When my wife and I take a road trip, we always take an exit halfway to our destination and look for a local diner. Well, we chose wisely this time. Friendly, welcoming service, comfortable seating and atmosphere, plus really good food. We left the diner feeling great.

My family and I have been coming to Scotrun since the 90s. Obviously, they got something good going on here. The service is impeccable. We've been both for breakfast and lunch mostly breakfast and have tried a variety of menu items. The food is always delicious and tasty. I don't believe we have ever had any complaints. We will definitely keep returning to this establishment and I suggest you do too!

My girlfriend and I went here while on a weekend vacation at the poconos and was looking for a nice place to eat breakfast, and this diner was really good! The staff is very friendly & welcoming. The menu is smaller than the typical diner menu but their food is really good! Best corn beef hash I've ever had, and the pancakes were amazing also! My girlfriend has the French toast with scrambled eggs and she loved it! Only thing I didn't like was the sausage, it had a weird taste to it and I didn't like it, but other than that, this place is really good!

Not a big breakfast menu. It's very cramped. Kids don't get free refills and most kids down drinks so...food was "ok"

Did a midweek get away and found this place. Looked it up and there were pretty good reviews so we…read moredecided to try it. The staff was very nice and seated us promptly, we were sat at a table that was booth on one side and chair on the other but it was an extra tall bar stool type table. Soon as I sat down the sun was right in my eyes. Yes only a small nuisance till the bar tender shut a blind (because the bar folks were effected) but there were so many empty table. Why sit us at this table ? There were plenty of other tables that would not have had this issue. Not sure why the hostess would not know not to use this table for this time of day. Other then that the place was very clean and a normal pub type atmosphere. Nothing super special though. We started off with an appetizer called the "Texas Twinkie" - okay. I read "twinkie" and think some form of cake/bread with a filling. What we got was more of an egg roll. The outside was either a wonton type wrap or a tortilla then filled with brisket, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, jalapeño, and BBQ sauce. This was very delicious but definitely misleading in the name and the menu didnt really describe the item, it only give the name and listed the ingredients. I bring this up because we also ordered the traditional pizza.... what we got was more of a flatbread and pretty bland as well. Super basic bread with a lack of flavor marinara sauce and cheese. Also the sauce to cheese ratio was sad. You can tell this because all the cheese on the slice would come right off with 1 bite. We would not order this again based on the price and what was served. I also had the French onion soup. This was pretty well done. Not to salty, no crazy cheeses added. It was well balanced and was worth getting. My partners entree was the barley creek whiskey BBQ sauce on chicken tenders. These were just ok. The sauce seemed more tomatoe based then normal for a BBQ sauce and again just wasn't what one would expect from the name whiskey Bbq sauce. I am sure people do like this place but it wasn't very impressive to us. 3 out 5 stars is a fair rating as service was good for the most part, the place was clean with a decent amount of menu options, but the execution of the food lacked and the menu names are definitely misleading for the items we had ordered.

We ordered the popular Philly Cheesesteak Loaded Burger, Prime Rib cheesesteak & cheesecakes for dessert. The burger was top notch! Juicy, seasoned and full of flavor and to top it off with two slices of crispy bacon was heaven!! the prime rib, cheese, steak sandwiches received great reviews and feedback from my friends as well. Make sure to get extra of the donkey sauce on your sandwich sandwiches lol.... No joke, it is delicious and makes the sandwich even better in my opinion. In all, great menu and eats at this restaurant. I found the service to be fast --excellent, food delicious & pricing good. The drinks at the bar were creative and strong too. Definitely one of the best food options in this resort. Would highly recommend eating here.

The host kept noticing that we weren't being served .she came back and spoke to someone about five minutes later a waiter showed up informed us right away that it wasn't his section ,but he'll take us anyway, there were only three tables with customers us being being the fourth. He takes our order. We waited another 45 minutes. I asked him for a cup of ice waited another 15 minutes. The fish and chips were overcooked and dry burger was burned never came to the table to ask if everything was all right waited for the he never showed up all , He was behind the bar on his phone and talking to two other waitresses . I walk towards the bar and the two waitresses walked away , he looks at me and asked me if he can help me and how was the food ? I told him it wasn't acceptable and I would like my bill now , he gave it to me. I paid because the food come out and we did eat some of the fries. That was edible and they weren't even Hot nor crispy they were warm/ . I don't understand it. It's sad because we have been there before when we stay at Mount Airy that's where we eat and we've never had this experience before. We hope it will be much better next visit because we will give it another try.

We walked in and the hostess and host were goofing around, chit chatting about life. The female felt her story was more important than greeting us, the guy on the other hand grabbed menus and just walked away. So good on him, a lesson for her I guess. We then got sat down and our waitress very honest and sweet. I believe it was her third or fourth day. She grabbed our drinks and appetizers. Of course we ordered fried pickles. Let me just say I believe they were left over reheated. Soggy, and disgusting. Very salty and if there was other seasoning I could not taste it. I ordered the ribeye and shrimp. The waitress was on the order she called it perfect but the food was not satisfying. I had the house salad which was good and a lot. My ribeye and shrimp came out with mashed potatoes. Let me start with the potatoes that were not mashed. It may had looked mashed but had huge potato chunks the size of a potato. The steak cook to choice but seasoning was overbearing, so much fat, very chewy. I did not like it at all. The shrimp was good. Seasoned well and cooked. The atmosphere was decent. You could have conversations without issues. The waitress was good for being new. The manager came over and checked in. This made me laugh because it was a check in. Grabbed the ticket on the table introduced herself and asked if any issues but you could see she really did not care. She also waited for us to put our first bite in our mouths. It felt like she was on a triple shift and going through the motions. In my opinion maybe wait till we had some of our meal so I could tell you it was not good. Like I said it's a chain you get what you get. I do not suggest this one.
