Hi Everyone. If you're looking for delicious takeout food you have to stop in Sausalido Cafe. Tonight I went back to have the children tenders they were so delicious lightly breaded in the french fries were excellent nice and crispy not too salty . I've been coming to this Cafe for 2 years now and everything that I've order is fantastic.. don't take my word for it go and try it out you won't be disappointed and the prices are reasonable . My husband and I visited today and fell in love with this little cafe. The owners were very sweet and nice to talk to. The coffee is great (and good to know I can get stronger coffee here too). Here's another review that I am not enjoying writing but alas, this is a food app so I must. The place is run by a fine gentleman. He is very friendly and you just want him to succeed. But this is not a personality contest so the food has to shine. We tried the potato/meat empanadas and if there was any meat in it, it was the invisible kind, not the impossible kind. And it was just mildly flavored so nothing to be proud of. Then came the philly cheesesteak. This one was completely devoid of flavor. It had raw onions instead of grilled. The bell pepper seemed to be raw as well. And there appeared to be something that looked like mustard in it except it didn't taste like mustard. It actually tasted like, well nothing. And i don't remember any cheese in it. Perhaps it was a philly steak sandwich?? So another disappointment. And the fries were like fries, nothing special. So unless they drastically improve the flavor profile in the food, this place will not last long which is a shame for the owner. read more

It is a lovely mom-and-pop shop. When I visited the place, the owner was very accomodating and entertaining. The service was awesome. It's like home. The banging chicken I ordered was the bomb! They did not skimp on the meat and the dish was very savory. If you love the garlicky taste in your mouth, then this is for you. We went to the Sausalido Cafe this morning for brunch. Food was delicious, and the gentleman who owns the cafe is awesome! We are stoked to have an excellent little cafe walking distance from our home and plan to frequent this place often in the future. I highly recommend. I had the breakfast sandwich (vegetarian style) and a strawberry banana smoothie, and my husband had a bagel, the dragon noodles, and a hot chocolate (I know, I know). All were wonderful!! I went for the very first time a few weeks ago. I read the reviews and they were all positive. I was a little disappointed as the price I paid did not reflect the pictures and prices posted on their window outside. It shows only two sizes but, I was asked if I wanted a medium sized instead which was the same price as the large. It was very confusing. I got a honeydew milk tea and it was good but, not sure I will return. I really wanted to like this new place. They should probably just take the pricing off the window. I like that they had pictures outside to show what they have on their menu. read more

This place just opened and it's right around the corner from my house. My mom and I went and got the chicken strips and a turkey melt, as well as green milk tea with boba. I cannot stress enough how fresh everything tasted. The meat was high quality with no fatty parts, and the vegetables in the sandwich were crunchy and well refrigerated. The boba was perfectly sweet and not overly so. The owner was very kind and funny, and made us feel welcome. Highly recommend! Please support this small business :) read more

I love this little cafe. Their food is amazing and their customer service is even better. The Banging Beef is delicious and my go to item to order. If you like heat, ask for it to be made medium spicy. I love their iced coffees as they are a sweet treat on a hot day. Julius- or Uncle Julius as my son calls him, is wonderful and and the nicest restaurant owner we have come across. I live down the street and decided to walk down and check out this cafe after driving by multiple times. The food is amazing .... i was not expecting such delicious food from this little cafe. I dropped into this simple but great cafe. The owner (whose name I forgot to ask) is very friendly and welcoming. He showed a sincere interest in us. They serve all American dishes but also a number of International dishes such as the Malaysian Curry Puffs. Which were quite tasty! I ordered the Tuna Melt which was perfect and I took the remaining half home and was happy I did. It was delicious. We also had Thai tea and a yummy iced coffee that was specially made according to my strength preference. Light conversation a very nice owner and wonderful cook. They truly are interested in their guests. They have been in the restaurant industry for almost 20 years and starting anew in the South Bay from Ventura, California. I highly suggest you visit and support their new business. They still need to settle in and create an interior of a bit more organized setting. Yet that comes with the beginnings of any new business.
