Tech was nice and knowledgeable, however, I paid the $129 diag fee for an estimate, for my insurance. I did not get this and when I contacted the chat customer service, because you cannot talk to a live person, I was told it would be 24 hours for the estimate. Then I received an email stating insufficient tech notes. I have now wasted half my day trying to get an estimate and the chat reps are on repeat telling me to just keep waiting. They may be able to fix it, but my experience so far is that they collect diagnostic fees and do not give estimates for repair. Update: Per the chat center, that keeps sending me the receipt for the diag fee I paid and refuses to send me the estimate for repairs that I can get approved BEFORE the repair is completed. I have tried all numbers, including the one the company replied with, and ALL go to AI that tells me there is no live agent. Chat is telling me that I have to make another appt, have another tech come out to get an estimate. And yes, I will have to pay ANOTHER diag fee. This is fraud and I am reporting this to the BBB and my CC company. read more

Called and they told me they "specialize in speed queens" Made an appointment for 8AM-12PM. Got a text saying the tech was running ahead of schedule, to expect him between 9:45-10:10am. Didn't show. Waited and waited. Got another text from a Jennifer "tech coming 9AM-11AM.." at 12:05pm. (photo) Tech finally showed at 1:43pm. He comes in, "oh.. speed queen.. I've never worked on one before..." couple minuets later he's YouTubing how to fix a speed queen dryer. I ask if he could clean some of the lint out for fire safety purposes while he has it all open. He responds "that'll be an extra $50" ... he ends up telling me the grand total to fix it will be $700. $300 in labor and he had no parts to fix the problem. So I paid the $129 diagnostic fee. Less then 24 hours and the whole fridge is leaking. I'm giving 0 stars. It took months to be able to even get someone here to help. the appointments got rescheduled probably close to 15 times. There is no way to contact sears directly. Only the chat that doesn't let you type. Finally someone shows up. The wrong color was ordered so now I have a fridge that's two colors. They don't take the old door with them so they leave a mess in the kitchen and all the melted items on the counter. The worst part is that less then 24 hours and the whole fridge is leaking. There's no way to contact sears or the person who fixed it. This has been absolutely hell and now we're stuck with a two color leaking fridge. Please someone get back to me to fix this damn fridge or replace it. It has been months of an easy fix that has turned into a nightmare. read more

I was not able to speak to a real person to tell them what was actually happening with our refrigerator. I still haven't gotten any information on how to file a claim to compensate us for the food spoilage like I have said prior husband has kidney failure. He had meals in the freezer. We lost all that plus all the meat, fruits vegetables. They're all a very, very tight Social Security budget. Victor is an outstanding repairman, efficient, prompt, and courteous. Unfortunately the problem with our refrigerator was complex and needed several visits to resolve. I think replacing the unit would have been better and could have saved us inconvenience lasting for weeks, several hundreds of dollars in lost food, and replacing almost every part in the unit. The tech was scheduled between 1-5 but arrived and finished before 1. Because of this, I was not present and the tech insisted on using my husbands phone number to pay for the tech assessment service fee. My husband's phone number is not connected to the account. I had already worked out with the Sears Home Warranty service that we would pay $99. The tech insisted this was wrong and my husband was then charged $120. In addition, the warranty that we have i covers a defective compressor repair FREE OF CHARGE for both the material (the compressor) AND WORKMANSHIP (labor). The tech insisted that warranty covered only the compressor and not the labor after 5 years. Which, as I am looking at the manual and warranty section is NOT TRUE. The 10 year warranty covers both labor and parts. He also did not send any follow up service calls but said he would be returning the following Friday. He also complained about lack of staffing and having to drive from Tulare to Tehachapi. As far as we are concerned, we would prefer he stay in Tulare and another tech would be sent out who can actually reference the actual warranty - not one giving us lip service that ultimately relies on us "taking his word for it." read more

My appointment and tech an arriving was good. I was at work so my wife was at home. My washing machine is making a very loud noise when running any size loads. The tech calls me and says nothing is wrong with it and that I'm running to heavy of loads. I try and show him a video I took and he was not interested. We argued over the phone and he stated he ran a test with towels and they went into the water cycle and were wet and no noise all was fine. I reviewed the camera footage when I got home and he was there for 15 minutes. Ran a diagnosis test. Looked under the machine and raise the legs a bit. That's it. Never ran a load with towels like he said never ran a load with anything. Which explains why he could not tell me how many towels he loaded that he felt was a good load that was not over loaded. My wife ran a load of dish towels and sure enough the noice is still there. This tech is full of crap. I called and made a complaint and have not heard anything. The repairman came to my house and lectured me about not putting towels in with sheets and began to say that it was an electrical problem. Didn't do anything but stand there and gave me a $1200 repair estimate. I told him the washer didn't drain and won't spin because the weight of the water will not allow the washer to spin. He ran a quick cycle & said well it spins. I told him yes it will spin all day with no clothes in the washer. He then told me to grab 6 towels and he ran it through the cycle. Well guess what?? It didn't spin. He left with all the towels soaked in water in the washer and apologized and said I was right... it won't spin. No shit Sherlock.
