I was originally referred to him for my work comp injury but his appts were booked too far in advance and I really needed to be seen. Son went to see the doctor but got a PA instead. Son was told that $20 office copay plus $35 should cover the visit and the knee brace. A month later, the bill came out and he owed the doctor another $60, because insurance would cover only half of the brace cost of $120! Son is making $10 an hour so he has to work a full day to pay for this knee brace that he never wore. I am pretty sure this was not the first time they did business with Blue Cross/Shield and they didn't know how much the insurance would pay for the knee brace?! The same knee brace costs $35 on Amazon...was told that once the brace is out of their office, there is no return. Let me know if anyone needs a brand new knee brace! read more

I got 2 busted knees, so this place seemed like the perfect place to go in my area. I called to make an appointment, and during the call I made sure to triple check that they would take my insurance. They said yes, so I booked their earliest appointment, which was 2 weeks away... 13 days later, they called me and told me they couldn't take my insurance and would have to charge me full uncovered price. I'm very unhappy with the this. They had me walking around like a cripple for 2 weeks for nothing, and now I have to find someone else and continue waiting in pain because of their negligence. read more

I made an appointment 3 weeks ago to see Dr. Goldman not the PA, that's how long it took to get the appointment. I have now been waiting for over an hour and a half in the waiting room. When I asked how much longer it would be I was told she didn't know but there was one other person ahead of us. She asked if I wanted to be switched to the PA's schedule. Um, no. Hands down the best Ortho in the IE. He is an expert in his field and always hires the nicest and best of staff. His PA's are always very knowledgable and professional. I also like how he has an in house MRI. His office is really busy but his experience is worth the wait. A couple of years ago I had a disability claim with his office and Gina, from his office, was always soooooo helpful with everything that I needed for the claim. I probably annoyed her so many times with questions about my claim, etc, but she was always so nice, patient, and funny. My husband now sees PA Franz for a work injury and he is always very pleased with his work and professionalism. This review is only for the office staff, not the doctor himself. My friend and I called the office to try to get an appointment for an ankle injury on a foot that has undergone surgery on multiple occasions. We called the office, and the person who answered the phone asked us if she has been to urgent care, which she has. They told her that it needed to be seen by a specialist. She seemed to have a snarky attitude, and told us that the next appointment was late next week. We asked if in the mean time, she could come in to get an orthopedic boot just so she could be able to walk and be in less pain until that appointment. Again, snarkily, she responded that "they don't just hand them out like that." We weren't asking for a handout, we needed to buy a boot. We are taking our business elsewhere. read more

According to my 78 year old mom, Dr. Goldman is very attentive and caring towards his patients. However, this review is based on the management of his front office. Upon entering the waiting room, it was evident that the Dr was running behind. 1 hour after our arrival, we're still waiting to be seen (I'm writing this as I continue to wait). Meanwhile, my mom's medication has worn off and the pain from her fractured ribs and bruised disc is quickly resuming. After inquiring about the wait time, the front office staff informs me that there are 3 patients ahead of her. ... sigh. After informing them of the growing severity of her pain, I ask them to administer pain medication. They tell me they can only administration a motrin-type injection. Had they read her medical record, they would have seen that her kidney condition does not allow for motrin. I asked for the same medication that was prescribed the last time she was seen, which lasted her 12 hours. Unfortunately, they could only give her half a dose of Norco, which is ineffective as she usually requires double the dose. It's now been 75 minutes since our arrival and still 2 patients ahead of us. Hoping the medication takes the edge off until we're seen. Until then, we continue to wait.... read more

I just had knee surgery last week with doctor Goldman and I feel amazing! He is the best, I was scared about the surgery but he made me feel comfortable about everything and I'm healing fast! The only bad thing I can say is bring a book or charge your phone, because he does have a long wait in his waiting room. From an hour to 2 hours sometimes and it's always crowded. I am just updating my review of Dr. Goldman and his office as it has been a year since my last review. I continue to see Dr. Goldman for my knee but in the meantime I have had several additional Orthopedic issues which have been handled by Dr. Goldman and Frantz Despas, PA due to my rare inherited genetic condition. I ended up breaking my thumbs in therapy (not the therapy office next to his office but a different one) and he had to treat bilateral broken thumbs. He also has treated me for dislocated ribs, SI joint and osteoporosis of my hip and spine. Then I ended up with a dislocated bone and torn cartilage in my wrist. Unfortunately, Dr. Goldman couldn't repair this as it was specialized but he ensured I got to the best wrist guy in the area. He takes time with all of his patients and makes you feel like you are the only patient he has to see that day. Of course, this does make his wait times longer than normal, but you can't beat the personal attention and care you get from Dr. Goldman, Frantz and everyone of the staff, especially Lyndsey and Gina for me. read more

Dr. Goldman has been treating me since 1999. He is by far the best doctor I have seen. He is an amazing surgeon and truly cares about you. I injured my shoulder at work and he treated me even when the adjustors would not approve the treatment he requested. I read some of the reviews and was disappointed that people were complaining about the wait time. I would rather wait an hour and be seen by an excellent doctor then get in and out with no answers and mediocre care. Dr. Goldman does not have an ego and he is very down to earth. I greatly appreciate is willingness to answer my questions and to always go over all the treatment options available. He is concerned about your overall health and not just the body part that is injured. When my husband was in the hospital this past Christmas due to a stroke, we could not get any help and we have an HMO that is not the best. On Christmas Dr. Goldman was on the phone with the ER making sure we were being taken care of. In addition, he called the hospital and requested all his test results and went over them with us so we would not have to wait due to the holiday. He goes above and beyond for his patients. In closing, I would have given him 100 stars if I could. My family compares all the other doctors we see to Dr. Goldman and unfortunately none of them come close. His office staff is amazing and very professional. Keep in my mind this is a very busy office, and yes sometimes they get behind. My husband was seen by this practice last year for a severely herniated disc. My husband was in chronic debilitating pain. The PA suggested pain management medication and referred occupational therapy. Also, Dr. Goldman never actually met with my husband, as his PA appears to handled most client interaction. This was devastating for us because my husbands quality of life would never be the same. We felt hopeless. I continued to look for doctors md seek out second opinion and thank God I did because we found a doctor that offer a glimpse of hope. This doctor is associated with Cedar-Sinai, his name is Dr. Neel Anand. He performed a small surgical procedure that took 1hr and my husband walked out of the office feeling almost 100% If you're in chronic spinal/back pain stay away from this office. Don't wast your time. I also should mention that the office staff is not the most welcoming, especially the individual named Patty who handles medical records. This individual specifically needs customer service retraining. I'm not one to write reviews; however, after my experience with her I was certain I needed to write this review in efforts to prevent others from wasting time and experiencing such awful treatment. Not happy with the service I received. Why would they deny me for the physical therapy and ask me to go back to the office after I have just gone to get X-Rays and MRI. My last visit was less than 2 months ago. The office should be helping me to get better vs wanting me to go back to the office for another co-pay visit.
