I've been coming to Seal Beach Grill (formerly Seaside Grill) since the 90s. Happy that the grill kept most of the staff and that Manny is still behind the grill. Always smiles when I walk in the door. The new owners have really changed the place for the better. Beer and wine selection has greatly improved, thankful there are some good IPAs in tap. Best burger in town! The schooner burger is my go to. Wings are phenomenal, as is the chili size on a rainy day. They have daily specials and if you come on carne asada day, you'd be an idiot to order anything but! They will make you just about anything you can dream up. Pastrami jalapeño fries are to die for, just have enough beer to wash away the heat! There's quite a few regulars and it gets packed on the weekends, so be patient. You'll get a stool to sit on soon enough. The bar tenders are quick to pick up on what you drink and soon enough you won't even have to say anything. read more

Really they kept the old menu, cooks and waitresses/bartenders. Hope the keep 2 bartenders working at busy hours. The grill needed 2 bartenders/servers. They did make some new changes like adding all new grills, Fryer's and an entire new beer taps! Wish they had figured out a way to add air conditioning though. Still gets hot at the bar when they're cooking. Maybe they can't do it with the building owner. Overall glad to have the grill back and can't wait to get all my old favorites again! read more

Went there this afternoon. The waitress/hostess/dishwasher/... was extremely rude. Not only rude, but every other word was FUCK. FUCK THIS, fuck that. That's all she was doing was complaining. How she just started working again. We're almost out of fucking beer... When we first got there, she told us to sit anywhere. So we chose to sit in front of window. She then tells us we can't sit there, due to 6' apart. No where in the place was anyone 6' apart. After getting our food, we noticed a couple just walk in and sit where we sat. Oh but that was ok with her. She tells them they couldn't just walk in and sit, but that's ok. You're fine where you are. Later I asked her "why did you have us move from that spot, yet you let them sit there?" She gave me a lame excuse regarding 6' apart and being crowded. Then shortly after comes back to me with her voice raised at me for everyone to hear. "IM A HOSTESS, WAITRESS, DISHWASHER...I'M SORRY YOURE NOT HAPPY WITH WHERE YOURE SITTING!" (With a total attitude). I looked at her and said " I never said I was mad. I only asked you a question" I'm sorry but this chick needs a major attitude check. I've been coming here since it fell under new ownership and I never have one bad thing to say. Truly one of the only places in SB that you can get a beer and some good food in a laid back atmosphere. My go-to is ALWAYS the schooner burger with homemade potato salad, but wings come in for a close second. Not to mention the service is great! Jackie and Sabrina know you by name and take care of you, which is especially impressive considering they usually only work one at a time! They rock!! My aunt & I dropped in after a long walk in the area. First time customer and we were surprised how good it was. We were seated promptly in the new outdoor seating area. We ordered a Turkey Dip & a Roast Beef sandwich. Both came packed with meat and the rolls were perfect. Soft yet held the sandwich together very well. The Fries and the Potato salad were excellent. This bar is a pretty decent vibe, granted it's mostly old guys here but they're generally harmless. My friend and I ordered 2 pounds of wings and they were pretty good. I was craving wings so I'm biased but I liked that the meat was pretty moist and they were generous with the amount of sizing of wings. We ordered hot and the sauce was Valentino's but it doesn't mean it's bad in any way. I also order some chili cheese fries, which were fairly good. It had flavor here and there but eventually the taste dulled out. Wasn't the worst thing, I simply wasn't able to finish it. Although I wasn't at all disappointed by dining here, the customer service seemed to fall back onto one woman who was very friendly and efficient. She was concise when taking our order and explained to us what would be in our food. Her energy was sparking, and while she was all over the place she managed to take care of each customer/party. She checked in to refill water and ask about the food every now and then and yet managed to give us our space. She knew how and when to serve the customer's needs while respecting their boundaries. Can't say that I remembered her name but her energy radiates and is hard to forget. I'd come back for the wings if I'm craving some again. read more

We got a salad for 10 dollars only Iceburg not nutritional and for 3 dollars I can get a head of lettuce, and a sad amount of wings, 1 pound of wings, 6 wings for 10 plus dollars wow, wings were good but such a rip off. I'm afraid you will eat all my chicken fingers! No really, I drive over an hour to get the chicken fingers, and the batter is INCREDIBLE. The french fries also come in this flaky batter and when dipped in both the ranch and the buffalo sauce is true PERFECTION. I have heard the wings are even better, but I am a bone out kind of girl. The service is wonderful, and the gals are super attentive and friendly. First time there, AMAZING juicy burger and easily up there with the best fries I've ever had! Made to golden perfection, slightly crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside and not saturated with oil! The burger is grilled to juicy perfection and absolutely amazingly delicious!! I I would give them zero stars if I could. I can't believe the way we were treated. We approached this restaurant in the hopes of having a good meal and to begin our weekend getaway to celebrate my 23rd wedding anniversary. There were signs that masks were required but everyone in the restaurant didn't have any on. We were wearing ours but then removed them while we were waiting to be seated. The hostess yells out in front of everyone (it's a small space) to put our masks on. My husband replied by asking if that applied to everyone or just us. We were the only Hispanic or people of color in their establishment. She then said that you have to wear a mask when you walk in but once you're seated you can take them off. ??? Really? Funny because the white lady in front of us was never told to put one on. She then told us that they were at full capacity.. ??We left and used our hard earned money at Kailua Grill where we were given fantastic service and delicious food. I wish I had the opportunity to give a solid review but unfortunately it seems that we didn't make the cut of the kind of people they want to service. read more
