So we had problems with our ac last year. Sea came put and basically said that our system was shot. The home warranty that we got with our home when we purchased it 6 months earlier wouldn't cover much. So Sea sells us a brand new heat/ac unit for about $5k. Skip forward one year to 100 degree heat and the thing starts failing AGAIN! We call their office and they can't make it out for five days. I suppose my 89 year old mother-in-law who is a WWII Vet Widow will just have to suffer for five days with a malfunctioning AC. FYI our old ac worked about the same. He spoke to me very professionally, kindly, patently and did not treat me like I was an idiot for asking the questions that I did. When he came to do my HVAC service for the first time, he explained everything he was doing and what the things were supposed to be doing so I had knowledge to assess any potential problems. A little history before commenting on this week's HVAC service. I first encountered Craig Sea around 2011 when I was remodeling some badly damaged bank-owned condos. I found Craig to be honest and fair. He stood behind his work. I also used his company on my former home with good results. When my sister-in-law called asking for a HVAC reference, she had just received a $10,000 bid to replace her non-functioning system. I suggested she call Sea for a second opinion. Craig's technician came out and fixed her unit for $100 in parts. Fast forward to last week. An elderly widow in our senior community had her AC go out. The company that installed the HVAC unit 6.5 years ago couldn't come out for around 4 weeks. Looking at 100+ degree days coming up, we called Sea HVAC and a tech was out in about a week and fixed the unit. Thank you scheduling staff -- you are always polite and helpful. My neighbor reported the tech who fixed her unit was kind and respectful (and of course efficient). Craig Sea has an excellent company built on outstanding customer service, great technicians, and competent support staff. What started as a simple AC system servicing from Beutler HVAC ended up in the "much needed replacement" of our entire HVAC system which would've cost us $18,000! Mind you, my house is only 9 years old. I went with my gut feeling and called Sea HVAC and Randy came out and took a second look. In short Randy did the following... 1. Seth came out earlier this week to fix our AC and we couldn't be happier. Not only was he friendly and professional, he explained everything that he was doing in a way that we could understand so that we are totally confident in the work he did. He showed us how filthy the coils were and cleaned them (we live in an apartment), cleaned out the gross drainage pipes, added some tabs to the pan to keep them grunge-free, repaired some damaged couplings, checked the coolant and the blower and cleaned out the unit outside. The difference in performance was very noticeable. I was kind of anxious about having someone in my house all day but not only did he do an incredible job, he only took about 90 minutes to do it. I had these guys out do work on my heater. After they had finished I smelled gas by the furnace. I had them out three more times. Having been given excuses from maybe its not gas you smell to wait until winter we will try and get it fixed then. I finally called PG&E. The PG&E tech found the leak in the work these guys had done in about 5 seconds. I will not use them again unless I am trying to blow my house up. read more

I originally hired Garick to clear the condensate drain and after a couple of months the problem came back. I asked them to return and fix the problem but they insisted that I pay them again and offered no guarantee that the problem would not come back. So I called SEA Heating and Air and Randy found the problem and fixed it. He also guaranteed the work. Randy was very professional. In addition, SEA's price was lower than Garick's. I really from my heart cannot say enough great things about this company. From the very first hello, as Seth was putting on the paper covers on his shoes (which I said he did not need to do but he insisted) to the very last handshake and goodbye, this company is everything you want in service. the most annoying aspect to the heating and AC repair is the pressured pitch to purchase an entire new system (because yours is old and outdated, etc...) Seth did not do this and does not believe in this approach at all! He fully diagnosed my problem, repaired my heating system, and out he went with not a word about replacing my entire Heating/AC. My husband and I bought our house in Roseville in 2011. The air conditioning unit had been purchased from Sea Heating and Air Conditioning by the original owner. Since we were not planning to move in for several years, we hired a property manager to handle the rental of the property for us. A few years ago the company they use for HVAC work informed us after the annual inspection that we needed to increase the capacity of some of our ductwork. Assuming they knew what they were talking about, we accepted their recommendation and paid them to do that work. The very next year, when our property manager again had the same HVAC company do the annual inspection, they said there was a part that needed replacing. Since I suspected they thought they had found an easy mark, I contacted Sea Heating and Air Conditioning and asked them to do an inspection. They confirmed my suspicions that everything was working perfectly and nothing needed to be replaced. Now I go directly to Sea Heating and Air Conditioning for my annual inspections. They are wonderful!! Everyone I've dealt with is incredibly nice. We have never had any issues with scheduling which is great since visits have to be coordinated with our tenant. I met Craig, the owner, right after we bought our house and found him to be very nice, polite, honest, thorough and fun to talk to. He did the most recent annual inspection and our tenant told me how much he also liked and appreciated Craig. We will finally be moving into our house in 2017 and will most definitely continue our wonderful relationship with Sea Heating and Air Conditioning! read more

These guys are ridiculously inefficient. Had an insurance heater repair 1st trip out...they didn't have the right part. Then had to wait 5 days for them to get authorization from the insurance company. Finally called me to set an appointment after they got authorization...appointment was another three days out...now 8 days without a heater....avg temp at night 35 degrees! Gave me a 10-3 window for appointment. Repairman called at 2 saying he would be there in 40 minutes...arrived an hour and five minutes later. Repairman stayed in truck for 10 minutes before I went out to find out why he wasn't coming in....he told me that he couldn't find authorization number on paperwork...THEN????? Didn't check paperwork at start of day? Before he left previous appointment which was 40 minutes away? He knew appointment wouldn't be scheduled unless authorization given...but wouldn't budge until he got the number. That took another 15 minutes before he finally got it. Needless to say all of my appointments the rest of the afternoon had to be rescheduled. Amazingly inefficient! Will call insurance company & tell them...will never use again...recommend no one use. read more
