Technician did a great job. Was professional and courteous, and cleaned up thoroughly. The only problem has definitely how hard it is to get past the automated computer help to a real person. I definitely have found the computer interface fast and easy to schedule basic stuff, but if you have an issue outside the small answer tree you may be lost forever...... or close to it. I don't want to deduct stars from the tech for the limited options in the phone and online help functions. I did finally get a human, but after some googling and work arounds. read more

Technician left after changing a part deemed defective. however he didn't stay to test if the machine was working with a real cycle with clothes in it. when I run a cycle shortly after he left the machine showed me it still did not work and returned the same error code. so when do you consider that work has been completed other than when you have proved that running a cycle? technician should budget the time to do exactly so before leaving the site. read more

He appeared to be very knowledgeable about the appliance, diagnosed the problem quickly, and had the replacements parts with him. I was very impressed that someone texted me a couple of days before the appointment to request the model number and details about the malfunction; they said they would use that information to start diagnosing the issue and make sure the tech brought the appropriate parts with him. We had a technician who didn't know what he was doing, couldn't even tell us what was wrong with our broken AC on his first visit. Second visit, drove away without knocking on our door, just took a photo of our house (we were watching out the window waiting for the tech as we hadn't had AC for 5 days in 90 degree heat). One of us literally went up to the car, knocked on his window and recognized him as the very weird technician that had been sent that first time. This technician is named Hai T. Hai looked them in the eyes, shook his head, and DROVE AWAY. DROVE AWAY NEVER SERVICING US. We reported this to Sears. Sears then had the audacity to send this man to us AGAIN. We also didn't ask for this, we already went to a different HVAC service. This time around, we opened the door and he angrily rambled about how he was allowed to call and leave, obviously knowing we reported his fraudulent behavior. He then went "Anyways, I'm just going to come in and fix.." but told him "We don't need your services anymore" and he then used PROFANITIES at us. We closed the door. Felt scared and unsafe after this interaction, mind you this is happening after their listed working hours as well. So many things in this story not included in this review that were wrong with this company, but Hai T and his behavior takes the cake. This man should be fired but I doubt that will happen. I would appreciate if this technician would never be sent to my house again. The experience was horrible and the worst I've ever dealt with. He came 3 times. The first time he ordered the wrong part, which was not discovered until his next visit a week later. When he arrived for the 2nd visit he argued with me because I called Sears to inform them that my parts arrived and the rep created a new service appointment. He scolded me and told me I shouldn't have called. If I didn't call I would've waited even longer to fund out he ordered the wrong part. Finally, the 3rd appointment was rescheduled for a later date which was frustrating enough because it's going on 2 weeks with the appliance not working. I installed one of the parts myself instead of waiting for the technician because I wanted to ensure this would resolve the issue. The technician arrives and again argues with me that I shouldn't have installed the part and without knowing my background or skill level, tells me I would blow the house up and now my warranty is voided. He tells me he has been working with Sears for over 20 years and Sears are liars. Overall I would please prefer this person is never dispatched to my house and I am really considering canceling the service.​ read more

The A&E Appliance Repair person sent by "Sears" was courteous and professional. However, I had tried for 5 days to talk to a human to find out what was to be accomplished by this visit. I could not talk to a human. No matter what number I found and tried to call, I was always greeted with an automated system which always confirmed my appointment and sent me a new confirmation text with a link to a page with the service call details. But I could not speak to a human. I am no longer a fan of Sears Repair Service. The technicians are great but the automated process by which the service calls are established and managed really SUCKS! read more

On a follow up service call to repair my ice maker, the technician would not stay to complete the repair even though he had been to my home already and had parts that were delivered to my home ready to complete it he repair. He was afraid of my 14 year old cavalier King Charles spaniel and my 7lb jack russell terrier. My wife attempted to put our dogs in the office so he would not have them around, but got frightened by our cat as well. The technician had no patience and was afraid of our pets. To add insult to injury, he marked that the repair was resolved and I have to have my home warranty company reissue a work order to "complete" the repair. I hope I don't incur another $65 fee because a technician is afraid of our old dog. read more

After several attempts, he told us it was "unrepairable" but has not put this in his report-either because he doesn't know or because this whole service agreement is a scam. He now resorts to either cancelling on the same day or today (1/15/24) he closed the ticket but never actually came to the house. I know because my husband and I waited in the driveway for him. last week we have a doorbell camera video of him stopping in front of the house and leaving when my husband opened the door. he will not come to the house because he already knows it can't be repaired but Sears keeps scheduling him. The serviceman arrived, said he couldn't find the serial number I provide on his computer, and came to the conclusion he couldn't fix the problem because he didn't know what parts would be required. We had worst Sears Appliance repair experience both on May 14th and 20th, 2024. On May 14th, the tech arrived at our place, he knocked or probably called once, took a picture of his bag which was placed in front of our front door, uploaded to Sears website and left. He was not picking up non of our subsequent several calls or texts afterwards. On May 20th, the Sears web page indicates the tech will be expected to arrive @ 8:50 AM even though our scheduled time was between 12:00-04:00 PM. Diagnosed the problem in 5 minutes for $99 Dollars and Quoted $440 to furnish and install a part that costs $110 and takes 15 minutes to install. When I asked why the Labor was $330 for 15 mins he said, that's what we charge..... I ordered the part myself and will install it. The technician that came out today was good. He arrived in time, introduced himself and went straight to work. The problem I have is that after two technicians and the ordering of parts, my dishwasher is still not working. According to the first technician, a new computer board is needed for the dishwasher to work. The second technician came out, installed the computer board, but, stated that a GE tech will need to come out and configure the board for it to work. I made my service request over a month ago and now have to wait for a third tech to come out. This is totally unacceptable and not why I maintain a services agreement. read more

My Home Warranty company chose Sears to service my clothes dryer. They came 4 times in 17 days and neither of the techs could fix the dryer. It was only 6 years old so it should have been fixable. When a tech would come, they would ask us what the problem was. We asked them to refer to their notes from the last tech and each told us they didn't have access to the previous tech's repair notes. The techs weren't friendly (which is fine) but they all were adamant when they left that it was fixed. It always stopped again after 1 cycle. I will never use them again. We have been struggling with Sears and the Sears Appliance Company, since August 2023 and still we are dealing with the same issue. It appears that no one can figure out and fix the problem. They have sent 3 different repair guys and none of them are fixing the issue. We have lost high amounts of food because the fridge will defrost in the middle of the night, leaving our kitchen floor flooded. No one should be treated this way. In addition, the handmen we have encountered has no personality. I don't think we are asking for too much!!! We deserve a functioning refrigerator!!! read more
