Was really excited to try this place after all of the great reviews. We had the shrimp summer rolls, pork banh mi, and the Bo Kho. The Banh mi and summer rolls were okay. The flavor of the pork was good but I wish there was more veg in it. The summer rolls didn't have much flavor but they weren't bad. The Bo Kho was a huge disappointment. While the broth was good the beef was super fatty and tough and needed to be braised longer. The beef was completely inedible. We'll probably give it another try, but the first impression was a bit lackluster. read more

All we wanted was two bubble teas. Not to wait in store we called our order in. The young lady said it will take 10min. Ok. Came in after 10min. She didn't even start making them. She proceeded to charge me first, looked all over for a pen to sign the receipt. Then was picking up phone and taking a long order. I was pretty excited that a new restaurant is open at Edgewater and it was pretty packed on Friday night. I ordered Pad Thai and a Clam dish. The flavor was fine but it is salty and food is served pretty slow. There are a bunch of waiters serving but they still look like super busy and couldn't attend each table on time. Went to Pa De Thai down the road instead @Lynn, the issue is that you had 2 tables available outside and I had a 4 yr daughter recovering from sickness who was cold inside and we weren't even served. We've been here few times with the family and pretty much everything is tasty, service is good, I hope the chairs were little more comfortable and not metal. In the cold winter months, its just annoying to squish and freeze our bottoms, but, thats about the only thing I could say somewhat negative about the place. I saw in the window that they were making meals for hospital workers. My sister works in Englewood Hospital as a respiratory therapist on the front lines of this deadly disease. I went in and filled out a card and gave them $40 to provide meals to her department. The other day, she called and said they arrived with 8 delicious meals for her and her group... they were thrilled with the quality of the food and the wonderful note that was attached to the food from the restaurant. I love this place, the service is great, the food is delicious and a great value. And they offered this wonderful service to our first responders and front line workers. This place opened up recently and so I went to try it out. The place is a good size and very cozy. They have outdoor dining area and a nice very of the river. The menu is Vietnamese/Thai. My family had the Vietnamese beef stew, jasmine fried rice, Grilled pork chops, and the Thai basil chicken. The food was excellent and very authentic fusion of Vietnamese/Thai. Both me and my Husband love this place. It's a nice upgrade from the other options in the area. The vegetarian options are amazing - I'm obsessed with the tofu bahn mi. Had it 3 times. The spring rolls are delicious. My husband said it's the best pho he's had in a long time with tons of flavor and great portions of meat. If you want quality over quantity, this is the place to go to. The fried banana dessert was sooo good. Not too sweet. Oh and the sesame bubble tea - YUM!! Went with my husband for lunch today. Never had been there and just happened to find it because we were going to Trader Joe.....what a pleasant surprise! Food came out hot and delicious. We love SEAK. I would say that the food is Thai Fusion. Service is good and the restaurant is BYOB. We absolutely adore the owners Karen and Jason. They create a very family oriented vibe which makes us feel like home when we dine there. Our favorite dishes are the chicken wing appetizer, the sandwiches are amazing, and curry entrees, and all of the noodle dishes are great. Karen put us onto the fried cheesecake for dessert which is amazing! It's a fried cheesecake rolled in brown sugar, topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and mango drizzle. Seak is a wonderful place to eat - really pretty and well designed - smells awesome as soon as you walk in the door! Great seating choices with outdoor dining next to the river with amazing NYC views. Now let's get to the best part - the food was DELICIOUS! The grilled shrimp summer rolls - amazing! The pad see ew with shrimp was also good. It is byob so we also had a bottle of our own wine but they had a nice ice bucket and wine glasses. I've been waiting for this place to open. First, the atmosphere is great, comfortable setting and friendly staff. They put a lot of attention to the space with is lovely. The food was delusions! I had the Tom Ka and my girlfriend had the Chicken Bum Mi. Both dishes were fantastic. We can't wait to go back to try the wings that looked so yummy going by. The food is absolutely delicious! The owners James and Karen make sure that your experience is perfect and take the time to explain the menu in detail. The manila clams are so flavorful and the portions are very generous. The salmon dish in lemongrass is one of the tastiest preparations I've tasted. The curry dishes are colorful and tasty and if you are new to curry the owners make sure to bring you a little sampler trio so that you can taste the varieties. I was so exited to FINALLY have a Pho spot opening in town! And even more exited to see lots of little GFs on the menu next to all of the items that are gluten free! For apps, we tried the GF spring rolls and GF garlic shrimp summer rolls. Both were great! The summer roll had big, juicy, shrimp inside and a tasty dipping sauce. My pho was delicious and the broth was perfectly balanced. My only criticism: when I order pho elsewhere, it usually comes with little side place of bean sprouts, asian basil, and lime and there's often hot sauce and hoisin sauce on the table to spruce things up a little! My mom's bun also didn't come with any sauce and we had to ask for one. I know it is newly opened and I will definitely be returning regardless! read more

I really wanted to love this place, but I was met with a sour experience here late last month. I came with my partner after being recommended here from my family and friends. We were sat promptly and our table had a nice view. We were greeted shortly by a server named Anna/Anne who seemed nice - she told us she would be back to take our order. After looking over the menu, we looked around for her and she was taking care of a table a few feet away from us. We tried to get her attention for the next 30 minutes and realized how much time had passed since she gave us the menus; we even tried to get the attention of other wait staff but to no success. After waiting a little over 30 minutes for service, we decided to leave and grab food elsewhere. The cherry on top was when we headed out and our waitress told us to "have a good night," I'm sure she was just routinely saying so, but it was a little off putting that she didn't realize we were one of her tables. What's worse is that it was not busy at all - there were 8 other tables occupied when we walked in/out and at least 4 waiters... most of the waiters were just standing around chatting which was probably the worst part of it all. We left disappointed and too hungry to bring it up to the staff, as most of them seemed preoccupied with one another- plus it was getting late and we were running out of options to eat at that point, so we decided just to leave. I had cashew beef and veggies...tender and awesome and NOT over cooked! My friends had Shrimp Pad Thai and their specialty SEAK Pho...an amazing combination of various beef dishes in a fabulous soup! And to top it all off...an amazing list of bubble teas. I loved Mango...my friends were partial to Taro and Black Sesame. You almost feel guilty drinking it because it's like a fab dessert! I have never ever written a review on Yelp, but because of the experience I had, I am motivated to post a review for this restaurant. This is by far the worst "THAI" restaurant that I've ever been to! I had the Thai Basil Chicken. It was flavorless. The chicken seemed tired of being recooked and dressed with a dark-glazed-gooey sauce. The service was horrible. Our waitress was a lot more focused on making sure her co-worker was given a proper massage. We were never asked the typical "How's everything?", nor were we approached with our check. We had to walk up and ask for our check. To be very fair, the strawberry limeade drink I had was delicious, but, with sincerity, the rest was less than a star. read more

Came here last weekend for the first time and it was such an enjoyable experience. It's BYOB so we brought a bottle of wine and they provided us with an ice bucket and wine glasses (no extra charge). We got the grilled shrimp summer rolls to start and they were sooo delicious. For entrees, we ordered the Thai basil (very spicy) and vermicelli noodles. I really want to try their banh mi next time. Our server was very helpful and friendly (although it took a while for her to come around to us to get our dessert order, by which time two desserts were already sold out, including one we really wanted to try so that was a bummer. But it was a busy weekend evening so that's understandable). It was so nice enjoying our meal and wine right by the water with a nice breeze. I definitely want to come back soon! Unfortunately I had to take a star off because the reservation process was a bit confusing. When I called the restaurant they told me to call 2.5 hours before arriving to reserve a table but when we called again another person said they don't take reservations. Just to be sure, we called again later and were able to make a reservation for that evening. I wish they would have a simpler online reservation system (I see there's a yelp wait list but we called to make sure we got a waterfront table). read more
