Nice sandwiches. The lady running the counter was very nice. However the sandwiches are quite expensive running around $20 a sandwich for that price they could include a bag of chips or something. We ate one there and took the other to go to eat on our drive through Big Sur. Conveniently located if you have just done a tour of Hearst Castle, and they have restrooms too.

    there's the castle.

Came for a wine tasting at Hearst Ranch winery. Cute shop. Very helpful staff. We ordered a Cubano sandwich and a bag of chips. They took our number and we walked across the street to the winery. About 15 minutes later they texted. Sandwich was huge. Plenty for 2. It came with plates, napkins and forks. Tasted great. Perfect.

Haven't been here in years! Limited menu but great service. There's plenty of seating but the pier is near by as well. Had the cubano Sandwhich and the grilled cheese and tomato bisque soup. Both were delicious and my daughter and could've shared.

Food counter at the back of the store. Menu is mostly sandwiches and salads. Great selection and fresh ingredients. Plenty of seating around in the patio. We got the 805 Californian (toasted) and the shrimp sandwich (served cold). Shrimp sandwich was messy but tasted like ceviche. Really recommend this one. The Californian had plenty of meat and veggies. I really enjoyed this one. We also ordered an iced Americano. They have good coffee here. This is a great place to stop and refuel. Bathrooms are kept clean and the store is very cute.

Everything on the menu is great! You can order online and then go pick it up too. We did that for a friend's birthday and then took our sandwiches across the street to the Hearst Wine Tasting. It was a fantastic birthday for our friend. This is also a great spot to get a sandwich and go to the beach. Many travelers stop here and take photos by the historical Hearst Buildings and eat on the patio. It is a favored local spot for lunch parties, baby showers and other gatherings. There is plenty of history here and a fun amount of gifts to keep you busy while you wait for your order. You can't beat Sebastian's when you come to the coast.

Cross-section of the Californian. Basically the most perfect turkey club anywhere.

We love the deli at Sebastian's- the sandwiches are way above and beyond in quality, quick, and never disappoint. My husband and I are so enamored with the Californian (a perfect, super hearty turkey club with excellent and plentiful ingredients- the pepper jack, bacon, thick-cut turkey, and sprouts really set it off) that we struggle to order anything else. When we do deviate, everything is excellent. The deli salads are great too- we love the broccoli salad. The outdoor seating is plentiful and comfortable, as well as spacious and dog-friendly (we brought our two today, and had no problem putting ourselves out of highly trafficked areas given that our newer little rescue is not yet used to restaurant patios). The store itself is super clean, and better appointed and curated than ever! They have some awesome gourmet and specialty food items, and a lot of very cute home decor items and gifts. Everyone there was super friendly and helpful, at the deli and beyond. Great little gift shop and sandwich spot!

Stopped by for a quick bite after wine tasting at Hearst Ranch Winery. Such a cute little store that completely fits in with the vibes of the whole area! While they have limited hours, they offer a nice selection of lunch items. Their Coastal Cowboy sandwich was packed with flavorful tri-tip - good size to either have for a meal or share between two. Because it was raining, you know we had to get a cup of their tomato bisque, too. Creamy and perfect for dipping our sandwich in. They have a few tables inside (and if I recall, a few outside as well?). While we ate here, you can also get the food to go and take it to the winery. It's also a general store/boutique with some kitschy items as well as wine-related gifts (and wine itself!) and some history on the area. We've stopped by here twice now, but it was never during a peak tourist time. So while it was never busy during our visits, not sure how it would be during summer. Worth a stop to look around and grab some lunch when you're in the area.

I was traveling up the coast with family. One of the stops was Hearst Castle. We booked the first tour of the morning and then planned to continue driving up to Monterey. We wanted to grab a quick lunch to-go that we could enjoy at some spot along the coast. I found Sebastian's on Yelp and I'm so glad I did! It's located across the HWY 1 from the entrance of Hearst Castle. The shop itself is adorable with very cute novelty gifts and souvenirs. The shop and restaurant were immaculate and the incredibly clean, well decorated bathrooms were a welcome site (especially since her castle only has porta potties at the moment). We got our meals to go and pulled off at a spot further up the coast. We had their pulled pork, barbecue sandwich, goat, cheese salad, burrata salad, and a side of smoked tri-tip. The sandwiches were huge and delicious. The salads were generous, filled with lots of goodies and beautifully finished with edible flowers. I'm still craving the smoked tri-tip and wish I had gotten more. I highly recommend this spot!

Sebastian's store is a sandwich shop that was highly recommended by the Cavalier Oceanfront Resort we stayed at. The indoor dining area has very limited seating, but luckily we found a table available. We all tried the tuna melt sandwich, the steak sandwich, the grilled cheese sandwich, and the soups. The Harvest steak was pretty good but there was too much horseradish on it that made it too spicy to eat. If you don't want it to be too spicy, I suggest you request the horseradish on the side. The restaurant also features wine-tasting and a souvenir shop, also a small supermarket inside the shop. There is outdoor seating outside the restaurant and you can see a few horses just next to the property. I would recommend going there for lunch or just a rest when you're visiting Hearst Castle or if you are in the San Simeon area. It might take a while to get your meal so you can buy some souvenirs while you wait. There are many famous attractions and photo spots nearby that you can easily visit.

This is a surprisingly good place to stop by on the coast or while exploring Hearst Castle. The sandwiches were huge and packed with meat. Scrumptious and ready to hit the spot when you are hungry. Prices are reasonable and the food is fresh. The burratta salad was good, especially the burrata cheese on the cheese toast. Both the Tri-tip and Pork Kimchee sandwiches were great.

Karen (the nice one) is an exceptional "welcome wagon" and outstanding ambassador for this historic general store across the street from Hearst Castle. She is a WEALTH of information; most deserving of a raise. Not Kidding. Assuredly, I purchased MUCH more due to her earnest fandom, outstanding recommendations and specific shoutouts within the store. Your dog is welcome to accompany you into the store. Big dogs. Wow! Super helpful.... Thereafter, there are delicious salads/food options and Hearst wine offerings to enjoy on their shaded outdoor deck. Epic burgers from the food truck on weekends! Can't wait for our next visit!

    Seaside is inside Sebastian's

Sebastian's is a mini mart with a mini deli inside called Seaside. You can also find drinks, wine, snacks and a ton of souvenirs and items for purchase. You can also taste some of Hearst Ranch wines and olive oils. There are plenty of outdoor dining areas with umbrellas, chairs and shade. There is a restroom for customers and plenty of amenities for any visitor. Dogs are allowed on the property. Service is amazing and the staff are always friendly!

Located in east village and on Main Street, it's on the corner and can't be missed. Very happy we came here for lunch because we had a great experience! I had the chicken pot pie and finished every bite. The chicken filling and gravy was tasty and the pie crust was perfect. We also had the turkey sandwich with salad which I would recommend if you're looking for a light lunch. The ollalieberry dressing on our salad was a great choice; the berry isn't as tangy as blueberry but tastes like a cross between that and a strawberry. They also have a to go service option on the side. We stopped there to grab a slice of the ollalieberry pie : highly recommended! Great service and food.

I was last here 15 years ago and I cannot wait 15 more. I'm going to start with the dessert. I was choosing between the white cake with buttercream frosting filled with olallieberry jam and the cheesecake with olallieberry sauce. It was recommended by the server to get the cheesecake. He was 100% right. The cheesecake was great and the sauce was even better. As an added bonus he gave me a small sliver of the cake to taste and that's how I know it was the right decision to get the cheesecake. Usually I'd get an olallieberry shake but the timing didn't work out right. I had the fried chicken sandwich with slaw on it and a side of the olallieberry slaw. I loved the slaw. I like the sandwich. The rest of our party ordered ribs and felt it was nothing to write home about. The Asian salad was well received. The meat loaf and vegetables looked really good. Linns is a cool spot and open later than most things which is super helpful if you're in the area.

Look I get it, tourist traps gotta trap, but this is criminal here. So for a total rip-off but nothing else to eat before bus ride so no choice, Plunked down an absurd 70 bucks for 3 soft drinks, 2 orders of beyond awful chicken tenders that tasted like a rubber duck (they refused to take back) best can do was refry them to at least be minimally edible. (they wouldn't take back!) and 2 salvageable burgers that I wished I ordered for myself which would've looked like filet mignon compared to the most traumatizingly awful fast food Ive ever eaten. Me and my son had to eat those terrible chicken rubbers. I had 4 baskets of food and 3 drinks, and they wouldn't even give me a service tray to carry them! Shameful and disgraceful place. Who doesn't love boiled hot dogs? Apparently me. My kids got chicken tenders and they were made of some kind of mysterious part of the chicken that was inedible and disgusting. The pretzel and fries were just okay. We paid $50 for these 3 food items and a few fountain drinks.
