They have a full kitchen menu so we tried out both of their Wagyu burgers. I liked my Wagyu smash burger a little more than the gourmet wagyu burger. They both came with veggies and were the same price so it's just a matter of preference on the style of burger patty. But both were cooked nicely and I liked the fresh veggies. They still have their signature pies and market side for all kinds of little goodies and market items to buy. I loved that they had so many milkshake options too, I wanted them all! I ended up going with the fresh peach one just because it was in season and it didn't disappoint. It was perfectly sweet and peachy but not in the artificial way. I just wish I had enough room to get the POG freeze, but next time! They have plenty of seating outside if you want to eat your meal and or dessert right away. I'll definitely keep this location in mind when we are in the area again.

Came in an hour before closing and the place is still buzzing with a ton of people either waiting…read morefor their food or going straight to the market for the pies. I was one of the pie people. Having had Ikeda's Marionberry Pie before, I knew the quality and expected such. The quality was there and I liked how the pies were readily available for you to grab and go. What made a terrible impression and made this visit one I wish I did not take, making me give 3 stars out of 5, was the young woman who checked me out. I ordered 4 pies and two were gifts so I asked for two extra bags. She answered in an annoyed way that they're $.25 each. No problem I said and paid for them. This extra one minute really seemed to have bothered her and it's terrible that she made me feel unvalued in such a short amount of time. She seemed to be eager to help the party behind me, which is great but she had no finesse in her customer service. I believe she could've made my experience completely different and still acknowledge the people after me. She made it seem as if I'm less important of a customer than they were. She also didn't bag my 4th pie which was awkward because she gave me the bags there. I'll be back but I won't be in a hurry like I was before. These small personal nuances are what makes small businesses great. When you're client facing it's so important to know this. It doesn't take much to be kind or provide great service.

Rarely am I here early in the morning, but if I…read moream, I am tempted to grab a coffee from the Starbucks conveniently located just inside the doors on the left side of the store. On my recent visit, I was inspired my a Yelp Elite Event at Belly Barbecue in Folsom. On a previous visit, I picked up some tri-tip... just an awesome tip *do not buy the untrimmed tri-tip. It may even be at a lower price, but there is honestly there is so much fat to take off of it, if you like to trim your meat, you will be disappointed with the end result. Just buy the trimmed meat. They're bigger, too! On this visit, I picked up pork spare ribs at the good price of $5 for every 2 pounds. The rack comes out to around $9-$13+. Some of them are frozen, but that's ok. So be sure to plan ahead when buying these. Next, I decided on what sides I wanted with this bbq tray I was inspired to make. I decided on the loose bulk green beans. I grabbed a red onion to add to them and I have the garlic at home. Who doesn't like tri-colored pasta?? Well shame on you if you don't!! While I'm the produce section, I grabbed cherry tomatoes. I usually stick with the Briella brand of tri-colored noodles. A Best Foods mayo that was on sale for $3.50 each (there was a limit of 2). I also got the black olives and artichoke hearts in the same aisle. Don't forget to pick up Wishbone's Italian dressing.. it just goes best with this pasta salad. Onto dairy!! I like to add pepper jack and medium cheddar cheeses.. cubed.. and finally, my secret ingredient... Mrs. Dash! Shhhhh! Since I cook and bake by taste, I couldn't give you any exact measurements, but trust the process and experiment and taste as you go... I was helped today by Terri. I have had quite a few amazing conversations with Terri, who also loves to cook. He is always smiling when I see him. He has picked things off the top shelf for me, walked out with me to load up my groceries.. a true honest hard worker here at Safeway. Be sure to tell him hello if you get a chance! He is always there buzzing around this beautiful clean store. My bbq tray turned out fan-fricken-tastic. All of my ingredients were from Safeway in my picture below. My bbq sauce was Kinders brand, their medium bbq flavor was the perfect finishing touch on these ribs!

The wife had me stop here on our way to friends' house in North Auburn on July 4th for a party. We didn't want to drag ice cream and cold fruits up from the valley and have everything melt and get warm so this was the perfect stop. This store looks pretty new. It's pretty much like all the other Safeway which is our main go to supermarket. We got the ice cream and cherries we were bringing to the potluck and then we were on our way. The parking lot is plenty big, shared with a Famous Footwear on one side and a Ross store on the other, so no problem finding spots. All in all, a well kept and spacious store with plenty of stock and fairly friendly staff. Probably a local favorite for stocking up in more hazardous weather condition seasons without having to go all the way down to Rocklin for Costco.

They have really good competitive prices on their produce (3 bunches of green onions or cilantro for $.99). The bulk items they sell come in handy for one of my jobs. Today, we stopped by to pick up some groceries for my sweet friend since she had surgery recently. She was craving chili cheese dogs. First, I got an onion. I went with red because I like that bite vs the white onion. After produce, I picked of some of the Smart & Final brand "First Street" medium shredded cheddar. Not too far away, the hotdogs. I'm not a Ballpark fan, I like to usually go with Nathan's, but today, we are trying a new brand, Hoffman's. These were pretty big. Last but not least, we got some buns. Again, we went with the store brand. The crossiants that come in boxes of 9 are only $6 and I think they are the best grocery store crossiants you can get anywhere. They make stunning sandwiches. I'm addicted to finding out what plants they'll have for sale next (right now, there are beautiful orchids). Last year, they had some of the biggest, prettiest monstera plants for only $40 (I have had mine for a year now). I always like to check out the meat department. They have good deals on chicken. My friends like to his steaks here. However... Today, I noticed how much blood from the meat packages was leaking onto the shelves and it was all over, along the entire shelf. There was so much on the shelves it was disturbing! Dry and wet in places. This is very unsanitary and can you imagine the cross-contamination happening here? People can get sick. Since there were not any employees around, I had to wait until I checked out to let the cashier know. She seemed to know that they were setting up to clean the shelves very soon, but I feel like it should never be like this. You can see from my previous reviews that I do enjoy coming here. Today, I just happen to notice the meat department needs to do some major cleanup. I'm not sure how long it has been like that, but I feel like I have never seen it this bad at any other grocery store. This review was posted to the wrong store 20 days ago.
