Clara was awesome and extremely attentive, which was why I kept coming back last week during our convention and bringing larger parties. She remembered my drink of Diet Pepsi and immediately recognized me with a welcoming greeting. She is the main reason we kept coming back! Food otherwise was good, as was the seating. Great little spot with many seating styles from tables for four, couches and family style tables. We started with the calamari which was very flavorful and fresh. Cocktails were spot on delicious. Ordered room service after a long day and was pleasantly surprised by the good food! I ordered a flatbread with steak, blue cheese, figs, etc. and my boyfriend ordered the burger. Both of us loved our food - but it was nothing crazy spectacular. Biggest downside was an $8 delivery fee to being up to the room that wasn't clear until right before hanging up the phone. POOR KITCHEN STAFF Sauciety is an on-site breakfast and lunch eatery at the Westin Boston Seaport District Hotel. Primarily a place for an expensive breakfast buffet ($32 per person), we should have gone elsewhere when we saw only two occupied tables when we came for a light lunch. We ordered two bowls of clam chowder (around $10) that were okay. Then we wanted to share a dessert. We ordered the crème brulee only to have the server return from the kitchen to tell us there was no crème brulee. We then ordered the chocolate mousse on her recommendation only to have her again return from the kitchen to tell us there was no mousse. The only dessert available was the cheese cake. We should have taken that as a sign as the cheesecake was too tart and borderline sour. Our sympathy to the friendly server who clearly did not have the support of the kitchen. read more

Stayed here for a few days. The restaurant is very nice! We had Kenny, as our server. From the time we sat down till the end of the meal he was so attentive sweet and kind. I would highly recommend asking for Kenny he's the best! The Buffet was delicious everything was perfect they had beautiful selections from sausage, bacon, omelettes to order as well as nova (salmon) I'm not really a breakfast person and I loved the breakfast. It was around $28 per person but they give you a coupon from the hotel when you stay there so it's like you buy one and get one, so it's not so expensive and well worth it! read more

Having stayed at the Westin Seaport many times, I had dined at Sauceity several times but only for lunch and dinner. This time around, I had the opportunity to have their weekend breakfast on both Saturday and Sunday. At first it looked way too busy, but when I approached the hostess stand, she was so kind and brought me, my son, and sister to a table right away. You can order off their breakfast menu, but it's kind of fun to just do their breakfast buffet as they have a lot of options. It's not the most amazing food in the world, but it definitely has a variety. You can order an omelette from your table as part of the breakfast buffet. They don't actually tell you that, but it is an option. There is smoked salmon, bagels, eggs, breakfast meat, smoothies, yogurt parfaits, danishes, cereal with milk, avocado toast, and much more to choose from. I really loved the service. They were so kind to keep bringing over warm milk for my son,. They were so busy, but they still had time to chat with us. The prices are higher considering it is a hotel, and breakfast buffet will be the highest cost on the menu, but it does include your coffee and juice, and the service is excellent-well worth it. As for my lunch and dinner experiences, I thought the food was OK, but again the service was amazing. I've always had different people waiting on us, and they've all been so lovely. Also, the hostess is so kind, always. Their elevator was broken and I couldn't get my stroller down the escalator and the hostess offered to help me. How kind! Overall, this is a great hotel restaurant and I will continue to dine there. I believe that breakfast is my favorite meal there. read more

After reading reviews, I didn't really want to eat here, but I'm glad we did. The atmosphere is very relaxed and had simple decor. We went for breakfast and had already decided against the buffet because of the high cost. We both ordered the "Eggs your Way" for $17...it came with eggs, breakfast potatoes, choice of meat, choice of bread, and a tomato that was cold, but looked like it had been roasted. Food was very flavorful and portions were large. Didn't catch the name of our waiter, but he was very attentive without being intrusive. He was friendly and made great suggestions, and was always there to refill drinks before we even noticed they were empty. read more

Located in the Westin Hotel is society I have eaten here about five times and the food is been pretty consistent. The service here is very good and any server that I've had has been very attentive. Because this place is located in the west and the prices are little bit expensive. The one morning there was three of us we had tea coffee orange juice one breakfast buffet and 2 Eggs Your Way and the bill came over $70 I thought that was a bit expensive for breakfast. The menu is not all that big. For $23 you can get the breakfast buffet which basically incorporates everything that they have on the menu. For $14 you can get the eggs your way which is any style egg bacon sausage or ham with home fries for $14. In my opinion you're paying less for the exact same thing that you would pay $23 for at the buffet. You end up getting more for your money with a $14 eggs your way deal. Overall it's a good breakfast spot if you're staying at the Westin it's a little bit pricey so just keep that in mind. I will be back here next time I'm in town. read more

Service is not great but not terrible. I sat a the bar so cannot speak for the other waitstaff. Ordered a bowl of clam chowder and a lobster roll. You only have a choice of a bowl, but don't fret, it's the size of a cup. Bowl price stays though. The lobster roll was meh, the lobster tasted a little bitter, not sweet, and certainly not succulent. My experience was skewed by the fact that the breakfast/brunch was included in the hotel package deal. If it weren't for that fact, the prices wouldn't sit too well with me (e.g., $5 for a bagel with cream cheese is ridiculous) but it's a hotel restaurant, so you expect it to be pricey. If you do get a brunch voucher, you're in for a treat. The buffet spread isn't huge but it looks carefully selected, elegantly presented, and high in quality. There's a made to order omelette bar, bagels and toast (and a toaster) with assorted spreads, warm steel-cut oatmeal, plump sausages (not the cheap kind), Applewood smoked bacon, scrambled eggs, fancy looking granola, fresh juices, fresh fruit, yogurt parfaits, and very cute (and tasty) mini croissants, muffins and Danish. Help yourself to seconds or thirds. What a nice way to start the morning, munching on mini croissants and sinking your teeth into plump sausages. They use too much beige in the dining area, but I do like the dark wood and contemporary look. read more

We ate breakfast here twice b/c it was convenient. Both times we ordered off the menu and didn't do the buffet, but if you have kids under 5 (especially if you have more than one kid) the buffet is free for them and seems like a steal! Both times I ordered the same thing: 2 poached eggs, dry wheat toast, potatoes, and side of tomatoes. Now they do put olive oil on the tomatoes which they don't necessarily tell you, nor did I necessarily want that, so be forewarned. Meal was $14, which isn't cheap, but was very tasty. I was at the Westin Waterfront for a conference and my organization hosted a reception at Sauciety. I CANNOT imagine a bigger failure. The reception was from 7-9pm and they let in a flood of people at 7pm with no ID check. They put everyone else in line, allowing the line to get longer and longer until the reception ended. They did nothing to ensure a flow of people in and out. No preference shown to people who were with the host organization. I watched as several security staff displayed surprising rudeness to conference attendees who asked about the situation. I checked on the line after 30 minutes and saw to my horror that it hadn't moved, but was told by colleagues that the situation inside was awful. Appetizers didn't circulate properly and the bar was poorly managed. This hotel often hosts conferences and the restaurant should have been able to handle the event; clearly they couldn't. I returned 15 minutes before the event ended so I could say hello and pay respects to various people in my field. The following exchange occurred: Security: The bar is done. No going in. Me: Yes, I understand that, sir. I'm not here for drinks though, I'd just like to speak to those people (points to people within sight). S (roughly) : No I'm not letting you in. There's nothing to drink. It's over. Me (very politely): The event doesn't actually end for another 15 minutes and there's no one left in this line and I'm only here to speak to those people for a moment. May I come in? S: NOPE. I was shocked at the brusque treatment so I just thanked him and walked away quickly. Ugh. read more

On a rainy Sunday afternoon there were almost no other lunch options in the area, so instead of paying $5 for a protein bar at the gift shop (btw, who's buying gifts at these places anyway??) I submitted to eating lunch here. The menu was uninspiringly narrow, and I settled on a $20 panini, which I had to return for a re-do because the chicken was ridiculously fatty (have you ever seen chicken thighs used on a sandwich before??). So I will give this place a 4 star, but some of the service was sketchy. I was just in Boston for a convention, and HAD TO GET AWAY from the show floor. Wandered over to the Westin with a few colleagues for a late lunch, and the place was packed! We heard the waitress say that the bar was open seating, so we jumped on the newly vacated bar stools before the guys in front of us could. Bartender brought the menu's, took our beverage orders, then promptly forgot about us for a while...a long while. Bartender snaps to, when we send a shout-out, and quickly takes our order and delivers our drinks. Kid you not, 7 mins later, with a sardine packed house, we have our food. I'm not a big lobster fan, but WOW, the lobster roll, with garlic fries! Rule of thumb...If it's connected to a convention center, expect it to be packed! read more
