It's not the most authentic food, but it's all right and very convenient. We got the massaman curry and house pho this time. I am always happy to find a spot with good food and a nice view as well. Seak seamed to fit the bill based on Yelp, so we dined alfresco for a Thursday night dinner. The outdoor seating is right by the Hudson River and offers great views of upper Manhattan. The setting is very casual. Service: upon walking in, you are immediately informed that you have 90 minutes at your outside table. Service was pleasant but initially a bit rushed. Our entrees were served before we could finish our appetizers and the table became quite crowded. However, after the entrees arrived and the plates were settled, we did enjoy a better pace with the meal. Lunch review: the portions are small but lunch comes with soup. The see ew tasted as it should. If you sit outdoors facing the Hudson River, you can request for an umbrella to keep it shady. Love going to Seak when I am in the area & just want a place to sit down and eat (love going to Mitsuwa next door but there just isn't anywhere to sit right now and it can get insanely busy). When I come to Seak, I always opt in for the outdoor seating even pre-pandemic because the view of the city is just fabulous. I've tried the Vietnamese and Thai dishes here and I will say I really enjoy the Vietnamese menu items more (really enjoyed the Bon Bo Hue and Banh Mi Frites). Everything is delicious but the Thai food is definitely on the sweeter side but don't worry you can always ask for extra spices on the side. Oh, and don't forget to get a side of Thai Tea on the side ;) During this pandemic, there is still outdoor seating but there is a 90 minute minute for dine in as space is limited. My boyfriend and I came here for dinner the other day. We decided to order a bunch of appetizers, spring rolls, chicken satay, chili salted chicken wings and banh mi fries. The spring rolls were good and chicken wings were great. Everything else was .. pretty awful. Also the banh mi fries were suppose to be "twice fried waffle fries" as explained on the menu, we received curly fries .. not a big deal but it should of been communicated to us when we ordered. We also ordered pad kee mao with beef and the grilled sesame beef banh mi sandwich. The pad kee mao (drunken noodles) was so bland and unpleasant, we didn't eat more than a bite. The sesame beef banh mi was good other than the sriracha aioli ... something about it tasted ... off. I love sriracha usually this wasn't spicy or anything just had a nasty taste. We also ordered the peanut butter explosion, which had more of a chocolate taste than peanut butter. Nothing about the food or service here would warrant a return. read more

Came here for a birthday dinner for my partner and it could not have gone any better. Our waiter went above and beyond for us and we felt like we got true special treatment. The food and service is always great here. The green curry and cute little soda bottles are everything. I would recommend this as a nice date spot, just catching up with a friend and even going there with your family when they come to visit. My friend loves drunken noodles. This was by far the worst takeaway we have had in a long time. We ordered locally to support our community but that was a mistake. The food was bland and everything was so greasy and mushy. I literally don't know how a culinary professional would allow this food to be delivered to a customer that paid money to eat it. I can't even describe the flavor because there was none. I don't know how this company is still in business. We threw 99.9% in the trash then had to remove it from the house because of the stench. SAVE YOUR MONEY! Walked in, and it's a chill atmosphere. Seated right away which is always nice! Decent restaurant for a date night or hanging out with friends. Ate the Grilled Garlic Shrimp Summer Rolls for an appetizer. This was rolled up very nicely and tasted great! The rolls came with a nice sauce with peanuts sprinkled on top. So, this is a delivery review. So I don't have information on parking and bathroom situations Things that I loved here was the ease of choosing gluten free food! Easy to identify too!! I had the veggie summer rolls (gluten free) and they were DELICIOUS!! I almost wish I had two orders for my meal it was literally perfect. Even delivery so it lacked lots of crunch but I can imagine it's pristinely crunchy but like light flaky crunch not one people with dental concerns should worry. Very fresh tasting! I also had GF tofu pad Thai. It was okay. The noodles were so greasy so that was good, the tofu was rather plain though. My veggie folks know good tofu needs some prep. Typically when I order tofu with Asian inspired dishes they do a great job of marinating or pan frying but these were quickly seared and thrown in. It bad, just unremarkable. Noodles were fine. A bit too much vinegar in the noodles tasted a bit like some rice vinegar was added. So it was okay, not something I would order again. It lacked bean sprouts and peanuts for that yummy crunch. Oh, and only one stem Of cilantro and I am a cilantro fan so I wish there was more of that. So, overall it was okay. Not bad, but not great. Lacking bran sprouts, peanuts, more peanut sauce, less rice wine vinegar, and no egg. Not sure if this is because it was a delivery order that these things got missed. I see there are some bean sprouts in my pictures now, I guess with the travel they lost they're crunch! Sorry for the confusion! My friend lives nearby and has gone quite a bit and had been telling me I needed to visit here sometime and so I did. It's a fantastic BYOB right on the water overlooking Manhattan although the windows seem to be a bit higher than usual so I couldn't see the water seated from where I was, but I digress. We started with an order of Vietnamese Spring Rolls, two large fried rolls which were more than enough with an upcoming meal. The eggplant dish sounded different from what I normally see so I went with that and my friend, being gluten free, went with the yellow curry. My friend liked hers and mine was great, I didn't find the sauce to be spicy though. Both were thoroughly enjoyed. As somebody who is both a huge fanatic of Vietnamese and Thai food I was super underwhelmed by the food that was served here. Ranging from the appetizer, to the noodles, and the papaya salad everything tasted a bit bland and like it wasn't very authentic. The pad see ew tasted almost boiled rather than pan fried and the noodles were pretty bland and didn't hold the sauce well. The brocolli pieces served weren't even chopped up with made for an inconvenience when eating a big plate of noodles. Papaya salad with grilled shrimp was really bland -- not spicy at all or that bright acidic flavor you look for in a fresh papaya salad. Okay, so I have passed by SEAK countless times before, and a couple of days ago, out of curiosity, I decided to stop by. It was so good that last week I came back for a second time! The place is huge! Seating inside is pretty nice, but they also have an outdoor space if you want to enjoy a nice view of the Hudson River. With so luck seating, we were able to sit pretty quickly when we arrived. I wish the food was spicier than it actually was; the spice was on the mild side. 5/5 for the service though! Our server, Joann, was very friendly, as well as helpful in answering questions about the menu items and making recommendations. Usually I run into the problem of servers checking with us too often and it disrupts conversation, but this didn't happen with Joann. Was in the area shopping and decided to try this place. They seem to have a little of everything from Thai to Vietnamese. Overall the food was decent and the service was super fast. Bathroom was a little messy, but there is a nice view of the water in the back. Conveniently located across from Sojo (the greatest spa of all time) and Mitsuwa marketplace (Japanese food market) AND positioned right on the waterfront with riverside views of uptown and midtown NYC. Ambiance and location gets a 5/5 off the bat, nothing else to be said. The service here was good - we got a great table outside on the deck with views of the river. The food was high quality. My go to dish is always the pad see ew (flat noodles). As a Thai food lover, pad see ew is my litmus test to determine whether or not I think the restaurant is good. My teen son had their delicious beef fried rice and l had their spicy vegan soup with shiitake mushrooms, jalapeño peppers, bee sprouts with the addition of grilled boneless chicken. I dined indoors and felt very comfortable - the staff followed all covid protocols and we were very spaced out from the other guests.
