The time frame that I was given for the service repairman to come was between 1-5 pm. I was happy that Corn showed up before 2 pm. My washing machine had problems with the spin cycle. Corn showed me what was wrong and gave me a repair quote as my machine was not under a service contract. It originally would have cost about $550. He gave me my options and explained the Sears Protect Home Warranty Plan which would cost about $57/month and cover up to 12 listed appliances. I chose to sign up for the Plan as my other major appliances are also older models. Today's service repair was discounted to $360 as the warranty plan wouldn't become effective until 02/01/25. although we pay for the master protection monthly.... they can't accommodate us.... we had our dryer down they came the earliest 3 weeks only to tell us plz wait again as they order a oart takes 2 more weeks. I would give 5 stars but it took 3 visits to get our dishwasher repaired with 3 different techs. Personally, I prefer whoever starts the job to finish the job. It's just easier on the communication part and doesn't require me to explain anything to subsequent techs. The reason for the three visits, the first tech didn't order all the required parts, a key part too, one of the hoses for the dishwasher. Our hose was clogged and was preventing the dishwasher from draining. This may have been the main culprit regarding our problem. So, although it took 3 visits, all the techs were very good, professional and personable. read more

Then there's the experience of opening and closing the doors and checking the drawers and shelving in refrigerators. Sounds picky? YELP, is not where I want to communicate with Sears Home Services, but you leave me no choice. I needed my double over repaired, called Sears Home Services, no real person helped me, everything was done by a bot. They scheduled an appointment, Cornelius came and told me the two temperature gages need to be replace. It was going to cost me about $750 to order the parts and schedule the repair. I had to pay that cost right there and then. Two weeks later the repair crew comes, walks in and saids, we will try to fix this, at that time I said, a part has to be replaced, whatʻs the problem. They left saying, they needed a dolly to pull the stove out. They didnʻt fix it, they just left. DIDNʻT THEY KNOW THIS?? Itʻs a double oven, of course one person canʻt carry them both. They left, rescheduled and then cancelled the reschedule. We rescheduled again 2 weeks later. They came back and the incapable repairman saids, I canʻt get the oven out, canʻt fix this, you get your money back except for the initial cost to analyze. REALLY!! Just like that he leaves, after making me scribble on his paperwork that I agreed to this. Trust me, I didnʻt agree to not have my ovenʻs fix. So here I am, dead ovens, no refund and just an email that saids, you declined service. This is so wrong. Right now, I want my money, or I want to know how you return it to me, do you credit the card it came from, or send me a check. I havenʻt seen anything. There is not one place on your website or anything you have that has a number that I can call to speak with someone on this. Every time I call, they want me to schedule a repair. I still need my Sears oven fixed and my money. Such a terrible way to do business. I am feeling like the rest of the people on here, Sears Home Services is a joke. Lani was very professional, efficient, and friendly. She quickly diagnosed the problem and ordered the fan part. She then left for her next appt while the part was delivered about an hour later. Lani returned about 6 hours later to install the part and complete the job. Refrigerator now repaired. Only drawback that this took two service visits a month apart when the starter motor was replaced, then the fan failed. Would have been excellent if the diagnosis was BOTH the starter and fan on her first visit. (Note: this was actually the 3rd service visit on the same problem since the first tech only advised to defrost the refrigerator for 12 hours and then restart.) read more

I thought sears had a policy on pay for repairs only when the issue is resolved. I had a tech service today for the refrigerator leaking cold air through the front access door and building condensation along the doors. The tech put epoxy (silicone) around the edge of the door instead of replacing the gasket and explained to contact the service if the condensation continues to build. He explained that it would take about 2 hours for the epoxy to dry, leaving the edge of the door all sticky. There was no confidence if this would fix the issue but claimed that I will have to pay the service fee, and 'should' be waived for the service fee if the issue continues. The techs uncertainty made me uncertain of the so-called fix nor the policy. read more

Vince from A&E Service was prompt, messaging me that he was on his way. I was thrown for a loop when he said he couldn't make an assessment of the repair if the vibrating noise did not occur during his visit--but as we talked, he was able to deduce that the vibrating noise was caused by the copper wire connecting to the water supply. I asked if --short of replacing the copper wire with rubber tubing (to stop vibrating noise)-- he could tie the copper wire loops closer together so they would not be able to vibrate; he did so using a zip tie. Nothing wrong with my fridge; it is now quiet and peaceful in my home now. Vince was honest, patient and open for discussion about my repair service. THANK YOU! read more

Sadly our dryer was not able to be repaired due to them not making the parts any longer, but our washer maintenance check was good. Kaiku, our repair person was very friendly & professional and clear on any questions I asked. We did buy the warranty plan for our other appliances and had also done so for my mother's appliances in the past. We have always had good service. However, when initially chatting online to make my repair appointment and attempting to purchase the warranty plan online, the form I needed to fill in would not work. When told to use the Google browser since they said it wouldn't work with the Safari browser, the same error occurred. Originally refrigerator was serviced because our icemaker was not producing any ice. The technician replaced a part. He was at our home for 15 minutes tops. He said the ice tray will fill up within 2 to 3 days. A whole day went by and no ice was produced. We then had to call in for another service call. The second technicians name is Junny. Junny was very thorough in servicing our refrigerator. He was very careful and cleaned up after the job was done. He revealed the issues and took care of us. Junny was also very polite and personable. within a few hours or icemaker started dropping ice again. We are very pleased with Junny's service. Mahalo! read more

Should have read these reviews before scheduling a repair for my LG washer. Technician came out on a Friday and did a "diagnostic check" without opening the machine. Was told I needed a heater element ($150), and that it would be 7-10 just to get the part. Told him just to charge me for the diagnostics and I would decide later on the repair (said I had 30 days to make up my mind). Called back the next day to tell them to go ahead with the repair, but got involved in a chat with a person who was insisted on giving me 50% off on the diagnostic check (that had already been done), and then was absolutely fixated on signing me up for a maintenance program. I cancelled the whole thing. Long story short... called an independent repair company, who came out on Monday, and immediately identified the problem as a $22 thermistor (NOT the $150 heating element). Went out and purchased the part and had the washer up and running within 2 hours. I asked him how the diagnostic check could have gotten it so wrong. When he asked me if the technician had even opened the cover on the washer to look at things, I said "No," to which he replied "Would you rather trust diagnostics or experience?" I thought about asking for the diagnostic fee back, but sometimes, it just ain't worth the hassle. A lesson learned...never again, Sears Appliance Repair. Only gave 1 star, because"0" was not an option for this review. read more

We had problems with our refrigerator ever since we purchased it but it was passed the one year lemon law. I rely on Sears appliance repair for sure!! What little I spend per month, I get my money's worth unfortunately at least once a year for repairs on almost the same thing because my refrigerator has the water tubing right next to the compressor that gets hot. So the water tube becomes brittle and breaks. The Sears repairman are absolutely professional. I wouldn't go with anyone else read more
