Such great sandwiches and calzones (which their version is like a folded sandwich on this amazing pita like bread. They also have flatbread that are like a pizza version. The ingredients are always great, the service even better! They have a large indoor eating space and it's great for large groups for a quick hearty meal: their menu also includes soups and salads. They offer Coke products and even a few different lemonades. I am so grateful they offer a gluten feee bun option, it's actually delicious! I'm from the Austin, TX area where Schlotzsky's is originally from and this location had the best sandwich I've ever had! The bread was baked to perfection and was freshly made. My kids shared a cheese pizza and without us asking, the servers brought 2 plates for them to share the pizza as well as water cups. I subtracted a star since all the tables were dirty but we wiped the crumbs off ours with a napkin and didn't have an issue. If we're ever in the area, we'll definitely visit again! read more

I used to be a big fan of Schlotzsky's, then we moved to an area that didn't have any. Was happy to see one near my work, and ran through the drive through. The food is just as good as usual, but the customer service, even by today's standards, was horrendous. The person taking orders just said "what?!?", after placing my order they said "window". Got to the window and was glared at. Lady was kind of aggressive taking my payment and shoving my order at me. I've never felt like I was inconveniencing someone as much as I did here. Schlotzsky's is one of those places I have fond memories of. Every now and again, when I was a kid, my parents would take me to a specific Schlotzsky's in North Carolina as a special treat. I always remember their "original" sandwich, a bag of chips and a big soda as being something I looked forward to. Oh, simple pleasures! Well, this Christmas, my mom came to visit in Arizona, and we spent a day driving around Scottsdale looking at areas where she might decide to relocate. As we were headed down the 101 in the morning, she saw the sign for Schlotzsky's, and as we were headed back up towards North Scottsdale again in the early afternoon, she requested that we stop in there for lunch, so I obliged. As we tried to remember the last time we'd had a Schlotzsky's sandwich, and it's been at least a decade, we commented to each other that it might be one of those things that would be disappointing to try again all these years later. And you know what? We both ordered the Original, bag of chips and a big soda, and we were both pleased. It was not a disappointment at all. The sandwiches were everything we remembered. Good flavor, good price, and the service was good as well. I'm happy that mom wanted to check out Schlotzsky's after all these years. It's not my style to rate a restaurant 1 star because of a single component (service, food quality, price, etc.) I feel it only fair to consider ALL aspects of an experience prior to jumping on Yelp. But what occurred last week in this location was extremely disappointing and frustrating... Being a Schlotzsky's Rewards member, I received an email AND notification on my phone that warned me "do not let your $7.00 discount in your rewards wallet expire." Always enjoying a great Schlotzsky's sandwich, I took this as an opportunity to stop by at lunchtime. I placed our order, drove to the window, and showed the email AND my iPhone app (that both said the same thing: "you have $7.00 in your wallet.") I was stunned when she said I didn't have a reward to use, and, that "the best she could do was a free bag of chips or a drink." See my photos if you haven't been there in a while; they have BBQ sliders, salads, flatbread, mac & cheese, and every Wednesday is "Buy 1 Pizza get the second one free." Yet, every time, I get the "Pick 2" for $9.49 and choose the bowl of Broccoli Cheese soup with 1/2 "Original" sandwich on Sourdough. BUT, (TIP) you can get the 1/2 DELUXE Original for the same price. I took a closeup of the Deluxe Original, so you can check out the double Genoa and Cotto salami and smoked ham. The only thing is that the description says that it has mozzarella & cheddar cheese, and I've never detected those. They keep the restaurant very clean (even the windowsills, which is always a tell tale sign for me), the kitchen is easy to see and looks clean, and they maintain an "A" health code rating. The reason why that I gave them 1 Star less, is just because the "restroom" door always feels like everyone had a Cinnabon and then played "Pat-a-cake" all over it. The big fail is the lunchmeat quality which was definitely what I would expect from a deli of any kind and tasted like cheap packaged lunchmeat. Wish I could leave 0 stars. The manager Angelica is combative and unwilling to listen to customers. We placed an order for lunch ($90!) at 9Am so they would have plenty of time to prepare. 15 minutes before our pick up time we got an email saying the order had been cancelled. Our card was charged and when we went to pick up, the manager sent us away with no food or apology. We called to inquire what went wrong and got no answers. Instead, Angelica became angry on the phone, talking over us and hung up on us multiple times. I would not recommend placing an order here as they will most likely cancel with no warning and there will assuredly be a communication issue if you deal with Angelica. read more

Then she was mad at me for ending her conversation with her coworkers to help me. I was the only customer in the place. Not exactly sure why I got attitude for wanting to order and spend my money with their business. This is actually the second time in the last month I had this happen to me here and that's why I'm writing the review...they already got a pass from me on this exact same thing.
