We stopped in an hour before the place closed and they were fantastic, seated right away server came over quickly and good came out quick. Our orders were right and the food tasted great. My husband and I both got cheeseburgers and they were good, I did order it medium and it came out rare so that it the only thing I could say bad about the place. For our last day in Pennsylvania we decided to stop by the Scotrun Diner. Don't be deceived by the outdated,yet clean decor. The waitresses are nice and the owners were kind too. We ordered breakfast which came hot and plentiful. My older daughter ordered the corned beef hash platter, my lil one had sausages and pancakes, hubby ordered eggs over medium with potatoes, and I had a veggie omelet. Great home cooked food. My friends & I have visited the Poconos for a week for the last 3 yrs for conferences. We stumbled on this place in year 1 and have been back every year for breakfasts & dinners. The prices are low & the plates are full of good food. Good home cooked meals, not that fast food stuff that leaves you hungry one hour later. That type of food that your mother cooks, that sticks to your ribs! The staff is very friendly, talking with you as if everyone are long time friends, yet giving you plenty of personal time to enjoy your meal in peace. My friends and I enjoy eating here. read more

My girlfriend and I stopped here on our first night of a mini vacation in Scotrun Rv Resort and Campground. I'm not sure if it was because we were tired and hungry or because we were excited about being on vacation but this place blew us both away. The prices were actually less than I thought it would be for us both to have a meal and split dessert. The waitress (I believe her name was "Stacy") was so helpful and friendly and just genuinely nice, that if we weren't on a budget, she would have gotten an even bigger tip. Drinks were refilled without us even asking when another waitress noticed and a bus lady who spoke Spanish was diligently cleaning tables to be seated immediately after another party left. We noticed and tipped her as well. I expected "Diner Food" and got "Great Food" and service to match. Nothing about either meal or the service was off or left anything to be desired. I will absolutely go here again every chance I get. read more

Great little Diner near Great Wolf. We stopped here around noon on a Saturday before checking in @ Great Wolf. We were seated right away but by 12:30 the place was very busy. Typical diner menu, good service, prices seemed average. We didn't wait long for our food which was very good. This is a great place to grab breakfast. (Perhaps other meals, too, but we only came here for breakfast.). We've been staying at the Great Wolf Lodge and looking for an alternative to the outrageously priced breakfast buffet at the lodge. My kids don't eat much and my wife and I are trying to lose weight, so the buffet isn't for us. This place isn't the most modern looking of places, but you can get yourself a good breakfast for little money. They're very personable here. My wife and I stopped in today to have breakfast. We arrived around 11:45am. The place was not packed and we were seated immediately. The waitress was nice and professional. I ordered the pancakes, bacon, and eggs scrambled w/cheese. My wife had coffee and ordered the Belgium waffle, sausage links, and eggs scrambled w/cheese. My pancakes were warm (but you could tell they were made from pancake mix, not home made), the bacon was cold and tough to eat, and the eggs were scrambled, cold w/2 slices of cheese on top and not actually scrambled into the eggs. My wife's waffle was ok. Her sausage links were good and her eggs were the same as mine. Her coffee cup was kept full and she said it was ok. I had a Sprite (only 1 refill allowed, not unlimited). Overall, the food was mediocre. read more

i enjoy this local diner very much. never had a bad meal there and i think the Latina lady that clears the table is a real sweetheart. i wish they would join hungry we deliver as i'm getting to the point i can't go out very often. the owners get along well with the staff you can see it by their interaction. unlike the other local diner who thinks he is running a chain gang. my only negative would be the desserts. i miss all the various types of pies they used to serve. i remember years ago my grandfather would walk in the door and the first thing out of his mouth was "so kitty what are the pies today" it's nice to still have a place around that you went to as a child and still enjoy going there. congrats on their hard work. read more

The only problem I've ever had is when the waitress gave us scrapple instead of sausage. But that was fixed. If I had a choice of no stars I would have selected it. I called in a to go order for 1 open faced turkey sandwich. The waitress did not want to take the order so she passed me off twice till someone finally took it. She asked me how I wanted it vegetable, gravy etc and what kind of soup. I told her she said 10 minutes I could tell she could care less. I showed up picked it up tipped a couple bucks thinking that was why they didn't want to take a to go order-no tip. Walked out and realized there was no soup in the bag, went back in after huge confusion I got a cup of soup in a coffee cup. Got home no gravy, no veg and most importantly no TURKEY just dry fake mashed potatoes. I called and they told me they can't check everything! I've noticed in the past that nothing there is made from scratch it's all pre fab none of the cool old school diner items. Place is a joke. STEER CLEAR. read more
