We came here for dinner during Memorial Day Weekend, around 8pm. Although we had a reservation, we did have to wait a bit to be seated, and the restaurant was pretty full (seemed very popular with the 60+ crowd). We ordered the shrimp scampi flatbread and the sweet potato dippers to start. The flatbread was good, although very simple, and I wish it were more flavorful. The sweet potato fries were hot and crunchy -- not a fan of the honey mustard sauce they were paired with though. Highlight was definitely the free bread, which was amazing! For my main, I got the potato crusted scrod, which was a white fish served in a rich corn and bacon chowder. This was really good - definitely exceeded my expectations. As a whole, the meal was satisfying, but nothing that's going to haunt your dreams. read more

The gazpacho was not our favorite. It was more like a tomato juice with chopped vegetables in it than a true gazpacho. The lobster florentine was good, but could have used a little more flavor. We especially enjoyed the grape nut custard for dessert. Our server was friendly and attentive. Overall, it's is a solid restaurant. read more

Five of us had a nice dinner here the other night. We were here the Thursday before Memorial Day and it was still pretty crowded. Inside it's pretty nice maybe a little dark. Crowd was maybe a bit on the older side but I'm not sure what it's like in July or August. A couple of the people in our group had been there before and knew exactly what they wanted (one wanted a steak and the other the swordfish). Others had the steak as well and I guess they were good as nothing was left on anyone's plate. I had the poke bowl and it was surprisingly good. The wine list was pretty impressive actually which was a nice surprise. For dessert I tried their special grape-nut custard thing and it was good and not too heavy. The service was efficient and helpful. Prices aren't cheap but not unreasonable for what it is. Overall I will go back when I get the chance. read more

My recent visit to a beloved Cape Cod restaurant left me thoroughly impressed. The food is consistently excellent, with fresh salads and a diverse drink selection. Personal favorites include the sweet potato deepers, arugula salad, and beet salad. They have a nice selection for vegans, vegetarians, and gluten-free diners, and you can always ask the chef to prepare something of the menu based on the ingredients of your choice. At least this is my experience. The atmosphere is welcoming and inviting. Highly recommended for exceptional food and hospitality on the Cape. read more

We popped in for lunch with a huge group. There were four of us in a bit of a rush and informed the waitress that we were looking for a quick turnaround. The crab cakes - SPEECHLESS. A must order. Our waitress provided the check asap without us asking. Would recommend Scargo to anyone. read more

It's not typical that I finish my plate, but I couldn't get enough at Scargo! The ginger shrimp salad (lettuce, mandarin oranges, candied almonds) was incredible. It had perfect ratios of everything. I'd order it again in a flash! My husband had the spicy chicken sandwich, which he said was good. The fries were great as well. Their White Negroni cocktail knocked me on my butt - but that's how you know it's good. I also ordered a coffee cocktail but I was feeling the effects of my first drink so it didn't get finished. read more

They make a great Bloody Mary. The Charcuterie Board was tasty. I was disappointed the waitress did not take the time to describe what was on the board. We didn't know what many of the meats or cheeses were. I will go back and have dinner, since it appears quite busy. It was a nice friendly atmosphere and the staff was attentive. read more

Wow. My last review was mediocre and as promised, we went back. Our family booked the plastic igloo for our anniversary and it was sooooo much fun. Bourbon sours toasted the beginning of a GREAT MEAL. Oysters Rockefeller were the bomb. Seafood chowder excellent. Special shrimp tacos absolutely the best.....they were able to keep the shrimp crisp. Great wine choices. Then desserts! Chocolate concoction superb although we really didn't know what it was but who cares.....it was chocolate. We couldn't figure out what the other one was but it disappointed. Our waiter David was so attentive and made it seem easy to work under cold and windy conditions. All in all we had a great time and I'm a fan again. read more

Had a lovely anniversary dinner here the Sunday of Labor Day Weekend. The wait was shorter than they estimated, but we ended up inside - we would have preferred outside. Enjoyed a good martini. Shared the calamari and the shrimp scampi flatbread as apps, both very well done. The lemon flounder and pistachio scrod were both good choices too. We asked if the farro item on the menus was a gluten free product. The waitress check with the kitchen and assured us it that it was gluten free. Stumbled upon this place based on reviews when the original seafood place we wanted to try. (Visiting off-season in late Oct not recommended lol) My husband our 15mth old and myself were obviously out of place in relation to the lunch crowd -mainly retirees. Nonetheless the server was pleasant and attentive. Everything we ordered was very good! Would recommend stopping in to dine! As an aside to the management, the handicap bathroom room in the womens is big enough to have a changing table in there. Please consider all of your guests! read more

The food and service were good. Very expensive for what you get but I suppose that is anywhere on the cape. My issue, my party was celebrating a birthday. I mentioned in the reservation, I mentioned to two hosts at check in, I mentioned to the waiter. We saw two other deserts with candles ( and a happy birthday song), so I was excited. They took my number and texted me in 30 mins later saying our table was ready! Longtime diners here. Live in town. Haven't been in over a year. As usual place was mobbed. Wait would have been an hour so we chose to order to go. Wait was only about 20 mins and the young hostess was very friendly and calm. But the food was awful. We got the lobster roll.. very average. The meat was all claw meat which was thin and rubbery. The fries were underdone, white and partially frozen. The Shanghai chicken was poor too. Small scoop of rice, chicken pieces were good but few, and smothered with a very sweet soupy sauce. It was all shredded cabbage too. Worst than what we'd get at the local takeout. For $65 we felt it was a real waste of money. Disappointing to say the least. Won't do that again.
