I reserved a uhaul truck in Moreno valley Calif on Sunnymead two weeks in advance when I got there that Saturday I was told They didn't have the truck or the trailer I needed to tow my car so they sent me miles away to Riverside after trying to get me to drive 30 miles to Hemet California to pick up a 26 foot truck when I only needed a 24 foot truck when I got to riverside the 26 foot truck was there but there were no keys so Saturday was a bust and I had to pay movers for their wasted time I went back Sunday and discovered they charged my credit card $286 that Saturday so Sunday I didn't have enough left on my card because I had took most out for cash. They said they don't take cash which turned out to be a lie when I called the1- 800 Number so my daughter had to come down there and use her credit card. It took them all day to get me a truck and a trailer so I wasn't able to move Sunday,Monday packed everything up get on the freeway to San Diego 20 minutes later light comes on no gas I have to pull off the freeway me a 70 year old woman driving a 26 foot truck by myself with my car on a trailer to a gas station when I finally get to San Diego I unload the truck take it to the place they told me to,to drop the truck and trailer off at and was told they don't take trucks that big or trailers so I'm given a new address miles away when I dropped off the truck the place was closed I refused to put another drop of gas in that truck and they received their truck in excellent condition like they gave it to me and they had the nerve to charge my daughters card $186 more for late fees and no gas after they assured me, they wouldn't charge her because of the inconvenience they caused me SHAME ON you U-Haul give my daughter here money back I think refusing to accept my cash was a racist move because a white guy before me pay cash and there was no issue but when I wanted to pay cash I was told straight out they don't accept cash until I called the 1-800 number and the lady told them over the phone that's not true but by that time my daughter had come down and paid for me with her credit card because she and her husband were trying to get on a flight to Florida, so they not only inconvenienced me, they inconvenienced my family and then don't wanna man up and take responsibility. I was so tired and fatigued. Unfortunately, I have to update my review. I visited my storage unit today and discovered the lock had been changed. The front office staff said letters were sent, but I never received any. A year ago, they sold me the original lock--now they've removed it and replaced it with theirs, forcing me to buy another. This feels like a blatant money grab. Not only that, but visually, I could see that other units still had their old locks. And here are some pictures of the old locks currently there. Seems like they only picked a few of them. This place was amazing when uhaul wasn't. I was horribly inconvenienced by U-Haul mid move and left hanging without a single care. I called him and security storage said "come on down". Rented a Uhaul van and it was filthy. I highly doubt the van had ever been cleaned. There was standing water on the floor of the front seat, crap left in the door pockets, pet hair on the fabric seats, and the van wreaked of weed. read more

This is by far the worst storage unit experience l have ever had. Unfortunately, l had no choice but utilize this place for the last 2 1/2 years. A lot of my belongings were destroyed due to rat infestation. Customers pay for insurance but the insurance company makes it near impossible to collect because they find food wrappers in the pictures you give them that rodents bring into you unit from other units. The units are not individually contained so rats can travel from unit to unit destroying peoples belongings as they go. I spent a lot of money keeping my personal treasures here. In good conscience l cannot give a good recommendation to this place. It's horrible. Unless you want to burn money and have your things destroyed by rats go ahead. I recommend to either sell your stuff and buy more or go somewhere else. read more

I would give it 0 stars if that was possible. After having a reservation I was told the vehicle was not available and the reservation was only for vehicles that were available..... wtf? I was also told by one of the customer service people that I should have thought about moving on Sunday instead of Saturday. I'm sorry, but I drove 6 hours to help someone else move. 5 hours of phone calls and driving to 6 different u-haul locations even after having a reservation I finally got something that I was able to use but was not what I reserved. They expressed ZERO CARE or willingness to count. I heard it over and over and over before I even got to the desk. JOKE! PLACE SUCKS read more

RATS AVOID AT ALL COST! Based off the most recent review below we were not the only ones dealing with RAT INFESTATION! We made several visits throughout the time we used the storage and never saw rats when we would take items out. When we were ready to move everything out and we started moving our stuff there were rats everywhere! They chewed all of our new appliances, left poo all over our belongings. We put a claim in and they said we would get $400! not even enough to cover our clothes damaged. When i told the onsite manager he said well just clean them and use them they still work.
