Hello See's Candies Team, I wanted to also document another disappointing experience I recently had with the Sherman Oaks location regarding a DoorDash order. I was trying to order the California Milk Brittle (milk chocolate version), but I could not find the option on DoorDash. I called the store politely asking whether they could simply substitute or replace the item with the half-pound bag. The employee initially told me they could probably do it but needed manager approval. Then she said the manager was unavailable for 30 minutes to an hour because she was in a meeting. Right after that, she changed the story and suddenly said the manager would not be available until tomorrow. I explained that I was only asking if they could do a simple courtesy replacement or substitution, but the tone throughout the call felt dismissive and unnecessarily rude. As someone who has been a loyal customer and specifically loves the California Milk Brittle, these repeated negative interactions with the Sherman Oaks location have been very disappointing. read more

I've been here a dozen times, but I felt compelled to write a review today because of how they handled the chaos. It was a Friday afternoon, school had just let out, and the mall was absolutely packed. I'd promised my little one a sweet treat, so we braved the crowds at See's, and I was so appreciative of the kindness shown to both of us. Misha was incredibly helpful and patient, letting my little guy take his time picking out a special treat. I obviously couldn't resist and had to grab a few for myself, too! Even though Andy was busy with other customers, he still made an effort to stop, say hi, and give my son a high five. My family and I just had the most incredible experience at this See's Candies location. The moment we walked in, two female staff members greeted us with warm smiles and immediately helped me find exactly what I was looking for. They were polite, professional, and highly efficient. Shortly after, the manager (?), Eddie, came out to greet us and offered us some delicious samples. He was incredibly friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Eddie truly turned a simple shopping trip into a memorable family event! His high standards, knowledge, and deep passion for the products were obvious. This See's Candies location is located on the first floor of the mall. There is a small stand located outside of the store. This is great option because sometimes store gets really busy. It is a quick stop to check and buy candies. For service, I would say employees are nice and friendly. They greet customers as they walk in and offer free samples which is a great gesture. See's Candies is always great option to stop when planning to buy gifts because who doesn't like chocolate. lol They have a variety of chocolates to choose from. I was in the store and was offered a sample. I took the sample home because I did not feel like eating it at the moment. I took a bite into the candy, and noticed something moving inside the other half. It was some sort of larva. I immediately spit out the piece that was in my mouth and threw the rest of it away. I called the store, but they were rather dismissive about it. Now I am left to wonder how many times I've eaten their candy before, and there was something in it that shouldn't be there. read more

My wife wanted to stop by See's Candies today while we were inside Westfield Sherman Oaks mall. This See's Candies is on the 1st floor close to the mall entrance. This store isn't that big but it's perfectly fine for them. They have some stand outside of the store as well. My wife wanted to look at their chocolate box to give out for Christmas. We saw some nice ones and they also have some chocolate on display so you can also select your own chocolate as well. read more

This location is inside the Westfield Fashion Square Mall. It's on the first level just inside the main entrance. The staff here is friendly and helpful. And the line moves quickly. And they give free samples! See's Candies is a specialty candy shop and they're always a treat. And the prices are very reasonable. Great for gifts or a special occasion. Definitely recommend stopping here if you're visiting the mall, and it isn't too inconvenient if you want to make a special stop. The parking at the mall is free, and it's easiest to enter the structure from Hayvenhurst. Don't recommend entering from Riverside or Woodman. Not a lot to say. read more

When I buy chocolate for myself or loved ones - which is often, I usually buy See's - the quality is always so good and I don't get headaches (from the chocolate), but today IT WAS THE SERVICE that had us floating on cloud nine! ANDY N., I believe he's the store manager, he was just out of this world. So patient as I chose my pieces ( I do custom boxes because I like dark chocolate, but not the preselected boxes). He let me try whatever I needed to and he was very knowledgeable. He's very generous, funny and nice. What a guy. So, I think from now on when I go get my chocolate, I will call first and make sure he's there - he's that good and it's worth having him be on the other side of the counter!!! Let me start my review by saying that I am NOT really a chocolate type of a person. I do like sweets a lot, but not chocolate. See's Candies is my go to candy store whenever I am at the mall and have sweet tooth. I so enjoy all of their varieties. Especially their dark chocolate with walnuts in them and couple other ones like their mocha flavor is so yummy. Love them!! Store is fully stocked, clean, bright and very welcoming. Customer service is good, but the ladies are a bit curt, dry and rigid. I always feel like I am being rushed. I was at the mall on the 24-th of this month and Lizette M helped me out by choosing 8 pieces of chocolate and nicely put them in a box. Thank you Lizette. I am not going to duck a star for that, but it would be nice to see them smile when they are serving their customers. I have noticed this every time that I go into this lovely candy store. I haven't updated See's in a minute and well, it's almost Valentine's Day so it's perfect timing! We love this See's year round, this is our home store and we are so thankful the mall is open again so we can enjoy these sweet treats. I stop in a couple times a month, most recently to pick up a special little treat for our neighborhood crossing guard. We love him so much and I wanted to get him a little something to go along with his thank you card. I selected the foil wrapped footballs. Although my son is a big kid now, ok he's an adult but my kid still- he really likes the peanut butter patties. I always order a cup or two of these for him and often purchase the foil wrapped seasonal milk chocolates for him, hearts, turkeys, Santa etc. The sour candies are also a hit with my family. My mom and my son both really dig sour candy, and See's makes great selections of these throughout the year. See's is our go to chocolate shop. Godiva is nice, Ethel M is in CA now and has some great choices, John Kelley is yummm- but See's has so many solid pieces that are tasty they take the cake when I think of building special boxes or even pre packaged. I'm fortunate enough to have one grandma left to buy See's for and although she probably doesn't need a lot of sugar she loves the nuts and chews one pound box. My favs are: scotchmallow, dark peanut butter heart (new and so perf ratio of pb to chocolate!), cashew brittle, scotch kiss, milk butter chew, strawberry heart shaped truffles and the English toffee at Christmas time is to die for! I haven't bought See's candy in years! So when i passed by this store I decided it would make a perfect gift for my inlaws who recently moved into an assisted living facility. The store was immaculate, bright and well stocked. The lady working behind the counter was friendly and wrapped my selection with a traditional holiday See's bow. I went with my husband during the post-holiday slowness and was helped by Frank. I've been a returning customer for years, especially at this location at the mall because it's right by my house. However, Frank was really dismissive and weird with me. When I asked him for help and advice, he almost seemed bothered and annoyed, having to take time out of his day to help me. I felt a little ignored and the other gentleman there, Zach I think, just looked on like it was okay the way I was being treated. I just stopped in to do some Christmas shopping for my family. It was a Friday, and since this location is in the mall, the traffic was very busy. It was so packed with other people that there was hardly any space to look around. Despite that, the customer service was excellent and I felt so well taken care of. They were very accommodating and considerate, even asking my preferences for my free sample and finding me the most delicious piece! You could tell the sales associates were very knowledgeable about the chocolates and candies. They had great recommendations (and even helped me choose some lollipops and little treats for stocking stuffers that I wouldn't have thought of on my own), and at the very end, quickly gift wrapped everything so beautifully to perfection even though it was so many boxes!
