I have had two dealings with Scott's Coach Works, and both were what I would call five-star experiences. The first involves an unfortunate incident with a pillar in a parking garage last year. Scott's was recommended by two friends whose opinions I value, and it's not far from where I live, so I chose them sight unseen. I was not disappointed. To begin with, Scott's workmanship impeccable - you'd never know how badly the car was damaged. Moreover, Matt, the guy who was helping me out at Scott's, made dealing with my insurance company a breeze. When I called the insurance company, they tried to steer me to one of their "preferred" body shops. Matt made it clear to me that Arizona law does not allow the insurance company to mandate where I could have my vehicle repaired, and he handled communications with the insurance company after I had filed my claim. My experience from beginning to end was professional and pleasant. I had my second experience with Scott's last week. As I pulled into my parking garage at work, I rolled down my power window and then the window would not roll up. I was left with no choice but to carry my valuables up to my office, as I left my car with its window permanently rolled down. I got to my office and called four repair shops, including my dealer, to ascertain what it would cost to fix the window. They all identified the same problem and the quotes they gave me ranged from $500-$600. I decided to go with Scott's based on my first experience there. I again spoke with Matt, who told me to bring my car in the next morning. I did so, and not only did they have it fixed by 2:00 that afternoon, but the total cost was well below their initial quote. Scott's is where the car enthusiasts take their babies for body and paint work. Even some car dealers choose Scott's over their own body shops. The only other place in town they might consider is in Fountain Hills, but that's for another review, and anyway Scott's is more central. I've taken my special cars to Scott's and when they're done I never can tell where the damage was in the first place. I swear they can match any paint. The best part about Scott's is that they do such a great job of working with the auto insurance companies, so not only does it not cost any more than any other body shop, but they're good at making sure you get approved for all work that's needed. This is by and far the best place for body work for import cars! They replaced my hood on my 2009 Mini Cooper S and it was done so perfectly even the dealership couldn't tell. I also used them for some front end damage on my 2012 Mini Cooper S and once again they did not disappoint. I will never go to anyone but them for any body work on my car. This was the best bodyshop experience I've had in Phoenix. These guys are professional, and quick, and courteous. They didn't pull the whole "well, we are waiting on parts" deal that most shops do, nor did they let my car sit on ice while they collected a storage fee while waiting for parts. Scott's repaired my car once before and I was very pleased. Recently the hood of my red car had a slight collision with my white garage door, leaving a large white scratch on the car.I went to Scott's for a repair estimate and after a quick examination, they offered to try to rub out the mark. In less than ten minutes they repaired the damage completely and refused to accept any payment. You can't get better service than that. 2/26/2010 I recently moved to the Phoenix area from Wisconsin and on the day that my furniture arrived my parked 2009 model car was hit while I was having lunch. The damage was not extensive but having spent many years around the automobile business, repair shops, body shops and my own collector cars I was very concerned about finding a shop that could repair the damage and do the hard part of matching the paint. After the hailstorm my 2000 Ford F-350 had some good sized dents all over. It is white so a lot were very hard to see but each panel of my truck had close to 30-40 dents and dings each! I am very particular with my truck and I wash it by hand myself. I was very particular who I chose to fix it. I talked with Brett and he thoroughly explained how the process would go to get it back to like-new condition. He also spotted some places the hail caused damage that I did not see. He was very professional and I felt very comfortable leaving my pride and joy with him. Ron Carlson is a consummate professional and he took care of all the groundwork, working with the insurance company to get my car repaired in a timely manner. One Of The Worst Experiences Of My Life. Did Not Report Having My Car To My Insurance Company. My Insurance Company Had To Contact Me Three Weeks After Dropping Car Off Asking If I had Ever Taken It Anywhere To Get Fixed. After a minor rear-end collision I rejected the other party's insurance company's select body shops and upon the recommendation of my service writer at Bell Lexus, took my vehicle to Scott's. The estimator Edward requested and received a supplemental payment for additional parts not included in the original claim. Will recommend this place to anyone who needs glass/body work. How many times can you say a place charges you several hundred $$$ LESS than their estimate? Well, it happened here! The back window was totaled on our 97 Lexus Rx400h, and this is not a simple pop the new glass in thing, like a windshield; rather, the whole hatch had to be dismantled, the broken glass bits removed from the interior of the hatch and every possible crevice in the entire rear area, then the new OEM window glued in after putting everything back together, including the wiring for the defroster, the wiper, the Sirius XM, the gate operation, the AM/FM. Not only did they accomplish all this in less than 48 hours, but they also managed to detail the interior. Also, they referred me to a nearby car rental shop, where they have negotiated a very low rate for their customers. Ron et al, thank you so much for all your efforts, and for keeping us updated through the entire process! All in all, a great experience, after the high stress of the accident. read more

So lets say my car was a diamond in the rough! No bumper, front end dunzo and i had paint peeling off bad on my roof and starting to on my hood and my trunk (posted pictures). Insurance took care of my front end damage, replacing my hood, lights and ect. They even painted the new headlight for me because I had them tinted before the accident. I took care of getting a new bumper and they painted my trunk and roof to match. Lemme just say she came back looking like she did when i first got her! Shiny new diamond. Even waxed and detailed the car for me. The paint looks awesome, much thicker german paint than the paint nissan puts on originally. John sent me an update every week letting me know what they had done, what insurance was doing ect. It was there about a month, but most of that was due to my insurance having one adjuster for the state of AZ. They were great about everything! I dealt with john and JP, the owners son, who was referred to me by friends. It was easy and painless, they dealt directly with enterprise so no finding rides ect. I highly recommend them! read more

I've taken four vehicles to your shop over the years and the work done on the first three vehicles was amazing. After today, I will not be returning to Scott's. Just picked up my Hyundai Genesis from Ron, drove from Phoenix to Tempe and my car dies. I haven't even had my car back for 20 minutes and I was forced to buy a new battery ($300). So I called Ron to ask if they unplugged the battery while working on my car. His response was less than acceptable. His response, and I quote "it's not our fault." Absolutely horrible customer service. Now that I've been sitting in a parking lot for 3 hours, I've gotten a better look at my vehicle. There is over-spray on my car doors! Really? You've had my car in the paint shop for a week and I'm finding over-spray on my car doors! Had I known that the work done on my car was going to be this cheap, I would have gone somewhere else. read more

First, I will start with the bad...my family and I have been involved in enough fender benders and accidents that we now seem to be good friends with our Service Manager, JP (but I suppose that could be a good thing). Second, I would never give consideration to taking any vehicle to any other shop than Scott's. From the front desk to the boys that do the dirty work, the place is amazing! The work is always perfect, the communication is top notch, and they warranty all their work with no questions. In my previous life I spent 15 years in the auto industry, and body shops always suck (for all kinds of reasons)...and towards the latter part of my stint in the business, Scott's became a client of our wholesale parts department, and they were awesome (which in turn gained my loyalty as a client). My husband went in to try to get our BMW SUV repaired. Well it turns out that Ron one of the employees there to help with the evaluation didn't want to do any of the work. Someone hit our fender and we wanted to get it fixed right away. My husband has been working with the insurance of the person who hit us. Apparently they needed Don help and sent over another quote with the difference that the estimator made to ask the insurance to pay for it to cover the whole cost. It's pretty simple if you want our business please try to help us out don't try to pond us away and send us to call the insurance again. Someone hit us we are trying to give you business, Instead my husband went to Select auto across the street where Bud the owner was way more helpful and understanding and was willing to put in the work to help a customer though the process, and of course gain a customer. Refferals and customer service goes a long way and Coach's had neither. They lost our business and our refferals. read more

I wrote a review on 6/13/18. It was a positive review. Since then I had to take my truck back to Scott's. I was rear ended in my truck. The trailer hitch took quite a lot of the impact. The repair looked great but when I got it home I inspected it closer. I noticed that the hitch didn't look right. They didn't replace the main part of the hitch that took the impact. The insurance estimator that looked at the damage said that the hitch would be replaced. I took the truck back and they did order a new hitch and replaced it but I was disappointed that it wasn't replaced initially. I won't go into details but the explanation that I got didn't really go well with me. read more

The passager side side view mirror dismantled on my Lexus RX300. Someone must have knocked into it in the parking lot. I googled and found Scott's and with all the glowing reports on yelp called and went in. I was immediately given an estimate of the repair costs. The gentleman that did the assessment did not even remove the tape to look at the situation before giving me a written quote of approximately $734. About $550 for the mirror replacement. $200 for painting and labor. And the car would need to be there for two days-so a rental car. SERIOUSLY. Now you all may have money to burn but I dont. When I showed my suprise, this guy did not bat an eye. I went back to my office and in 30 seconds googled a parts place. In 48 hours I had a NEW Lexus side mirror for $106 and dropped it by THEN & NOW at 910 North Scottsdale Road. Two days later while I had lunch near by, they put the painted mirror on for $100. Yes a total price of $206. Seriously No customer service. $800 for a side mirror. Rich friends writing on yelp. That is all I can figure. read more

I brought my Audi TT in unscheduled after something heavy fell off the shelf in my garage and put a nasty dent in the passenger door. They took the car in on the spot, provided a detailed estimate and told me when the car would be completed. The car is painted a factory orange that is extremely difficult to color match but despite this they did an amazing job, on budget, and they finished way ahead of schedule. Their facilities are the cleanest and best organized of any body shop I have dealt with and their service is of the best quality.
