My ac unit went out in the middle of summer so we called local ac company which I will not name. They came out and said my compressor went. They quoted me a price of $1,900 for labor and Freon. My ac unit is only 3 yrs old and is still under warranty So I paid them the service charge of $300 and sent him on his way. Got on the phone with Power and Performance Air. Performance sent out Justin and Edgar. They said the previous tech connected the wires to the capacitor backwards. They connected the wires to the correct spot and my compressor kicks. My 25 year-old Maytag clothes dryer started to make a loud sound on start up about a week ago. This was the first problem I've had with it after all of these years, so I definitely wanted to see about fixing it before throwing in the towel and purchasing a new one. I called Power and Performance Air and they said they'd send someone out the next day between 1 and 4 pm. The service man called me the next day at 1:00 pm and said he was about 30 minutes away. He an his partner came in and worked quickly to identify the problem. After explaining it to us and giving an estimate, he left to go get the replacement part. He returned quickly, installed the new part, and we payed exactly what was quoted. This is awful I have not has a working AC in 4 years because my own trusted this company. They hang up the phone in your face when they are questioned and expected to help responsible for the none work brand new AC Unite they installed. The owner of the property can't even get the company owner there work. I posted a review on this company and was old before they completed any work I would need to remove my review. This company lacks basic morals and business ethics. Integrity means a lot in kern county. Attached you will see messages I have received on yelp from random people. How, do they have stars because they force people to chance reviews or they will not obligate there work. Look through the reviews I'm. Not the only person whom has been subjected to such request. Change your honest opinion or we will not fix what we have instead. I literally need to take my owner to court so he will hold this company accountable. I have to inform code enforcement because it's so much water a some awful smell coming through the vents. It's 111 tomorrow on top of a national holiday. Don't be my family or the property owner stuck in a fight with a company that fails to me ethical principles and standards we value in kern county. I will continue to keep this post updated. Our Heater stopped working yesterday 01/26/23!!! I came home to a really COLD house last night. At 8:30pm I got online to my Home Warranty Co and put in a claim! They changed the quote on the day of installation. I called them to get an estimate for a job. To install a range hood over a stove on an island in my kitchen. They gave me a very reasonable price. The gentleman showed up looked at the job and said he needed some help so we rescheduled. On the day they were coming back I get a call saying the job would cost twice as much as I was quoted. I told them to cancel the job I have had this happen before. Where contractors change the estimate at the last second, knowing most folks just want the work done. Now, maybe they weren't trying to swindle me. Maybe they just don't have their act together enough to either give me a good estimate, or to adjust the estimate once they see the job is more difficult than they anticipated. I had a stellar experience with this company. I live out of town and had to arrange for an emergency inspection of my very old father-in-law's refrigerator. I had a copy of a Bakersfield Yellow Pages for such a situation and found this company's ad. I called on a Saturday afternoon of a 3 day holiday weekend. The office manager Rocio Sanchez arranged for one of the repairmen to do the inspection and later rearranged his schedule to accommodate my father-in-law's home care schedule. The technician arrived on time and diagnosed that the problem was a box which had prevented the door from closing a crack overnight. The inspection fee was extremely low and they were running a special to boot. With my being out-of-town and my father-in-law's physical condition, the repairman could have easily socked it to us -- but he was extremely honest and did not. There is one review of this merchant which was extremely negative. I didn't bother to read it closely because in my opinion anyone that writes three pages worth of diatribe has an axe to grind. My experience was so positive that I can't help but think that the person who wrote the bad review contributed to their own negative experience. Called econo air first they cam out and told me I needed a new system. I originally called power & performance air for another estimate on a new system. When they came out they wanted to verify what the other company diagnosed and found it was a very minor problem and fixed it for about 250 saved me thousands on a system replacement I did not need.
