I love Sei Bar! Pretty inexpensive, very good sushi and always ready in 10 minutes! Everyone who works there is so accommodating and happy- I have never had a bad experience. I love sushi and am very picky where and what I order - Sei Bar is inexpensive enough that I don't feel bad ordering mid-week for a quick dinner. They also deliver for free within a one mile radius - I just moved to Everett and so far have not found great restaurants - my favorite sushi is yoki but they are more on the expensive side and the service is incredibly slow. The food here is very fresh! I almost always get the Sashimi Regular. In my opinion the quality of the fish meets (if not exceeds) what you will find in any other sushi bar in Cambridge or Boston. More "traditional" american options such as the chicken fingers and beef teriyaki are also to die for. I generally find the chicken fingers to be too greasy at other places, but here they are carefully breaded and cooked. This has become my "go to" asian restaurant in Everett since I have moved here, and I am proud to live near such a nice restaurant! The only item I have ordered that I did not like was the avocado salad, which had too much dressing on it for my liking. Delivery during weekend lunch hour. Time: Delievered within 45 mins. Price: A bit overpriced (see below for reasons) Quality: Food was still steaming hot when delievered. Overall: I am happy with the overall experience. But why not 5 stars? Here is why: I ordered the spring roll and paneng curry. The spring roll was a small portion. It only comes with two. The quality is quite good. If anyone like dim sum, these are the same styles you would get. However, is it worth $4.50 for two small spring rolls? No. Same quality ones in Chinatown would cost less while the order would have three instead of two. There goes one star. The paneng curry was fresh. The chicken was not dry and was flavorful. It was quite the standard amount you would get in other restaurants in the same area. However, it was not paneng curry. It is more like Thai red curry. There goes another star. Final thoughts: Am I willing to pay extra for food quality? Definitely but this quality does not worth the extra 20%-30%, maybe 10% to 15%. Probably won't order from this place again. read more

Itty bitty hole in the wall Thai restaurant. The Wakefield location is all spunky with a white bar & flat screen TVs...but I lived closer to Everett when I frequented this hidden gem. I came here so many times a few years ago that we became "regulars" and then by that standard, they feed you with an on-the-house app. They just gave it to us and smiled. I ate it, thought it was chicken, and asked the waitress, "what is this?" to which she replied, "tuna popcorn". I stopped eating it, not because it wasn't good, but because me & seafood aren't friends. At all. Anyways, their gyoza are pretty good. Kind of salty sauce though, but it's still pretty good. I had to let everyone know how good this restaurant is for sushi. It is never a let down. Took my daughter for dinner, and as always, am happy to see upon walking through the door then curtain, just how clean and tidy this place is. Very small seating, which is fine by me. It is always a cozy feel when we dine here. The service and staff are very friendly and accommodating and the service is very efficient. The menu is not complicated and more options other than sushi. One of the best deals for sushi is the Regular Maki Platter, which gives you 4 different maki (B-52, Mexican,Shrimp Tempura and California Roll, but for an extra $1.00 we substituted the Caili Maki for Spicy Tuna) all that for $20! This just happened to be the tastiest and freshest sushi I have ever had, and that beats all the big restaurant places too. It's like it is there just for you. Plating and presentation was on point. Plus we ordered the vegetarian and fried tofu pad thai ($8.00) so this was perfect for splitting and sharing not to mention not breaking the bank, either. There is a small sushi bar/counter and watch your order being prepared so close to where you sit, it's so friendly and personable. There is a very wide variety of beer and wine as well, no liquor, which keeps their cost low too. Don't forget dessert too. Mochi ice cream. There is no problem parking, as there is plenty on street spots. This will always be a small hidden gem. I know there are other locations, but this Everett location cannot be beat. I always get some kind a sushi, also some kind of combo that has a taste of everything I feel like. Absolutely worst of the worst experience I ever had dining in at a restaurant. No, I wouldn't really call it a restaurant since this disgusting place doesn't even qualify for it. Just got out of this place really upset and disappointed. 1. Came in this morning by myself for a light lunch. The server/cashier/and who knows whatever she's doing in the back of the kitchen doesn't say a single word before I say "Can I be seated?. The sushi chef looks at me, doesn't say a single damn word, goes back to whatever he's doing. 2. I order an Udon w/ chicken, and a thai roll. I ask the server, "how do you cook the chicken?", just out of curiosity since the menu just says the word chicken. How the hell am I supposed to know if its fried or grilled or whatever? Tired of being able to communicate properly, I just ordered whatever the shit the server says and wait. 3. Worst thing hasn't even started yet. I get my food and start eating. The server/cashier women disappears out of sight, and yes, of course the sushi chef was out of sight too. Basically, I was the only one who could be seen at this place for a good 20 minutes. At first, I was like ok maybe she had something urgent coming up. But, this vacancy lasts for 20 minutes and the ppl working here seemed to not give a shit about customers. 4. Halfway through my meal, I start smelling cigarette smoke. Who knows where that smell is coming from. Restaurant entrance was shut, and there was nobody else in the restaurant who would possibly smoke. As the disgusting smell of cigarette continues, I literally shout out "Hello?" "Is anyone working here"? Guess what? Nobody answers. I step up to the kitchen and notify whoever is in there that I can't eat no more and it smells like crap. After a couple minutes, the server/cashier slowly comes up and asks me what's up. I ask her if anyone is smoking in the kitchen or any other place in this restaurant. She tells me "No, this is no smoking" in broken english. Well, ok that's bullshit I thought. But I wanted to now get out of this place asap and asks her for a check. I added "Do you expect me to leave any sort of tip here?" "Do you have anything to tell me?". And then she decides to pull out an artificial "I'm sorry". Well, guess what. F*** you. I didn't leave any tip and left and in my receipt I commented, "Terrible service. Please let you manager know about this". 5. Obviously, I will not be coming back to this god damn restaurant ever again. Whoever the manger is here, is not doing his/her job because why would you let a cashier work as a server and a cook in the kitchen? Absolute bullshit. Just had to laugh at that line in my receipt that says "Tip: ". I strongly encourage people to look for other places for food. The third time I put in a note on Foodler to make the rice flavorful and they overseasoned it. My friends and I ordered 70 dollars worth of food for delivery, they said it would take 30 minuets, the food didn't come for over an hour and when it did come it had obviously been sitting in the car for along time. The sushi was grossly warm and they were missing a sushi roll we ordered. When we called to explain we were missing a roll order they argued with me on the phone, told me I was wrong and refused to bring us the missing roll. So, I am glad to say that Sei Bar is better than it was the last time I had it. Since I usually order my food online for delivery and they required you to call in, they fell into the background somewhere. I noticed earlier that they now offer delivery on Foodler and Eat24. I decided to give them a shot for old time's sake. I ordered a create-your-own dish that was called Spicy Peanut. I paid an extra $3.25 for shrimp, and I was glad to see there was a good amount on there. The food was lukewarm even though they are only about a mile from here, which was not a good thing, but it was tasty either way. I would have given them a 4, but there was nothing REMOTELY spicy about my food, even though I indicated I wanted it very spicy. I may order again, but I will have to somehow force them to read instructions and make my shit hot. read more

I like this place a lot! I eat there often. Sometimes the maki are skimpy on the fish, but if you inform the waiter or chef, they re-make it for you. Very nice waitstaff, and since the place is quite small, they are very attentive. Good selection of dishes and, what is quite important to me, a great selection of beer. :) The Everett place is closed Mondays. Service was prompt and nice. Sushi was not the best. I have had better and fresher from Sato I and II. Kagawa in Quincy is also better. Fish was a bit stringy...a clear sign it was not that fresh. Portions were ok, but nothing to rave over. Miso soup tasted like it was out of a packet. Green tea was not fresh leaf brew. It was a tea bag served with hot water in a cup. Amazing! I lived in NYC and cannot recall a place as good as the Everett Sei Bar for take out. First try and I literally stopped eating to write this review: everything was spot on: homemade BBQ pork and steak, hand made crab rangoon, spicy lo mein with grilled chicken and shrimp, top quality sushi (spicy tekka).
