Service was exceptional. We even met the owner--so kind--and she shared that many of the recipes come from her grandmother. Well, I can tell you... Grandma was a great cook! The Lamb Shank was rich and tender, fall-off-the-bone perfection. It came with fresh carrots and creamy homemade mashed potatoes. The Grilled Octopus appetizer was a standout. It takes a special chef to do this well, and they nailed it here--each bite was tender, flavorful, and melt-in-your-mouth good. It was served over rich, olive oil-warmed tomatoes, onions and spinach, that complemented it perfectly. We found this place only because the Eagle Bar & Grill in the same shopping center was closed--and I'm so glad we did. Thank you for the delicious food and warm hospitality. Had we been told you won a $30 rebate off our next check, we would have been happy but that is vastly different than telling someone they won dinner for 2 where the average bill is around $80 and then telling them you're only getting $30 taken off the bill. Inside we were greeted by a knight in shining armor. The dining rooms were decorated with posters and photographs of Portugal. The restaurant was spacious and very clean. We were warmly welcomed by Carla, our waitress, from outside of Lisbon. Service was impeccable. We enjoyed the bread & olives while perusing the extensive menu. They were meat, seafood, and family meals. There was a drink menu with lots of wines and beer. There was a full bar with European soccer on the screens. We shared a pitcher of white sangria that got better as the evening went on.
