The food here is pretty good and the staff friendly. I stopped for breakfast one morning this week and was surprised (pleased) that they made their own corned beef hash. I ordered same and while it wasn't the absolute greatest hash that I have eaten, it was good. The eggs and hash browns ordered with it were cooked perfectly. I though it weird that they didn't sell tomato juice (only apple and orange). But minor point... The place does definitely need some interior redecorating. To be honest, it is "dingy-looking." New paint and new lights would do wonders for the dining area at a relatively small cost to the owners. I stop in again someday... read more

My parents have been coming here for quite some time and today I got to join in on the hype ! Ferretiz did not disappoint !! We were a party of about 10 and were seated super quickly. Drinks came within a couple minutes and food shortly after, and it was DELICIOUS ! We've missed this place so we decided to order delivery! Came fresh and still warm. We of course missed the friendly servers but we're glad we ordered. Also ordered pancakes that were just as delicious. read more

Wow! Amazingly fresh and delishious. We found this place on yelp and the reviews and photos looked great. Its a small cafe in a strip mall. The sevice was friendly and attentive. Check out their menu on yelp. I chose the chicken enchilada omelet with country potatoes. My friend chise eggs benedict florentine. Excellent portions, excellent prices. read more

I love this place! I have only ever been here for breakfast and it is consistently one of the best breakfast places here in Simi Valley. This is a small little restaurant with only a handful of tables inside and a few outside. It is not much to look at but the food is exceptional. Everything that I have ever ordered has been outstanding. My go to breakfast at Ferretiz is the California Omelet. I love the combination of avocado, tomatoes, bacon, and cheese. The country fried potatoes are crispy and well seasoned. I also really like the Country Fried Steak and Eggs and the Pancakes. They are also very accommodating and can usually make you something that is not on the menu. The service is excellent. There is usually only one person working the room, but she is always on top of everything and keeps the customers happy. The owner will also come out and check on you and make sure that everything is okay. The restaurant is always clean and well kept. There is plenty of parking in the lot. The lunch menu looks fantastic and one of these days, I am going to forgo the breakfast and try some of the lunch entrees! read more

Came for breakfast here on Saturday. First off this place does not look like much from the outside, but is quite nice inside. The inside is small and has seven tables sitting four people each. Our breakfast was top notch. 5-stars on the quality of food, excellent customer service, and reasonable prices; I am now a regular customer and will be back often. Originally we came to another place down the street but it was too crowded so we uesed Yelp and found this place with a couple other 5-star reviews; seemed like a logical choice. I am sure happy we found this small little breakfast place. They also serve lunch. Pay by cash, credit, or debit. Ample parking, clean bathrooms, and clean kitchen. Waitress./hostess very helpful and friendly. Owener was on site and was very friendly as well. read more

BEST breakfast and brunch place in Simi Valley. Looking for a place where you're greeted with a warm welcome and served with AMAZING fresh cook meal? This is DEFINITELY your spot!!!! I came back here for the second time today and one of the waiter remembered me, how AWESOME is that. The first time I went here I ordered a country fried steak combo with a side of French Toast and I only paid $11, WHAT A GREAT DEAL; I don't know about you but where else can you get a deal like that. Excellent service from the owner Armando and the waitress Lisa , food was awesome and tasted great!!!! If you are in the area , don't try anywhere else , except this place . Prices are very good . This was our first time here and won't be our last , Armando also owns the place next door Burger Express which we are going to try in the afternoon. A friend recommended Ferretiz (which is the name of the owner, or so I'm told) as a great place to get really good food. Was that recommendation right on! The outdoor seating was something I hadn't expected and it turned out to be special. The young waiter, John, was polite, professional, communicative, and knowledgeable about the menu. He knew what customer service was all about. The food arrived and that was the second confirmation of my friend's recommendation. Outstanding food, nicely served, wonderful taste, and nearly more than I could eat so a take home carton was a must. My iced tea glass was never empty and the bill was more than reasonable for what received. I highly suggest you try this place out. You won't be disappointed. read more

My wife and I always go to breakfast after Mass. We went to Ferretiz Grill and Cafe. We were greeted by Andrina and Served by Octavio. After being seated and looking at the menu, I got up and walk towards the white board to read the specials. Moments later I was approached by Octavio who was very intimidating, just kiddingkidding, he is a very kind person. He asked if I had any questions,I said I was going to order the Steak and Eggs he said that's very good. He said you may like to try the Steak Skillet and described the dish. Immediately I said I will take it! It arrived to our table fajita style sizzling and steaming! This suggestion was not a disappointment! We are definitely loyal customers. Octavio, Andrina and Armondo and the rest of the staff are very tentative, personal and approachable. The atmosphere is pleasant. Return customers for sure! Thank you all. read more

My fiance and I love to try a breakfast spot when we head to Simi Valley for car service. This time we came here. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros that came with beans, sour cream and home fries(I think that is what they were called). Everything about my meal was Delicious. My fiance was jealous of how good my meal looked when it was put in front of me. He said "you should have told me to get that!" (he's a white italian man, who never saw or heard of huevos rancheros). He ordered the french toast combo that came with 2 really good sized french toast, two eggs, two bacon (there was a choice of bacon, ham, or sausage), and a large amount of hash browns. He loved everything so much he couldn't share a piece of his french toast.... We couldn't believe our meal was about $20! Great deal for such delicious food. We will definitely be back! read more

Hole in the wall and its in Simi, less than 5 minutes from the house and I never even try it or see it. But after once or twice a week here now I can really do review. A MUST try specially when u live in Simi, the best there is. My favorite is country fried steak, fried to perfection and the gravy totally amazing. Pair it with O'Brian and French toast for me. Highlights is their hospitality, Armando is like uncle you never knew and the staff just like your cousins. Something to look forward whenever I come here for breakfast. I tried it after so many favorable Yelp recommendations. I'm so glad I did. What a wonderful place for a meal!! I had a delicious Denver omelette with O'Brien potatoes and fresh homemade salsa. Fantastic and a large portion at a very reasonable price. There were a lot a people there on an early Sunday morning so the locals know about it. The owner was very friendly and took real interest in satisfying his customers. It was a great experience. read more

Went to this place based and yelp reviews and they were right this place is great! The food was tasty and made to order. We were greeted promptly and brought drinks immediately. The food was great and when an item was missing it was replaced and compt! This is a family run place and it shows. The attention to detail and service are excellent. Ate here for the first time today and it is my new favorite breakfast. I had the cal-mex benedict, which is made with a special tangy creamy hollandaise sauce. It was DELICIOUS. My mother in law had a chili verde omelette which was also amazing, so full of flavor. Our server was kind and attentive. The owner spoke with us as well, explaining that they make everything, including the sauces and salsas, in house. I can't wait to come back and try everything else. read more

This is probably my new favorite breakfast place. They have young, polite, hardworking hosts and servers, my drink is never empty and the food is excellent! Today is my 4th time I've been here and we had Jon as our server. He had wonderful and thoughtful suggestions, was attentive and patient! We also LOVE Edgar! He remembers us every time we come in and brings us our drinks without us even having to order! Definitely Simi Valleys best kept secret and a total diamond!! I am writing this as I am actually eating, so it will may change as I eat. So far this place is great. The waiter gave us some great recommendations on the vast menu. He recommended a side of biscuits and gravy and they didn't disappoint. The biscuits were flaky and light and the gravy was nice and peppery like I like. I ordered the meat lovers skillet special (pictured) and it looks and smells amazing. It is equally as delicious! So much that I burned my mouth because I just wanted to devour it. Overall this has been a great breakfast and we will be back...... tomorrow. read more

The food is always fresh. The coffee is good. The bacon is delicious and my husband loves their Eggs Benedict. The ONLY downside is we can never remember the name so we refer to it as the "really good breakfast spot by the All Valley Escrow." One of our very favorite spots. read more

Easily my favorite breakfast place in the area. I've never had something here that wasn't delicious. Their house breakfast sandwich is my favorite and it's all at a great price. Whoever decided to use garlic bread as the bun is a genius. The people here are nice and are quick to remember you and your favorite drink/order. I would come here every day if I lived closer but it's good as an occasional treat too. Best breakfast for the best price and the best service! read more

The two girls working the front were so sweet and nice and the chef/cook did an amazing job (wish I would've gotten their names but it was the Friday afternoon staff!) I entered into the location and was no cashier in the front. She was at the end of the counter expediting the food out to the guests that were seated. She saw that there was a line forming and began to come to the front to take the guests that were waiting in line. Very critical to keep employee's position at all times and very important to keep your location staff at peak hours though out the day or an at evening time. This has happened a few times and unfortunately it happens when I come in. Go figure. One of My favorites sandwiches is the BBQ Tri-Tip sandwich, the only thing is I would like is if the bread could be heated up or to complete the sandwich. Instead of the Bread kept at room temperature. just a thought. For the most part the location is kept clean, good job on this!

I was incredibly impressed by his work ethic. He moved a massive amount of outdoor furniture from the patio all the way to the storage ( assumed ) area entirely by himself. It was quite a distance, and I'd estimate he made more than a dozen trips, working until he was red-faced and breaking a sweat. What impressed me even more was that as soon as he finished that heavy lifting, he went right back to cleaning tables and helping out without missing a beat. I hope his employer recognizes what a dedicated and hard-working employee they have. It's rare to see that level of effort, and as a customer, it definitely didn't go unnoticed!"

We arrived at their unassuming storefront location as the first patrons of the day, were warmly greeted and immediately seated. From this moment forward, my wife and I agreed: If anyone hopes to run a highly successful small restaurant, Bella's Bistro is the template. Inside, the ambiance was tasteful with gentle background music at the absolutely perfect tempo and volume to allow for conversation. We found the furnishings, tableware and restroom immaculate. Fresh flowers and a candle adorned each table, and the decorations for Valentine's Day were just the right tone, conveying appeal without being garish. Kudos to the staff for getting it right on all of the above. Though I generally set expectations low for the wine list or bartending at a small establishment, Bella's features a diverse wine list and specialty cocktails that pair very well with their menu. Of particular note was the superb crafting of cocktails during our visit - again, exceeding our expectations. It was during cocktail service that we noticed the full-service bar tucked in the rear corner of the restaurant, offering barstool seating and counter service for those who may be so inclined. We shared a nicely prepared caesar salad, while enjoying the basket of varied breads. While refrigerated butter pats were provided in the basket, it would have been a tad easier and more appealing if a small container of whipped butter had been offered instead. Our entrees included their homemade ravioli as well as chicken parmigiana, the latter included a large perfectly crafted portion of chicken accompanied by perfectly prepared spaghetti. To say this restaurant knows how to make and served great pasta is in understatement, with the ravioli a choice to be savored. A simple cheesecake dessert topped off the evening. Though the restaurant was full as our meal ended, we never felt rushed or ignored. Service was at all times attentive but never overbearing. There was genuine interest in our enjoyment and satisfaction. We encourage you to try Bella's Bistro!

However, we came in to watch the game so we sat at the bar and read the menu. The menu is really overwhelming with so many options. I ended up getting the chili with two flour tortillas but you add to it like cheese, onions, etc. my fiancée got the chicken burger and I took a small bite, pretty good. The sweet potatoes fries nice and crispy. The bartender said all the pizzas are good which I believe her cause I saw a few people order them and they looked good! I also noticed calamari being ordered at a few tables so I'll def order those next time! As fun as it can be, the bar area can get a little rowdy. Wasn't the vibe I was going for but hey next time I know and maybe we'll sit at the booths. There's a huge parking lot and outside area to sit at. If you're not there to watch games, looks like a cool spot to eat at.
