Great dinner. Everything was so tasty. We were celebrating our anniversary (32 years). Appetizer of prochuto wrapped figs with gorgonzola, soft, warm and deep in flavor. Salad was heirloom tomatoes and fresh soft cheese with 15 year old balsamic. A perfect pairing of flavors. My wife had the braised short ribs. Better than anything you're grandma has ever made. I had the filet with mushrooms and reduction. Perfectly cooked. We did have an issue but Dan the manager made it right. Wonderful evening. Looking forward to the next 32 years. We planned to go somewhere else, but instead stopped at Seasons 52 Fresh Grill. I'm so glad we did. Everything had such great taste. Our salads were wonderful, as well as our soup. We had the mushroom porcini bisque, a Caesar salad and a Greek salad. All splendid. For dinner, we had the trout, the lobster pappardelle and the braised short ribs. It was all excellent. The tastes were all absolutely perfect. Everything was cooked just right. A very enjoyable meal! read more

I'm embarrassed to say that we defaulted to Seasons 52 because there was a wait at the Cheesecake Factory (as usual on the weekend). But I'm happy we dropped in. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with pleasantries and seated immediately. Our server was friendly & honest about the menu (in particular regarding her opinion about the tamale tots). I ordered the caramelized grilled sea scallops w/butternut squash and leek risotto & broccolini w/lemon butter. And it was VERY good (but it wasn't as hot as I like my food...as if it sat in the window too long). The tamale tots weren't bad but they were "different" (probably wouldn't order them again) My husband ordered the signature burger without the mushroom duxelle and potato wedges. He said it wasn't bad but he had more bun than burger (he actually ate it without the top bun). Good (as in average) lunch experience! read more

Tried curbside pickup - ordered online. Horrible experience. Food was not ready on time - had to wait 20 minutes. There were no other cars picking up the entire time & this was prime time Saturday evening!!. Should have told us something right there. Finally got our order. Food was NOT HOT. Had to reheat the flatbread ( used their instructions ) but it was dry & tasteless. Avocado toast was extremely burned. Salad entree was awful. Almost all the food went down the garbage disposal. They are pretty consistent however need better bar rules. I went to the bar this evening for cocktails. A gentleman at the bar was saving 6 chairs for some friends that were going to join him. One of my favs in Sarasota. Food is very good. Service always great. Sat in bar for first time and enjoyed happy hour and flatbreads. Very friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. Great value for what you pay. Love to come here for a relaxing meal! read more

I had a burger from there today. I can say that I was less than impressed with the quality of the meat, bun, and the ingredients on it. Lets start with the presentation: 1) The entire meal came on a cutting board. Ummm, no. Thats pretty tacky, I would like a plate. Not a piece of kitchen equipment that is hardly big enough to hold the slightly over-sized slider I was presented with. A glass mini-mason jar with contents I could not identify (I will get back to that in a few minutes). Three lonely little pickles were slapped on this display as well. Sweet pickles (who does that, sweet pickles on a burger??) To each their own I guess 2) The burger: The meat was DRY!!!!! So dry. It tasted like there was an improper ratio of bread crumbs to meat and no binder. The meat would fall apart by the crumbles. The bun had more moisture than the meat! What came on the burger, next to nothing. NO CHEESE??!? Ok.... A single piece of lettuce and two crushed heirloom tomatoes that were grilled. When a tomato is grilled the flavor changes, and it is not palatable on a burger. Not a good choice. 3) Service was okay. The servers were very friendly, but I would like more than a glass of water, or maybe even a refill on the water for the two hours that I was there. 4) Lets get back to the mini-mason jar. I have no clue what was in it. It was a little larger than a shot glass. I found a speck of bacon that I picked out and ate. So in all my entire meal consisted of 1 SINGLE bite of this burger, a single glass of water, and a speck of bacon. First time experience, and last. read more

Very impressed on my first visit for lunch. The menu is full of unique seasonal items and is quite creative. There were so many great choices it took a while to choose which makes for a great restaurant experience. We had steak & mushroom flatbread ($9.75), tuna tartare (12.75 ) and watercress salad (6.95). All three were great and I'd order 'em again. Drinks were sparkling raspberry lemonade (2.95 and as good as it sounds) and Henry's shiraz (9.50, pricey but worth it). Whole tab including a 20%+ tip for our terrific server Rachel was $55. Clean, nicely decorated (including restrooms). Was sorry to read about the bad experiences in other reviews as we sat down, but our experience left us with nothing to complain about. Given the pricing I think I'd say this is a $$$ place. First and foremost, we much appreciated the Covid precautions that are being taken. Now on to the good stuff, the food review, everything was delicious. Well, you know, since they're in the news and all for hatin' on old, white guys and I never had the opportunity to review them after we stopped going a few years ago, here we are again. I recall my wife's iceberg lettuce in a tube was a great novelty for the high price that it was and the atmosphere in the UTC location is dark and cave-like. The entrees were not memorable, but the desserts are. Desserts come in small shooters. Ice cream, key lime pie and other tasty stuff. Their bar is awful. Overpriced and pretentious. But mostly, I'm writing this review to remind you that Season's 52 hates old, white guys. Sarasota is full of old, white guys and if Season's 52 said that about me, I'd drive my Cadillac through their window. read more

This place used to be better. From the summer lunch menu: The steak in the steak taco was chopped so fine you could barely tell there was any meat. It was more of a lettuce taco. The purple rice was flavorless. I get it food is expensive so maybe there is some cutting of corners. The Mexican corn soup was flavorful but not much substance. The you pick two flat bread that came with the soup was ok. Reminded me of how Panera used to be before they descended into inedible. So there you have it. Season2 is the new Panera but with fancy cocktails. read more

Hands down the best salmon experience I've ever had in my life. I even tried the salmon by itself without the grill char and gravy and it was incredible. So moist and truly wild caught. Not a single doubt in my mind that I didn't receive a true wild caught Alaskan salmon. Some parts even tasted and felt like eating snow crab I'm not even kidding... also the the snap peas were super crispy and amazing. The heirloom tomatoes were awesome and so was the rice corn mixture. That grill char on the salmon brought out some of the most incredible flavors from that fish, I can still taste it 30 minutes later read more

Terrible food, terrible service. Had the butternut squash gnocchi. The gnocchi texture was like eating a noodle and drenched in a bland liquid. Our server also practically through our appetizer dishes on the table, as he was juggling dirty dishes in the other hand which he had just picked up from another table. Had one sip of the margarita and had to leave it as it tasted like sewer water. He also referred to the Pinot Noir bottle we ordered as an "entry level" wine as he was opening it. Never had a server provide an unsolicited critique of a wine choice. Will not return. read more

So rude! I even said 'Sorry to bother you'. Brown hair, girl at counter who completely ignored me when I walked in. I asked for a table inside but 'NO', didn't see many people there but only in bar. Had a great dinner the family. That being said it was very noisy and with older parents it made it hard to converse.

My wife and I stopped by the other day for our third visit and had a very bad experience. We will not be returning. The short story is I found something very disgusting in my drink after drinking about 1/3 of it. We don't know what it was and it makes me sick thinking about it. The waitress was very apologetic and brought me a new drink but nothing else came out of it. I did not want to make a scene and ask for the manager so we finished, paid and left the place. We had enjoyed the food during each prior visit but after having that disgusting experience we completely lost confidence in their product, staff, and cleaning/washing processes. read more

We had the whole roasted cauliflower which was hands-down delicious; tuna tartar was a good size and very fresh; filet mignon was well seasoned without being too salty and came out medium well when I asked for medium (but pretty close); and the cedar-smoked salmon which was good with an assortment of roasted veggies. The spinach salad with strawberries was also a good portion size. The desserts are very cute - for about $3 you get a tall shot glass of dessert. Great after dinner size for a taste of something sweet. Variety of desserts was good with about 6-7 options. Service was friendly and attentive with a nice sophisticated ambience. i want to begin by saying that I called to ascertain whether the staff would be masked. When it was confirmed that they do, I made a reservation to be seated outside. I am immunosuppressed & consequently very concerned. I only go out on weeknights to avoid crowds and only eat at outdoor venues. Our waiter was masked, however 2 servers, who came from behind me were unmasked. Since they came from behind, it was too late for me to put my mask on. Just wow. Perfect example of people putting safety in their first priority. Went to dinner with my Fiancé just a few weeks ago nothing special just dinner but man do they make it seem like a special evening. From the lightning to service and even finally the food was delicious. Portions were very respectable and everything just seemed very healthy. I had the grilled trout and my fiancé had a filet dish that looked incredible. We both left very satisfied and even took some of their little shot glass desserts home. Overall I couldn't be happier. In times like these with Covid and everything eating out is definitely a luxury and they sure made it seem that way. Will be going back as soon as I'm in the University area again. read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants. I have never been disappointed with the food or the service. The ambiance is amazing, especially in the winter. As you walk in you see a cozy fireplace to the right, across from the hostess' station. I always make a reservation, and have been seated within minutes. I did the same on Black Friday. They offered an all day happy hour, so we decided to just get a flatbread and share several small plates. The happy hour menu is one of the best in the area! We started with a flatbread and two glasses of decent wine for $15. What a steal! We chose the short rib and cheddar flatbread- it was delicious- big chunks of juicy meat that paired nicely with the onion, cheese, horseradish sauce and cilantro. We followed that with small plates ($5 each): shishito peppers, lamb chops and duck wings. The peppers were perfectly charred, a little spicy with creamy goat feta. Amazing! The lamb chops were cooked perfectly per our request, full of flavor. So were the duck wings. The meat was incredibly juicy and spicy! A warning- the wings are very spicy! But oh, so good! Then came the desert tray with 8-10 mini indulgences to choose from. Not an easy task. We picked the macchiato and the pecan minis. Both were excellent, just the right amount to enjoy, but not feel heavy and full of regret later. The menu is seasonal and changes quite often. My third visit was the worst possible. I left the restaurant before eating. The host stand is about as unwelcoming as possible . I'm headed to Capital Grill and won't be back.
