The food here is really good and they have a ton of options. I do wish that they had a separate dim sum menu because I was staring at the dim sum section for quite a while and about to choose an option and then realized that I couldn't get it because it was after 3 PM. and it's not super obvious which ones are in the dim sum section and which ones are in separate sections. so they could have a separate menu for dim sum only and not give that dim sum menu out during other times that would be ideal. I came with a large group and they were absolutely fantastic for our group. they did separate checks and service was great. Because I was part of a large group. We got to try lots of different foods at dinner and that was really neat. Our server was really fantastic and that she let us stay late after the restaurant had closed. One of our friends even showed up after the doors had been locked and she let her in. so everything she did was really for our benefit and it was incredibly nice of her. Above and beyond the call of duty. It's a great restaurant and has a view of Lake Union. However, you can't really see a whole lot at night time. But it was nice that a lot of the boats had Christmas lights up and that was really cute. Parking is pretty easy to find and it is free after 4 PM. It's in a lot, but technically it's considered "street parking". I definitely recommend coming and trying lots of the foods as they have quite a few delicious entrées and appetizers. read more

I will never eat here again. The location is beautiful but it's disgusting in there. I had the server give me a soy sauce dispenser and immediately a huge fly came out with the sauce. I told her and she apologized, gave me another one and it also had the same flies. When I kept pouring more and more came out. I wasn't even offered a discount on my food. I told her after the second time I would just like to cancel my order. I believe she heard me but still brought it out and charged full price. There's a huge chunk of the restaurant they are basically using as storage and it really unsightly. Not to mention the windows are completely covered in bird poop too! The location was great. Street parking was acceptable. There were bike lanes in the front. We had the upstairs banquet hall for our annual gala, and the entire experience was horrible. There was no accessible lift for people on sticks or in wheelchairs even to the entrance from the street level. The entrance lobby was way too small to handle hundreds of check-in efficiently. We had to stand on street then stairs under the afternoon sun for a long while. There was no accessible lift for people on sticks or in wheelchairs to go up to the banquet hall. There was a balcony but we were prohibited to go outside. The air circulation was very bad, so many of us had to take out suit jackets after about an hour. The lighting and table settings were fair. Because it did not have build-in PA systems, the organizers hired four speakers on stand, which were too close to nearby tables. They were loud and hurt our ears very much. During the speeches, many waiters and waitresses stood in front of kitchen and chatted loudly that interference our programs. The food quality was average and quantity was too much even for ten adults. The big pile of string beans just upset our appetite! We had a vegetarian, but was served only one mid size rice porridge with one plate of big pile of Chinese broccoli. How could a long running restaurant treat their vegetarian patrons? Over three hours, no server came to ask if plate is needed cleaned or replaced! The dishes were extremely slow! When we ended programs at 9pm, there were still two dishes unserved! read more

I discovered this spot when I first moved to Seattle, but it seems the name has changed, and it looks like it's now under new ownership and management. The menu was incredible, featuring everything from pumpkin seafood soup, shrimp dumplings, shumai, and peking duck, to truffle shredded chicken, xiao long bao, mixed vegetables with beef, typhoon lobster crab, and harbor fried rice. I really enjoyed the variety! Places like this are best enjoyed with a larger group, so you can try a little bit of everything. All the dishes were delicious! My personal favorites were the dim sum, peking duck, and typhoon lobster crab. Sure, eating the crab with my fingers was a bit messy, but totally worth it. Seattle Harbor is perfect for a full day out. You can enjoy a great lunch, then head out for some kayaking or paddleboarding on Lake Union right after. I'll definitely come back for another gathering the next time Seattle gives us one of these gorgeous sunny days. read more

Upscale Chinese dim sum restaurant. Great view. Was hesitant at first about food worrying it'll be upscale looks but lack of quality and taste but I was proven wrong. Food remained great throughout every dish. Price was decently comparable to other dim sum prices. The ambiance was great , having a traditional feel but nicer feel. New owners were friendly and let us try egg tarts fresh out of oven for free. Waitstaff was kind. Signs look like it's closed but it's just going through new owner transition, but it's definitely open and excited to see what the place looks like when we get seattle blue skies. read more

I've heard mediocre things about China harbor, so was intrigued when I heard there was a new chef and owner for Seattle harbor. Came here with a friend on MLK day for dimsum. The entryway area is dingy, but the seating area inside is nice and open with a nice view of the lake. We were greeted and sat immediately as well. We ordered from the QR code, but they also provide huge physical menus if that's what you prefer. Now onto food! Salmon tarts: intriguing, but not good. I can see what they're trying to do, but doesn't belong in a dimsum restaurant IMO. The cream cheese is off putting. Avocado BBQ pork buns: also intriguing. I like the bun and the seaweed top, but the avocado adds nothing. Lotus root and pork: yummy, wish it was crispier. Is hard to eat. Bean curd rolls: yummy! But proportion of bean curd to filling was off for me. Brown sugar sponge cake: so yummy, can't go wrong w that Overall, not a bad addition to the Seattle area. I appreciate that the tea was free(!!!!) and the space feels clean and welcoming (besides that initial entry area). read more

This place was once China Harbor but now has a new owner and new chef. The new name is Seattle Harbor Restaurant. Service - friendly and quick services. They have QR code to order your food. The new owner is very kind and friendly. The food - definitely delicious and unique. I like their Ha Cao shrimp ball in a glass with juicy broth. The roasted duck was also amazing with crispy skin. The flavor was excellent. Their soup felt healthy and hearty with mushroom, fish, and vegetables. Definitely better than the usual boring egg drop soup at other places. Parking is free!! Why would you try to go elsewhere with crappy parking? This place has a great view of the water, easy parking, and delicious food! They have space for 100 people event and also upstairs for 400 people event. The view is very nice. I love that the ceiling is high and there is a lot of natural light to enjoy your meal. Good to visit for any meal. Dim sum is a must try. Excellent for lunch and we will probably come back to check out dinner. read more

First of all, we were skeptical due to some reviews. I trusted the new owner who we have worked with before at another restaurant as I was in charge of planning a holiday party for about 90 people. The food was excellent here. To have this many people with no complaints is amazing. The view is great. The attendees loved the free parking. The set menu had quality food items like Peking Duck and beef chow mein, not vegetarian. My buddy said the chairs were comfy. Tea was still complimentary here, unlike some new Chinese restaurants. The first thing that hits you is the old lingering scent of cigarette smoke in the entrance to the building...The Seattle Harbor ( used to be China Harbor) has really seems to have had better days, day time ambiance is meh, everything has the dated old sticky feeling, the only thing that saves it is the view out the windows ( dirty windows). The food was fresh , hot and delicious- I got the orange beef and my friend got the crispy tofu and Chinese broccoli- we recommend all 3 dishes. The other atmosphere killer was the overly loud background music trying to drown out the constant noise of the fire suppression alarm system. It clearly has some night life action with a bar and dance floor ( events posted inside ) . The service was fast and efficient. Heard this place has new owners and we lived close by so came to check it out. I would highly not recommend this place, the building is breaking down and everything feels dirty. The only way I could describe how the dimsum tasted here was microwaved. Saw a waitress pushing the garbage can through the restaurant with no gloves, wondered if she also delivered our dimsum. Great view!!! Maybe the food was borderline three stars, but that brought it up. Heavy MSG, but still tasty. I'd say their crunchy foods stood out -- the peking duck, fried tofu, and fried ribs. The veg, mapo tofu, and other dishes were fine, but the MSG usage was more obvious. It was kinda annoying that they were out of all their fish though. This review is purely a PSA for my fellow Yelpers. This place has paid hourly parking, make sure you pay before you leave your vehicle. This establishment has so much potential. When it was being slated for closure, it was rescued by the owners who own Top Gun over in Factoria, which has great Dim Sum and I was hopeful for that well run work ethic to translate over the water to the new Seattle Harbor, formerly China Harbor. Great water views, plenty of paid parking options, bike and walking path right in front. Many boating activities nearby and on a bus route. Came by 10:40AM and they open at 11AM, walked around the area to enjoy sunshine, came back at 11:03AM the doors were still padlocked. A couple from Vancouver, BC was also waiting and confused, they called the number on the door and told the worker they are in front and are they open today? Worker said would come and open... we waited 10 mins and decided to cut loses when they still weren't opening, why would you trust food from a place like this? They have health concerns over keeping food at food safe temps. We checked socials and nothing states they are closed on Tuesday. Don't come here if you are looking to get food at an establishment that opens on time. read more

Went to Seattle Harbor for a dim sum lunch on a Saturday and had a great experience! There was no wait at all, tons of seating and a great view of South Lake Union. The parking in the lot is also free on the weekends. Their new system allows you to order at the table via QR code and multiple people can add to the cart at the same time. Check out is done with the waiter. Service was actually great, which was a pleasant surprise for a dim sum spot. Dim sum options were solid, though not as wide of a selection as some other spots in the city. They did have a big regular entree menu though! The exterior and interior are a bit worn down, but overall it was better than expected and I would definitely go back for an easy, less crowded dim sum experience. read more

Ordered take out on our way home and discovered they substituted half the order with whatever was "close enough" left in the kitchen. Didn't find out until we got home. Lesson learned, check your order before leaving. Mongolian Beef, chow mein, and potstickers were all good. Cooked well, with great flavor and good portions. Everything else in our order (Chicken, soup, egg rolls, etc.) was either completely flavorless or tasted like cornstarch mixed with sugar and cheap artificial flavoring. Basically, overly sweeten fried plastic. Couldn't identify a flavor if I tried. As stated above, a lot of our order was swapped out or slapped together with whatever was sitting in the kitchen at the end of the night. Wasn't the worst, but not any better than Chinese food you'd get a grocery store deli. Definitely wasn't worth the price that was paid. Maybe eating in house earlier in the day would be better. Came here for dinner with a group of friends and we enjoyed our experience. Yes, it looks very similar to China Harbor. We're not aware of the ownership changes or how that unfolded. We just know we had a quality meal service. All of the employees we interacted with were kind and friendly. Menu items are most definitely shareable. We ordered four dishes for four people and we were happy to take home the leftovers. We noticed there was a wedding happening in the venue space next door to the restaurant. We were glad to see that events were still going. If you haven't yet, give them a shot. If anything, you get to have a meal at a beautiful location by Lake Union. read more

Not a good sign. Sat at the view window - nice! Ordered a five spice crab - Sorry no crab today. Opted for special chow mein- it arrived al dente, luke warm and dripping in oil. Chef chu chicken breading was soggy and the chicken inside the coating was spongy. Left most of the meal uneaten. We tried. We won't go back. read more

Went in not expecting much since we were the only customers, but it was a Monday night and the host was welcoming. We ordered the roast duck, house special stir fry, and E-min (which was not on the menu) and all 3 dishes were very tasty and authentic. We know good Chinese food since we are Chinese and have been to many of the best in Los Angeles and SanFrancisco Bay Area. We will definitely go back to try other dishes. read more
