Food was alright the facilities were clean and the people were friendly and welcoming! The big complaint was the wait time was long and they forgot my kids food and it wasn't brought out until everyone was ready to leave because we were sitting so long. There are not many options for food in the area so this is a solid spot but be prepped to wait a bit. Also their dining hours seem a smidge confusing. You can still sit in the dining room to eat the pizza and apps menu (like we did, menu below) but they have a special diner menus that is only available for the hours posted. read more

Late lunch at 1:30, but the waitress was extremely helpful and didn't rush us at all. We split a sandwich and she even put them in two plates with extra sweet potato fries (sandwich and fries were excellent). We will definitely be back next time we're in the area. read more

Schag A Val sits on Route 40 just south of the Schaghticoke fairgrounds. It's open from early in the morning till the evening, so there's a good chance it'll be open if you're in the area There's plenty of parking, and the dining room--while small--is cozy enough. Service is good. Breakfast is the highlight here. It's nothing groundbreaking, but it's done right, and it hits the spot. Unfortunately, things go downhill after that. The pizza is below average, and the chicken wrap I had was underwhelming--small, mostly lettuce, with a bit of chicken and some honey mustard. Chicken wings are decent. While out for a ride with my close friend, we stopped at Schag A Val for lunch. This is a very quaint place, basically a diner serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had the Buffalo Chicken Wrap and fries. The wrap was very good, the venue is very clean and the service was excellent! We talked about returning someday to try their Pizza! read more

Passing through town and I was starving,It was either Stewarts or this place. Stewarts may have been better! I called in an order for chicken Alfredo and broccoli pasta which came with 2 fried non garlic knots and a very small salad. I walked in and used the bathroom first which smelled like cat piss! I got my food to go and when in my car opened the pasta....i dont think there could have been less flavor to the dish....absolutely no taste which is perplexing and super disappointing. Supposed garlic knots were fried and did not taste like garlic at all. Went home and dumped a jar of hunts alfredo sauce on it and it was then edible. Will def not be back! read more

My friends and I were on our way home and were hoping to find a diner, and were a little discouraged by this place's 2.5 star rating. Thank goodness we didn't listen because this place was AMAZING. Food was delicious, place was quaint and adorable, like a little country cabin inside. The waitress was super nice, and the food came out so quickly. We got breakfast, and everything came out exactly as ordered.. toast was cooked perfectly, same with the eggs and pancakes. I wish this place was in my hometown! We all ate our entire plates . This place doesn't even deserve one star. I called and ordered a supreme pizza tonight, said my order twice to the girl over the phone she read it back to me and everything. I get there my fiance goes in and comes out with a regular cheese pizza, got the order wrong so he went back in and they argued with him. Saying they have no idea what a supreme pizza is with the most snottiest attitude, and then goes well she said cheese even tho she contradicted herself saying supreme the first time. Oh and besides that the cheese pizza was missing cheese one three pieces and also had no sauce what so ever on it. So needless to say the food sucks and so do the little highschool waitresses. Great place for pizza. Very affordable as well. Two topping pizza for my wife and I with soda and water came to fifteen bucks with tax and tip. They had a high chair, which was wonderful. Place also has normal Italian / American food (including deli) and a takeout room. Pizza was great. They have a nice thick crust sicilian style pizza as an option. Good time, good food, good place to bring a young family for a pizza dinner. Only negative is that they didn't have a changing table in the bathrooms. read more

I mainly rate it this because I honestly don't know what to expect when I go there. One visit it's incredible the next it's horrible, when it's good it's great but when it's bad well... It's bad... If anything is give it a shot and hopefully you get lucky, I live nearby so I tend to go there quite a bit. Restruant choices are limited traveling along Rt 40 so we stopped in just after lunch hour on a Monday. It looks like they have a separate area for takeout, we dined in. Very clean open dining area. My wife and I both had mushroom burgers. (Fresh mushrooms) She had sweet potato fries, I had onion rings. Everything came as ordered, the onion rings were very good. I mention the onion rings because I have been to places that serve low quality, this was not the case. My wife said the sweet fries could have been better, but she ate them all. Kind of agree with John N. It's breakfast - in Schaghticoke. I live in Easton so it's convenient when I'm being lazy. The people that work there are cool. The food is nothing special. Usually end up here with 3 people or so, and usually 1 person really doesn't like at least 1 thing they got (e.g. if I remember correctly, the bacon sucks - thin/cheap). But I like it simply because it's there, and they serve breakfast pretty late (I think until like 2PM?), so once you work out the kinks of what not to order, it's A-OK in my book. read more

Very disappointed in tonight's service. Called ahead for a pickup order and was told it would be ready in 25 minutes. I arrived at the 25 minute mark and was told it would be another 10 minutes. It ended up being another 25 minutes. Two additional people came in after me and they had to wait as well. Obviously the young lady managing the phones and the pickups should have communicated with the cooking staff. She was also not the friendliest individual. The guys in the kitchen were working very hard. To make matters worse when I got home they had given me the wrong wings. The pizza was excellent. read more
