We went there yesterday, on they're unofficial first day of the season. Im so glad they were open!! Great staff!! Great tea!! Really good brisket! Really good fries!! Really good cornbread, almost cake-like, so moist and sweet! I had the Bronco sandwich. My husband had the brisket sandwich. It was all so good!!! We went to Casey's barbeque in Egg Harbor tge previous day. It was okay. If you want BBQ, you want Savor!! They have a side porch if you want to sit outside and enjoy a bit of the water view. Excellent BBQ Options. There is dedicated parking on the north side of the building. If you have been to Sister Bay that is a big plus. It is casual dining where you order at the counter and they bring you your table. The place was busy but we had our food in less than 5 minutes. There is a kids menu for 10 and under. Serving were a good size. We had the Cubano and The Maverick. Will definitely be back!! read more

I love the fact that there one more place to get BBQ in Door County. Savor is nice little place in Sister Bay that has some great BBQ. We stopped in for dinner and I ordered a 1/2 rack of ribs, Mexican corn casserole & potato salad. The ribs were seasoned and very tender. They are cooked Texas style without BBQ sauce but they have 2 varieties on the table, Carolina Mustard & and a tangy red sauce. The ribs had a decent amount of meat on the bones but also had a lot of cartilage. They have a pretty good variety of craft beers and I'd like to return and try some of the sandwiches they have, they seem interesting meat combination. One of the cutest part of the place is the little girl who helps her Mom and serves the food to the tables. She has a very mature personalty and is super helpful. read more

Stopped in for lunch and got the meat platter with brisket, Mac n cheese and one of their baked beans options. Service was fast and friendly! I'll be honest I wasn't expecting to like everything as much as I did. The brisket was tender and fall apart, the beans were super flavorful and the Mac n cheese was delicious! My only little knit pick would be to add pickles to the meat tray for building a sandwich and to complement the meats. Love Savor Bbq, and tried the new location; Savor Juicy Burgers this evening. Wonderful burgers, I ordered a Dragon Smash Burger for myself and a kids Smash burger for my 94 yr old mom (who is very picky). We both loved the burgers, and the fries were delish - crispy & flavorful. Def will be coming back again!! Great service, quick turnaround for my carry out order - highly recommend! read more

The brisket was decent but everything else was not good. It smelled so good going in but such a disappointment. Ribs were dry and overcooked. Some bites were like Jerry. The cornbread was the worst I have ever had so dry and crumbling. This place could be a goldmine with some improvements. This is by far the best old school BAR B Q around! Let's talk brisket: juicy - extremely well smoked and an unforgettable taste! We had the pulled pork as well and Wow, so good! Visited on a Thursday afternoon in December and ordered the Thursday smash burger special. The burger was great, the bun had a great texture with a slight toast / char. I would recommend stopping in if you find yourself in sister bay or the door county area. I hope to visit again and try some traditional smoked brisket or pulled pork. read more

Yikes. I actually felt bad for suggesting my friends and I try this place. I ordered 6 wings with a side of slaw and macaroni salad, a water, and a cider. The wings are the driest wings I've had in my life. Truly gross. I couldn't even eat them. The side sauces were unimpressive and the macaroni and cheese and macaroni salad were both bland. The slaw was the best thing I ate. What a waste of money. read more

We visited their food trucks before they had their sister bay location, and are so excited to have them in sister bay at their store front!! Amazing meats and sides! Highly recommend. I've eaten here with my kids maybe 6 times since it's opened. I'm not sure there are awful reviews. Maybe they've had bad days. We love their breakfast burritos, smash burgers, and brisket and pork sandwiches. The baked beans are excellent. They have creative sandwiches and nice owners. Prices are a bit high on their sides for what they are. Commercial rent and cost of meat is expensive in our current economy so they're just passing on that cost. read more

Having been to the BBQ brisket capital of the world, Austin Texas a number of times and perfecting my own BBQ brisket, I have to say Savor BBQ & Taphouse serves up The Best my wife and I have enjoyed. My wife and I split the three meat plate which did not disappoint. The brisket was so tender and moist, just the right amount of smoke. The ribs and sausage was delicious as well. We went with the owner's choice of sides, beans and creamy coleslaw. The beans were spot on, blending a little smoked meat and tender, sweet beans. Coleslaw was great. They include some slivered sweet onion, pickle slices and sliced jalapeno peppers. All this really balanced the richness of the savory meats. Their homemade BBQ sauces are a great compliment. Many of the restaurants on the peninsula include their sauces with some entrees. We'll be back for sure. read more

Everyone in my family found something they loved here. My daughter doesn't really like pork, but their burger was tight down her alley. Everyone loved the mac 'n cheese. Wow. Where do I begin? 64 dollars down the drain. My friends and I got a platter to share. When I tell you this was the driest meat I have ever tasted. I've had bad bbq before. But never have I had to chase each bite with water just to avoid choking. Brisket was fallic and rubbery. There was a pitiful attempt to cover up the pulled pork's inadequacy with sauce. It failed. The cornbread was clearly straight out the jiffy box. The ribs were practically a stunt prop. A half a rack had approximately 1 ounce of meat on it. Guess they want us to just suck on the bones. I regret to admit that the best part of my meal was the Mac and cheese, which unfortunately was surely velveeta boxed Mac. At least they know how to read directions off of a box. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Run for the hills. read more
