The waitress accidentally brought us cheese bread when we asked for mozzarella sticks, but it was a good mistake because we loved the cheese bread. This place is great! We were driving through Manitou Springs looking for somewhere to eat. Downtown Manitou Springs is very congested and the road is narrow. There was almost no street parking in the downtown core. Savelli's has its own parking lot so this was a huge plus. We ordered a half cheese/half pepperoni pizza. The waitress (Rachel, I think), was very friendly and accommodating. The pizza was delicious. I wasn't really hungry but ended up fighting with my son over the last piece. My wife was thinking there was a mistake when we paid for it since it was very inexpensive. Honestly, I was ready to settle for some unexceptional, overpriced food in Manitou Springs but we were pleasantly surprised. Super good pizza place that Yelp helped me discover when touring CO Springs with my family. My wife, father in law, and three young kids spent the morning at the Cave of the Winds. We needed a break and some food before going to the Cliff Dwellings. Yelp to the rescue! Savelli's really hit the spot. We had cheese bread to start and a large salad. Then we shared a pepperoni pizza. The salad was super fresh and really good with awesome shredded mozzarella and Italian dressing. The cheese bread and pizza were excellent as well. Pretty much New York style. Maybe slightly thicker dough. The service was super fast and friendly. The price is normal pizzeria prices. We could not have been happier with our choice. One of the best pizza joints I've visited, rivaling any pizza I had in Chicago or New York. Sage was an awesome waiter, made the dining experience enjoyable which is always a plus. The MEAL Cheesy bread - must try Calzone - Usually too bready but this was perfecto. Just enough bread and substance Pizza Pie - key to a pizza is cheese and dough with both on point. The locals we came down to spend the weekend suggested we get a sandwich at Savelli's. This place had a nice Italian diner type atmosphere. We ordered at the counter and a short wait later, we were handed a bag filled with sandwiches. I had a turkey and bacon sandwich and I ordered a hot Italian sub for my boyfriend. Both sandwiches were pretty darn good! There was so much bacon in my sandwich that it almost gave me a stomach ache.... *drool* BACON! The menu contained a variety of sandwiches, pizza and pasta. I came here for lunch with my boyfriend not really knowing what to expect (we had just chose this place out of random) and it was a great experience! I got a half order of their cheese shells with meat sauce and, trust me, it was worth the 20 minute wait for it to bake! It was very cheesy and very flavorful. I highly recommend using the breadsticks they give you with each entrée to sop up any tasty sauce on your plate. Our waiter was very nice and the service was good. Found this place on Yelp while on vacation. I have to say it didn't disappoint. We were there at lunch they had lunch specials in addition to the full menu. We had a party of 7 and were seated right away. The food was great we had pizza, calzone and stuffed shells. The half order of shells were plenty. The food took a little bit to get out but this was because they make it to order. The large pizzas easily feeds two. The hostess was very friendly and accommodating. Service overall was outstanding and friendly. Our waitress Nicole was great. Prices were very reasonable. I'm glad we found this place and will be coming back and recommending this place. That girl has tried everything plus every possible substitution of ingredients and has recommendations that will knock your socks off! Her knowledge of food (and beverages), if you allow, will enhance your dining experience and, like us, you will leave planning your next trip back.
