I tried Seasons for the first time last night and was not overly impressed. The food, for the most part, was good, but I wasn't crazy about the service or atmosphere. I couldn't help but compare it to it's more upscale neighbor, since that's usually where I go when I'm in the mood for a nice dinner, so maybe that's a little unfair of me. Still...the waitress seemed overwhelmed and therefor inattentive, and I was put off by the clamor and bright lighting in the bar. And it was WAY cold in there, too! As for the food... Started with the tuna tartare app. Fine, but pretty bland. The "bread" was little sticks reminiscent of Olive Garden and on the dry/flavorless side. Not a great start, especially with the wait on service. I also had a cup of the butternut squash soup, mainly because I was SO COLD. Another case of blandness, and the mushrooms on top were very dry. Happily, things improved with the entree. I had the Bronzino, which is described as a whole fish, but isn't. I wish they served it like Bari, head and bones included, but it was still a decent version. The vegetable accompaniment was unremarkable, but I tried my date's roasted vegetables (he had the salmon) and they were yummy. I love roasted beets, and I think the golden beets on his plate were my favorite part of the meal! I opted for the scallop add-on and they were delicious. Perfectly cooked and nicely sized. However, they didn't come out till I was halfway through my fish. The waitress offered a complimentary dessert to make up for it, and I went with the key lime shot. It was fine, but a little too sweet for my tastes. Overall, might be back to give it another try. I might like it better now that I know what to expect. read more

For an upscale healthy chain, it's the best I've had. The tuna tartare, figs, shishito peppers, flatbreads, and trout are top notch. The service is mixed. I went twice in a week, and had 2 different experiences. First was perfect. Water was topped off in a timely manner, foods arrived quickly enough, service was friendly but felt a little too polished. Not a bad thing, just gave me a feeling of corporate standards being pushed hard. The second time was a little more average. No waters dropped off until after the drinks arrived. Service wasn't as polished. Great corporate lunch spot. Not a great dinner spot. read more

My Wife and I had Thanksgiving dinner at Seasons52. The food was delicious. We had the traditional Thanksgiving menu offered. Everything was cooked perfectly and the portions very generous. Can't believe this is a chain. I've always thought Houston's was the best chain...even P.F. Chang's but this one stands head and shoulders above them all. Ambience, service, quality and creativeness of the food...all as if you're in a boutique chef owned restaurant. It's large so it gets a little noisy but we've sat at the bar every time and that just comes with it. There's a piano in the bar which is fine. But the second time we went the pianist also sang and he was really bad. We just had to endure it. I have a strong opinion about. It should be acoustic not electronic. However, that won't keep us away. We just won't sit in the bar next time if the singer is bad. Looking forward to our dinner at The Chef's Table the eve of our wedding. read more

Really enjoyed ourselves yesterday. Food and our server Dori were excellent. I reserved a booth for two online. My friend and I met up for lunch. We had a lot of catching up to do so we were here for a couple hours. Time flies when you are having fun. I picked a place we both have never been. Very happy with my choice. This is my wife and mine's anniversary place. This is one of our favorite places to eat. The service is always top notch, wine selection is excellent and the food is some of the best In the Memphis area. I'm a huge fan of steak, with ribeye being my steak of choice, but I have to say that the filet here is one of the best steaks I've eaten, and I've tried steaks all over the world. I took my wife and baby out to Seasons 52 for lunch on a rainy Sunday. The server was friendly but slow checking in on us. It seemed like there could have been a little quicker turn-around with the check and running the card- I'm just being picky. I had the half chicken and I expected it to be a lot bigger than it was. I really would have rather had Gus's Fried Chicken. It tasted like it had been boiled.. ? My wife had a crispy duck sandwich which was more like a quesadilla; it wasn't terrible but wasn't anything special. Chilli's does a better job. Presentation was good though. This place is trying to be like Houston's, but it isn't there. Houston's would have been packed and there would have been a wait, but Season's 52 only had about 5 tables eating and it was lunch hour. Hello. My wife and I dined at your Memphis location tonight. We shared the duck wings and stuffed mushrooms appetizer and we had the spinach and pear salad and the warm mushroom and arugula salad. Dinner was delicious but unfortunately after getting home my wife became violently ill. I'm writing to let you know what happened without blasting it all over social media, just so you know and could perhaps take a look at your produce to make sure this does not happen to someone else. Made reservations a week in advance for Thanksgiving dinner and arrived at the appointed time (2.30). The place was a madhouse and we were initially informed that they were running "about 30 minutes" behind, so we stood with the throngs of other hungry patrons outside as it was standing room only in the entrance (fortunately a beautiful day). Two more inquiries and another 20 minutes later, we were finally seated. The young lady serving us was initially attentive, but it quickly spiraled downhill once we placed our orders (3 turkey dinners and 1 plank salmon, no appetizers). We were repeatedly told our food "was on its way" and, about 35 minutes later, two servers showed up with 4 turkey dinners. We made the fatal mistake of not accepting the 4th turkey plate in lieu of the salmon as, after clarifying the order, it took another 20 minutes to deliver the salmon which was undercooked and bland (the order had obviously never been placed). Also, there were approximately twenty minute gaps in getting consecutive glasses of wine, and being within arm's reach of the bar, I would've procured them directly had I known. The turkey dinners were good but not exceptional. The order error for the salmon was apparently disclosed to one of the managers who came by and apologized profusely, and who graciously offered to comp our entire meal. We could have sympathized with his predicament if it was the result of insufficient staff (servers or kitchen) or food, but he stated they were at full complement. It was obvious that 1) they had seriously overbooked for the occasion and 2) the servers are not trained sufficiently. We accepted the offer and left a nominal tip so the server would have something to spend on Black Friday.... We have dined for both business and pleasure for several years at Seasons 52 and the service and food have typically been top notch. We hope this was an anomaly given the circumstances and that they will be more realistic in matching resources to demand going forward. We appreciate management doing the right thing to protect loyal customers. read more

I had a wonderful experience here. My boyfriend and I had dinner here on Valentine's Day and loved it. We shared their steak and blue cheese flatbread as an appetizer and it was plenty for two people. He had an entree chicken salad (they have smaller salads listed as starters but larger selections for entrees) and I had the pork roast. It doesn't feel like a chain at all as everything we ate was fresh and well prepared. They have a huge wine list and I do agree with other reviewers that most choices are in a higher price range, but well worth it. The only dessert options are the little shooters but they perfectly compliment any meal without leaving you feeling stuffed. I will absolutely return again and am excited to have this and Capital Grille in the Memphis area. read more

For my first time at Seasons 52, I took a friend there for some drinks. We arrived during happy hour, and the deals are generous. The drinks were about $8 with their normal price lingering a bit above $10. Seasons also has a nice menu with various bar snacks and meals included during HH. The times are very generous and it is hard to miss with not too much competition for seats. I tried the cranberry sage cocktail before moving to the margarita. The cranberry sage was quick good, but the margarita was sub par. It was nice to have a selection of seasonal cocktails on the menu, and I would return for the delicious flatbreads I saw other guests ordering. The atmosphere is dim lightening, and it is an excellent date spot or business lunch. There is a free valet only asking for a tip, but if you'd prefer to park your own car, the lot is a quick walk and convenient location. I enjoyed my time, and I ended up returning two days later. It was another pleasant experience. read more

So this girl isn't much of a fan of franchise restaurants but Seasons 52 is my exception. This was my go-to restaurant before movies while living in Tampa. I was super disappointed when I moved here and there wasn't one- don't worry, all the amazing Memphis local places made me quickly forget. But then I got the email that they were coming- my old friend was here and I went the 1st month with a group and the next alone and the next month with a friend after a movie. And it was great and consistent as ever but then I went back to going down my list of Memphis restaurants. Last week, I was training in east Memphis and decided that Seasons 52 would be a great destination for my colleague/ friend's birthday AND it was. Seasons 52 made her birthday the most delightful evening-service, food, and ambience. We had the mushrooms for our appetizer- they are a great starter. We added the kabacha squash ravioli- it's okay to try just once. She tried the pumpkin pisco sour- yuck so switched to the pomegranate martini :). For dinner she had the salmon and I had the pork tenderloin--both perfectly prepared. For dessert they brought out the birthday shot glass dessert tower----she got the pumpkin mini and chocolate peanut butter delight for me. Seasons 52 is the perfect experience for a girls night, date night, business lunch, or dining alone. If you live here try it ----if you don't please try a local Memphis establishment instead. read more

I decided to take my Valentine to Seasons 52 because she wanted to try this place. My cocktail of choice, the New Old Fashioned, was excellent. Expectations met. She chose the pear Riesling. Expectations again met. For an appetizer, I chose the Tuna Tartare, she chose the Lump crab, shrimp, and spinach stuffed mushrooms. Expectations exceeded. For an entrée, I had the rack of lamb, and she chose the pasta. The entrées fell short of our expectations. For this reason, I can only give this place 3 stars. I'm willing to try a different dish, however if it does not meet my expectations, I will not return. Also, I'm not quite sure if the price paid was equivalent to the quality of the food. read more

Had lunch Saturday, 20 July, 1200. in Memphis, at the Poplar location. Jarad our server and needs LOTS more training. Service was AWFUL! Needs to learn how to be a waiter, how to pour a beer, and how to listen to the customers when ordering. WELL BELOW SEASON 52's standards. Take the rolled Lasagna off the menu, it was terrible! We had a long week at a conference recently and this restaurant was located near our hotel. We stopped in for a late dinner with our kids and a few other guests on a Friday night. The host and wait staff welcomed us and our little ones (4 and 7) with warmth at such a late hour. The food was hot, tasty, and completely satisfying - yet not too heavy for such a late meal. My wife is a vegan, and our server Amber made some fantastic recommendations to accommodate her dietary choices, without just offering a salad or pasta and sauce. She was awesome! I am not a vegan, and my meal was just the right amount of flavor and my chicken was cooked perfectly. Next time we are back in the area, we will make it a point to come back. read more

We ordered 3 course dinner , Bistro steak and grilled scallops. strawberry spinch salad was good, but the beef was so tough (i ordered medium rare). The color looked right but maybe it was the cut of beef, i had hard time chewing it. Can't even finish the dinner. I was in Memphis for a business trip and we were taken to seasons 52 for dinner. We had a party of 7 and a reservation which I highly recommend! We were late joining the party; however our server was right there getting our drink orders and explaining the menu and it's features. I had a great glass of Pinot Noir paired with the Cedar Planked Salmon which was to die for!!!!! The salmon literally melted in your mouth like butter! Our server seemed to disappear once our dinner was dropped off and we weren't offered a refill on our drinks during dinner. The food was amazing as was the desserts! We stopped in to Seasons52 for a late lunch/early dinner around 3:15 pm. We did not have a reservation, the place was empty. We were told to sit down and it would be 5-10 minutes. not a long wait, but made no sense with the lack of diners. The food was ok, hummus was good, bread with it excellent..The beet salad was so-so. We ordered the lobster flatbread and the short rib flatbread. The serving size was generous but both were very average. Nothing special. read more

This is the third time I have been to seasons 52 but the first time I have written a review. We have had good experiences all three times. The service has been very attentive. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and drink selections. I tried several items on the menu. The scallops we're probably my favorite. They were perfectly done. I did try the duck wing lollipops. I thought they were quite good but very spicy. The seafood paella was also good, full of Seabass and lobster tail. I was also lucky enough to try several desserts. My favorite was the pecan pie with vanilla bean mousse. I look forward to returning! read more

Arrived at 5:30 and took a booth in the bar. Amber was quick to take our drink and appetizer order and we opted for the flight of red wines and the flatbread. The medium flight has had a change of wines and the blend that they have added in is really mellow. Loved it. We had one steAk and one chicken flatbread as part of the early bird special for $15 ( wine and flatbread). Then we ordered the lamb.
