My concern is with the food--none of the dishes we ordered tasted good, and the price was high for the portions we received. The ceasar salad, for example, was bland, and the dressing was salty and bitter. When compared to the salad at a restaurant just down to road, I found this one inedible. I rarely write reviews and I don't do this in a mean-spirited way--I would love to see a local restaurant and bar succeed.
