Originally refrigerator was serviced because our icemaker was not producing any ice. The technician replaced a part. He was at our home for 15 minutes tops. He said the ice tray will fill up within 2 to 3 days. A whole day went by and no ice was produced. We then had to call in for another service call. The second technicians name is Junny. Junny was very thorough in servicing our refrigerator. He was very careful and cleaned up after the job was done. He revealed the issues and took care of us. HORRIFIC. DO NOT SHOP HERE. RUN AWAY---run anywhere else. ANYWHERE. Purchased a $1700 brand new Kenmore 2 in 1 washer. Seriously, it takes almost 7 hours to do a SINGLE load of laundry. Have been bounced between sales & warranty departments & in the month of February alone, have had service techs at the house for 23 HOURS! Btw, since they diagnosed & replaced 2 parts, the FIVE service calls count as ONE incident. I wish it was a bad dream. Here's a Sears delivered option, "after the wash cycle, you could remove half the load of clothes (!!!), and do TWO drying cycles." SERIOUSLY?! We had problems with our refrigerator ever since we purchased it but it was passed the one year lemon law. I rely on Sears appliance repair for sure!! What little I spend per month, I get my money's worth unfortunately at least once a year for repairs on almost the same thing because my refrigerator has the water tubing right next to the compressor that gets hot. We have a Sears Master Agreement which includes a yearly maintenance check on all appliances. We scheduled our fridge for the maintenance check. Mentioned to the tech that the water dispenser was a little slow. He did the maintenance service and also checked why the water pressure on the dispenser was low. He found the feed hose had a crack in it. He repaired it during this visit which so I wouldn't have to schedule a repair order. Very knowledgeable and professional!! They charge you $699 per year and still charge $100 to come out even for maintenance. With my washer they came out four different times, one of those times they were very rude, they didn't know what to do and was going on utube to figure it out and during that same experience ordered the incorrect parts twice. YELP, is not where I want to communicate with Sears Home Services, but you leave me no choice. I needed my double over repaired, called Sears Home Services, no real person helped me, everything was done by a bot. They scheduled an appointment, Cornelius came and told me the two temperature gages need to be replace. It was going to cost me about $750 to order the parts and schedule the repair. I had to pay that cost right there and then. Two weeks later the repair crew comes, walks in and saids, we will try to fix this, at that time I said, a part has to be replaced, whatʻs the problem. They left saying, they needed a dolly to pull the stove out. They didnʻt fix it, they just left. DIDNʻT THEY KNOW THIS?? Itʻs a double oven, of course one person canʻt carry them both. They left, rescheduled and then cancelled the reschedule. We rescheduled again 2 weeks later. They came back and the incapable repairman saids, I canʻt get the oven out, canʻt fix this, you get your money back except for the initial cost to analyze. REALLY!! Just like that he leaves, after making me scribble on his paperwork that I agreed to this. Trust me, I didnʻt agree to not have my ovenʻs fix. So here I am, dead ovens, no refund and just an email that saids, you declined service. This is so wrong. Right now, I want my money, or I want to know how you return it to me, do you credit the card it came from, or send me a check. I havenʻt seen anything. There is not one place on your website or anything you have that has a number that I can call to speak with someone on this. Every time I call, they want me to schedule a repair. I've purchased the home protection svc for our major appliances for many years. Although I had a few major problems getting our appliances repaired, one thing I saved on was a brand new refrig and water heater (a long time ago). Well this time my water heater was leaking so I called Sears since I had the protection agreement. Technician came and said he couldn't repair the water heater that they could only replace it. To make a long story short, it took a month and several attempts to get sears to pay for the replacement which sears said that I was not entitled to!! I finally gave up on sears and called Home Depot. They outsource plumbing service and I was very satisfied. Question now is will I renew my Sear's Home Protection Agreement....$600+/year. The Tech, Taylor, came to the house, replaced the part, but thought the wall outlet was not delivering 220V. The next day, I hired an electrician who came to the house, measured the voltage at the dryer outlet, and it was 220V. The electrician inspected the 3 phase system (breakers, panel, etc) and all was in working order. The dryer still does not work or even turn on. We don't think it's Taylor's fault but believe the dryer is broken and needs replacement or further repairs. DO NOT GET SCAMMED INTO BUYING A SEARS WARRANTY. I've been trying to get my dryer fixed for four months. You get put on hold for hours. Or you get an AI assistant that is useless, or you get stuck on an endless recording of options none of which is helpful. It usually takes 30 minutes to get an actual person. They are all polite but unable to do anything accept pass you to another polite but equally inept person. Their computer supposedly crashes once a week and they can't even access your file and you have to call back and you have to wait another 30 minutes to talk to a person if you are lucky. When repair people finally show up they can't do the work. Two repair guys have shown up and been unable to fix it. The second one ordered a part that came and he said he'll be back in 3 weeks to install it, but Sears cancelled again. We had another Sears Warranty account in. rural area and we cancelled it because they could never get a technician to our address. . THE PROBLEM IS THE BASIC BUSINESS MODEL. Get a bunch of AI bots and people to talk to you politely but don't give them the ability to do anything. TAKE THEIR MONEY AND IGNORE THEM. This is the second time I bought the warranty. My not yet 3-year-old LG Studio Refrigerator, which is 42 inches wide, began leaking the first week of August. Since I paid for a 3-year warranty from Sears, I called Sears Home Repair. So surprised to get an appointment for the following day. Repair guy came out and ordered parts. Then 3 weeks went by. He came back, never pulled the 'frig out of its space, attached a tube with a connection underneath in the front and declared it was fixed. He said the supply line needed to be replaced because it was wet and leaking, and he would not do that. So I called somebody else to replace the supply line, and it turned out the supply line was not leaking at all. I called Sears Home Repair again and asked for another appointment since it was not repaired correctly and it is still leaking. They were now 6 weeks out. I told them I am 70-years-old, basically live alone, it is still leaking in the kitchen, and I have to contribute to global warming by buying water in plastic bottles which I need to consume 64 ounces every single day. Our tap water is awful. I was not a new customer, I am an unresolved customer. I begged for consideration. A plumber friend came by today. Apparently the wheels of the LG Studio Refrigerator have now sunk into the vinyl plank under it. So he jacked it up, put runners under the wheels and managed to roll it out. To be safe, he installed plywood under the refrigerator, but it soaked a Safeway paper grocery bag in 10 minutes, and the water is turned off. He also said he doubts it can be repaired and might have to be replaced. I contacted directly the Sears repair guy who was here last month and begged him to try to fit me into his schedule. Because at this point, I don't care how it gets fixed or resolved as long as my kitchen doesn't flood or the refrigerator completely breaks down. He said he has been waiting a week for the escalation team to get back to him and cannot schedule his own appointments. I can call Sears until I'm blue in the face and all I get are guys in India. No matter what happens, this will most likely cost me a lot of money. The 42-inch refrigerators are now selling for $9,000 to $10,000. I bought my LG at a discount for about $6,000. Something tells me they won't automatically replace my refrigerator with a new model. There are no Sears stores in Hawaii anymore so we are probably just not a priority to Sears. They thus dismissed my reported problem! Well, this evening, the same plumbing problem arose for my family and I Be aware that Sears has very poor and unqualified technicians where they truly just don't know what to do.
