We were looking for a brunch place that could accommodate 7 of us on Easter. When I messaged them on Yelp, they said of course! They had a table ready for us and a large selection of breakfast and lunch items to choose from. I of course ordered the Eggs Benedict with fruit since why mess with perfection. The whole family enjoyed their choices and we had great service.

We enjoyed our first visit to Scrambled Eggs Cafe. We weren't the biggest fan of their Cafe De Olla, but the food was good and reasonably priced. We ordered the California Omelette and Machaca Plate as well as the Tres Leches Pancakes to share. Our entrees were decent, but needed a bit of help from their homemade habanero sauce. It's spicy and packled with flavor! Definitely worth the burn. The Tres Leches Pancakes were by far the best thing we ordered. They were perfectly sweet and refreshing. The food and customer service aren't good enough to rate Scrambled Eggs Cafe 5 stars but, overall we enjoyed our meal and will be back for more!

I asked our server Marlene for suggestions. I said I definitely wanted Mexican food. She recommended the chilaquiles. Normally I won't order because everyone makes them differently. She explained they use the chile commonly used in Mexico City, I gave it a try. I got rice and beans instead of potatoes. Chilaquiles were delicious. Eggs over easy cooked perfectly. The creaminess of the egg with the flavor of the salsa was a perfect union. I didn't love the raw onions but it complimented the chips. The rice and beans were abuela approved. Beans were flavorful. Rice was perfectly cooked and very comforting homemade taste. Marlene was super sweet and attentive even though she was the only one working. The restaurant is very cute. I loved all the cow decor. There's a few booths, inside tables and outdoor seating.

Went here to have a nice Sunday Morning breakfast and it was good. The server girl was polite and such. The only critique I'd say is ditch the plastic drink cups with glassware Restrooms are clean

It is lovely to have a breakfast/brunch place open from 7 AM- 2 PM. There are not a lot of these eateries with this kind of timing, especially if you got up early. However, one of these places is a less known, hardly advertised restaurant, called Scrambled Eggs Cafe, in Simi Valley. Walking in around noon, there were only two other tables that were occupied. The cozy, uniquely decorated place was quiet and one gets the brain thought, unsolicited of course, did I come to the right place? I had done some homework and pretty much knew what I was going to order. Still, I was inquisitive and eager to peruse the extensive menu and, as expected, ended up still choosing my favorite class of breakfast selection. Needless to say, it had to be an Eggs Benedict concoction. They had more than one choice in this category and I decided to go for the California Eggs Benedict, with bacon, tomato, and instead of the avocado, I asked for the sautéed spinach. Just had the urge, to try a new twist to this combination. They fully obliged. For the side, I chose potatoes, requesting the best of both worlds. Half of the house potatoes and half of the hash browns. They politely consented. When the breakfast dish came to my table, it was simple, but had griddle aroma and one could observe and smell the freshness. I first went for the potatoes. Both of them blew me away. The house potatoes were fresh, nicely browned, not overdone, a light crisp on the outside, perfect texture, amazing taste. You could actually absorb the rich starch of the potatoes. Hashbrowns were the same, very nicely prepared. Needless to say, the poached eggs were perfect. It is not often that you come to a place where every Item on a multi component dish, is superb. On top of that, the service was high class. Thank you, Augustine. He kept checking on me constantly, to make sure I was OK. Wow. What a memorable and unforgettable experience, at Scrambled Eggs Cafe.

My wife called it in as a phone pick up, I chose the BBQ chicken wrap, and she picked the Tipsy toast. They said it would be ready in 15 and they sure kept that promise, great looking place indoors, clean and great staff. The wrap has a ton of flavor and drenched in their sauce which makes every bite so delicious. My wife liked her dish as well Good food and good service!

Dirty chipped plates and tomato stems

Took 25 minutes to get the food. When they brought out our food, the order was incorrect. My kids fruit cup was sticky and dirty-- had avocado remnants in it. My plate was dirty with strawberry juice but didnt order strawberries. The hollandaise was grainy and raw tasting like flour. We had to ask 3 times for silverware before receiving it. The restaurant had several servers and was not all the way full during our visit. The table was incredibly sticky.

Wasn't obnoxious about giving good service but on top of it. Got our orders right, was accommodating. I love the ambience. Not California dining with bright lights and high noise level. Old time sexy ambience where you think the couple in the next booth might be having an affair. I'm on the west end of Simi so I forget about Sutter's. I'll make more of an effort however. Cherry cobbler excellent.

I had been here years ago and remembered it being a solid steakhouse type restaurant with good comfort food, so we were excited to come back. First off, the restaurant itself is beautiful -- huge booths, cozy lighting, and a great atmosphere. We also had a young waiter who was absolutely wonderful. Friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and truly the highlight of the experience. Drinks also came out quickly and were strong. Unfortunately, the food completely missed the mark. I ordered the half rack of ribs with a loaded baked potato and salad. The 4 little ribs were tiny with barely any meat on them, and the baked potato tasted strange -- almost like artificial butter or margarine instead of real butter and sour cream. There was hardly any bacon and way too many green onions. The salad was basically chopped iceberg lettuce with a clump of what looked like canned tomatoes on top. The blue cheese dressing was actually delicious, but overall the meal was disappointing, especially for $33, and I honestly left hungry. My husband ordered the BBQ grilled chicken and the chicken breast was shockingly small -- it honestly looked like a kids meal. The fries tasted like basic frozen fries. My son's mac and cheese was honestly awful and tasted sour. A box of Kraft would have been better. The cheeseburger was average at best -- I've genuinely had better burgers at youth soccer tournaments. It really feels like this restaurant is struggling when it comes to food quality and portion sizes, which is unfortunate because the location, ambience, and service all have so much potential. I felt bad because our waiter truly did a great job, but good service can't make up for disappointing food at these prices.

Everything was so fresh...the bread, the chicken, avacado, greens.. and our sandwiches were loaded with ingredients. Usually I taste more bread than anything else but that wasn't the case here. It was THE most delicious sandwich and the salads were also super fresh. The two girls working the front were so sweet and nice and the chef/cook did an amazing job (wish I would've gotten their names but it was the Friday afternoon staff!) My son even got another sandwich after finishing his first lol. This location is definitely our new regular spot. Definitely recommend.

I entered into the location and was no cashier in the front. She was at the end of the counter expediting the food out to the guests that were seated. She saw that there was a line forming and began to come to the front to take the guests that were waiting in line. Very critical to keep employee's position at all times and very important to keep your location staff at peak hours though out the day or an at evening time. This has happened a few times and unfortunately it happens when I come in. Go figure. One of My favorites sandwiches is the BBQ Tri-Tip sandwich, the only thing is I would like is if the bread could be heated up or to complete the sandwich. Instead of the Bread kept at room temperature. just a thought. For the most part the location is kept clean, good job on this!

You'll hear many patrons describe this restaurant as a hidden gem. Believe them. From our observation, reservations are highly desirable and may prove necessary for weekend nights. The only seatings available when we called a day earlier were at 4:30 or after 7:00 PM. We took the earlier, and frankly are glad we did. We arrived at their unassuming storefront location as the first patrons of the day, were warmly greeted and immediately seated. From this moment forward, my wife and I agreed: If anyone hopes to run a highly successful small restaurant, Bella's Bistro is the template. Inside, the ambiance was tasteful with gentle background music at the absolutely perfect tempo and volume to allow for conversation. We found the furnishings, tableware and restroom immaculate. Fresh flowers and a candle adorned each table, and the decorations for Valentine's Day were just the right tone, conveying appeal without being garish. Kudos to the staff for getting it right on all of the above. Though I generally set expectations low for the wine list or bartending at a small establishment, Bella's features a diverse wine list and specialty cocktails that pair very well with their menu. Of particular note was the superb crafting of cocktails during our visit - again, exceeding our expectations. It was during cocktail service that we noticed the full-service bar tucked in the rear corner of the restaurant, offering barstool seating and counter service for those who may be so inclined. We shared a nicely prepared caesar salad, while enjoying the basket of varied breads. While refrigerated butter pats were provided in the basket, it would have been a tad easier and more appealing if a small container of whipped butter had been offered instead. Our entrees included their homemade ravioli as well as chicken parmigiana, the latter included a large perfectly crafted portion of chicken accompanied by perfectly prepared spaghetti. To say this restaurant knows how to make and served great pasta is in understatement, with the ravioli a choice to be savored. A simple cheesecake dessert topped off the evening. Though the restaurant was full as our meal ended, we never felt rushed or ignored. Service was at all times attentive but never overbearing. There was genuine interest in our enjoyment and satisfaction. We encourage you to try Bella's Bistro!

First Visit - Definitely Coming Back…read more This was my first time at Junkyard in Simi Valley, and it did not disappoint. We ordered the fish & chips, stinking fries, chicken Parmesan, and the Godfather sandwich, paired with a Cactus Cooler and a MadeWest Hazy IPA. Everything was excellent--from the crispy, flavorful fries to the perfectly cooked chicken Parmesan and hearty sandwich. You can tell they take pride in the quality and consistency of their food. What really stood out was the service. Anastasia was outstanding--she gave great recommendations, explained the local favorites, and made sure we had everything we needed. True 5-star service from start to finish. It's not easy to find a place that delivers both great food and great service, but Junkyard absolutely does. We'll definitely be back--and bringing friends next time. -Ian Lantz

However, we came in to watch the game so we sat at the bar and read the menu. The menu is really overwhelming with so many options. I ended up getting the chili with two flour tortillas but you add to it like cheese, onions, etc. my fiancée got the chicken burger and I took a small bite, pretty good. The sweet potatoes fries nice and crispy. The bartender said all the pizzas are good which I believe her cause I saw a few people order them and they looked good! Wasn't the vibe I was going for but hey next time I know and maybe we'll sit at the booths. There's a huge parking lot and outside area to sit at. If you're not there to watch games, looks like a cool spot to eat at.
