Food is a 5. Service is a 1. Sitting at the bar on an average night--how many times should one have to ask for a glass of water? Wine? After asking for a glass of water 3 separate times, it was finally delivered to the person next to me. He politely realized it and said I think this is yours. Trying to get a second glass of wine was equally as difficult. It took only 2 times to get a second glass of wine. The food runners in the bar seemed confused since the wrong seat numbers were put in for the food. On more than one occasion, the runners were seen going from guest to guest asking if they ordered the food item in their hand. As for the food, the sea bass was excellent. If I could figure out a way to improve the service, I would eat here again just for the food. Until then, I'll go to a cheaper restaurant if I want bad service. read more

I had the caprese warm winter salad as my entree. it wasn't like a regular salad but it was perfect for my small appetite tonight and didn't feel guilty about having dessert later! The first thing I will say is that I have never and will never eat at this restaurant. I have spent a lot of time at the Crescent Center for other purposes and I have witnessed the valet service for this restaurant driving extremely dangerously through the parking garage. I called and spoke with management and the only explainantion I received is that the valet is contracted and therefore not their responsibility. I have called them about this three times hoping I would get a different response, but I never did and the valet continue to drive your vehicles as if they were in an off road race trying to get as much air as possible over the speed bumps. I have a lot of experience with cars as I was raised by a part time race car driver and would rebuild his off road car after every race. I KNOW that they are damaging the suspension of a lot of vehicles that they park and the management could care less. Good luck to anyone that allows the valet to continue to damage your cars. read more

Yeah, not my favorite. We ate here on the Wed night of the Fedex Golf Tournament, and it was pure chaos. The parking circle in front of the restaurant is poorly designed and tiny...as a result, there was a major backup of parked cars waiting to be picked up or waiting to be parked...we ended up parking in the garage ourselves. It was packed inside as well...we sat for 40 minutes and only had a drink for our troubles...we did not get our appetizers until we asked and did not have a chance to put in our dinner orders. The food was marginally better. The shrimp cocktail included 5 truly colossal shrimp...however, I was somewhat put off by the soft texture and semi-transparent appearance...were they sous vided? The flavor was quite nice, however, with a nice zippy cocktail sauce. A prosciutto, asparagus, and camembert flat bread was also quite nice...it managed to pull off tasting fresh, light, yet rich at the same time. The tandoori chicken skewers were tender and moist, but the chicken was very under-seasoned. It tasted, dare I say, healthy. Well, the restaurant claims that each of its dishes are less than 475 calories...from the taste of it, I have too say it was true. I got a special of roasted wild Copper River king salmon...this was to be served with a sweet corn risotto and sugar snap peas/cherry tomatoes. One of my favorite things that I look forward to every year is the limited run of Copper River salmon...when cooked right, there is nothing so rich and satisfying. Well, sadly, this dish was not rich or satisfying. The salmon was overcooked and dry (an absolute crime)...the risotto was not a creamy, buttery dish at all but rather dried out lumps of mushy rice. The sugar snap peas were simply steamed and were not even seasoned. As I said, it all tasted...healthy. Now, I don't have any problems with their trying to serve healthy choices...but if I am going out and paying these prices, I would like them to at least taste good. Truthfully, the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quantity of food. The setting is quite elegant, and I am sure the service would be better if they weren't so crazy busy. It just seems to me to be an impossible task to serve a reasonable-sized dish at less than 475 calories without compromising taste. read more

The atmosphere was nice and our server was wonderful. However the food was bland. I had the meatloaf with broccolini. I very seldom add salt and pepper to food when I go out but I had to because there was no taste. My friends also said the food was very bland. Maybe we caught them on a bad night. The concept is good the execution needs to be fine tuned. The valet situation was chaotic there were 8 cars idling with keys in ignition and not an attendant in sight. If I had that gorgeous Mercedes id be concerned. Half of our party jumped out to get the reservation only to find the hostess stand also backed up. We were seated on time however and the hostess was friendly and apologetic. Inside the atmosphere is modern and lively with a talented piano player in the bar. The crowd is upscale and corporate and the menu features all dishes under 475 calories. However the menu was not explained the specials were not highlighted we waited 20 min for our champagne sans ice bucket and then the order was taken. You could tell our server was spread thin she knew the menu just did not have time to chat. Once our server got drinks and food going the night turned out great. Our appetizers did arrive hot and they were delicious. We had the shrimp cocktail with the freshest and largest shrimp I've ever seen and a tasty horseradish cocktail sauce. The asparagus prosciutto flatbread with Camembert cheese was served on a hot plank and was oozing cheese with the nice crisp crust and fresh salt of the ham with fresh veg was very yummy. The tandoori chicken skewers were seasoned nicely but were dry and the sauce was bland. My entree was the Maui tuna tartare salad it was plated creatively with a cylinder canister to hold the greens and nicely displayed seared tuna w pineapple on the side. Dish was lightly dressed with a very fresh summery taste. Dessert was a showstopper tiered tray of mini indulgences with a candle on top. Our server really was having fun at our table by this point and as the birthday girl she made me feel special. My mini was called a mocha mousse and it was the perfect bite of rich smooth sweet indulgence it did live up to its name! I want to come back to self park and try different dishes. read more

My husband and I went there tonight for my birthday. We had amazing fresh seasonal food and great service. We received complimentary champagne, birthday card, single red rose and gift certificate to come back. We made reservations and we did let them know it was a special occasion. THIS REVIEW IS ONLY IN REGARDS TO RESERVATIONS AND SERVICE. So we decided to check out this restaurant and the atmosphere itself is nice. I wouldn't say it's "upscale" compared to places I've been that are actually upscale. The issue we had is with reservations. I particularly don't care for the reservation system. We didn't know reservations were required when we went there. The hostess informed us no seating was immediately available due to reservations but she informed us about the open bar section where reservations were not required. So we look in the open bar to see not only was it full but there were tables with reservation signs on them. They told us they have a 15 minute window for reservations before the table is freed up. The hostess told us if we saw a table in the open bar section to "hurry up and grab it". That makes no sense and is very unorganized! Everyone that comes there is not coming on reservations. There were people in front of us who were standing in the walk way in front of the open bar section waiting to find a table also. The hostes then tells us we could sit down and wait for seats. Ok, if we sit down, you can even see if anyone is leaving the open bar area. So basically you have to just stand there in the entryway and crowd the door as more people come in waiting to find a seat. Mind you we had a toddler with us as well. That system definitely needs to revamped in regards to open seating as it's not organized. There should be a designated host/hostess who takes names for people who's only choice is to sit in the open bar section as well as those who desire to sit there.. At least that way, you can sit down and wait for your name to be called vs. standing around with everyone waiting for people to get up. After standing around for almost 20 minutes, we were offered to come back at 9p.m. which was two hours later......right! We just went somewhere else. I'm a bit surprised you have to go through a hassle to eat at a chain restaurant. For a restaurant such as this, it shouldn't be the guests responsibility to stand around to hustle for seating. So bummed and disappointed! It was our Anniversary and decided to sit at the bar. The serviced started out great. But after our drinks and appetizers were served the bartender never came back over. We waited an hour and finally called him over, which was hard to do. He spent the whole time on the other side of the bar. The bar was not busy, 6 people total. I told him we wanted to order dinner but since he never came back we were leaving. He looked at us, said ok, and brought the check. No apology was given! My husband and I moved here recently from Chicago and would go to Season's 52 often. I was very excited when I saw they were opening one here. We had reservations there last evening for 7:15. It was myself, my husband and another couple. There were 4 people at the hostess area when we walked in. We were seated within a few minutes. Our waiter came over and introduced himself as Andrew. This is where things went downhill. He didn't seem to know which wine's were served with the flights. Didn't know what type of tequila the bar stocked. He kept looking through something that he was carrying, but wasn't finding the info. He seemed very flustered. Our friend asked if he was new and he assured us that he wasn't. Had he been new that would have explained the total lack of service and we would have been much more forgiving. We ordered drinks...2 glasses of wine, a flight and a diet coke for me. When he brought the flight there was no explanation as to what they were. He then poured a glass of white...ok, here I'm being a little picky...but when he did he poured more than 1/2 of the wine in and then asked my girlfriend if it was ok? When he poured my husband's he did more the traditional "sample" before pouring. He needed to go back and get my diet coke. Before he did, he asked..."will there be 3 waters?" OK, there are four of us sitting here. Our dinner didn't come out until just at 9:00 PM. We didn't take our time when ordering either. We had an appetizer which came out right away. They brought my husband's salad very quickly as well. Andrew did disappear for quite a little bit while we were waiting. We had to flag him down through another waiter. When we asked what was taking so long he said they were waiting for the vegetarian dish. Strange...it was mainly a cold dish so I'm not sure what the hang up was. Just after our dinner came out, the manager came over and said he was sorry for the delay. I think he apologized like 3 times and then walked away. The food was just ok. They comped us dessert...big deal. I would have much rather had a great meal and an enjoyable evening. Bottom line...this Season's 52 was a HUGE disappointment. Our waiter Andrew needs a lot of training if he continues to be a server and the manager would benefit from a few courses in customer service. It's pretty safe to say that our experience would have been much different had we had a better waiter. read more

I have been dining at this location for lunch and dinner frequently since it opened. I have always found the service to be quite good - until today. They grossly overbooked for the Mother's Day brunch and cheerfully told me when I arrived (early) that despite having a reservation, I was going to wait a long time to be seated. They were true to their word. Look, I get that you can't control how long people sit after finishing their meals and it impacts seating logistics but this was absurd. Other restaurants of comparable or better quality in town (Ruth's Chris, Capital Grille, Folks Folly, etc.) seem to make it work. Suggest you avoid Season's 52 and try them, I will. read more

Our group of 6 people made a reservation for this past Friday for 7:30 p.m. When we arrived at 7:30p.m. we were told our table wasn't ready. Shortly after 8:00 p.m. a manager (Mark) told us that a couple sat themselves at our table so it was not going to be available. To provide full disclosure - He gave us a $150 gift certificate for Capital Grille and somewhat apologized. Obviously the couple being happy was more important than our group who had a reservation. The service was great, the food...ehhhhhh :-/ I had the rainbow trout and it left much to be desired. It wasn't seasoned how I would have liked it to be seasoned and the potatoes tasted odd. I don't know what they did to them, but they were not good. The carrots were shriveled up and funny looking as well. The key lime pie dessert sampler....was YUMMY! Have been here for lunch several times. Although very busy at lunch time, the service was attentive and our food was delivered in a timely fashion. Last evening I took my friend and her 95 year old mother out to eat at Season's 52 to celebrate the mother's birthday. It was such an over the top experience for all three of us. Josh,our accomplished waiter, assured everything went smoothly. I must add here that the teamwork of the staff was amazing. There was a large party in the same room and everyone pitched in to make sure they were taken care of and yet the rest of us in the area were still taken care of----a plus 10!!!!
