Wow I'm so impressed by this restaurant! Don't underestimate this place because of its location. The food is amazing! I had the biste a la mexican with a side of yucca fries and it was so flavorful. Also the portions are big so you can share an entree. The drinks are also great! They have the seies vecinos size margaritas that will leave you feeling great for the rest of the night! The service was wonderful, our server was very attentive and always made sure we were good. There's also someone that walks around with a guacamole cart which was also amazing! Food took to long to come. We waited about an hour for of food. My mother had a soup and she told them no coconut milk and they said ok we will make it an another sauce. Picture having eaten and drank here several times with mixed reviews from great to terrible each visit. To then be walking with your daughter and being approached across the street from this establishment by a waiter claiming that I did not pay my bill. Literally just finished working. Work and live in the area. And this gentleman decided to accuse me of stealing and walking out of a bill in front of my 11 year old daughter. It was the most ridiculous experience I'd ever encounter. The audacity to just approach someone with no regard was the most unprofessional and disrespectful thing you can ever do. Be aware of your bill also. This restaurant is literally 3 blocks away from our apartment so it's very convenient. I was amaze by how many people come here for dinner that it's always packed during the weekends. The food and it's prices wasn't bad at all. Their guac & chips are the best. I love their paella too but it's a bit expensive for its quantity. (I hope they put more rice in it too. I have been to this place twice and it was good. However, the tostados and enchilada was horrible! I told the manager the cheese taste old and they did nothing to about it not even knock it off the bill. They didn't offer me another option nothing. Horrible service from the manager & place. I come here to eat regularly but today was my worst experience there. The wait for the food took 45 minutes, when I finally got my food I was chewing on little pieces of tissue. The owner tells me that that happened when they were gathering garbage from tables it fell in. I told the owner to give me the bill that I was leaving and he made me pay for my meal. Fantastic customer service and good food. I came in after 9pm on a Saturday night. The place was packed but within 5 minutes the hostess seated me at a small table in the back. I got my mojito quickly and it was perfectly strong. My main course came 10 minutes later, it was cooked perfectly and was so tasty. I've ordered from here a few times. I have had the chicken quesadilla, baleadas, huevos al la mexicana, horchata and passion fruit juice and other stuff I can't remember. They were all delicious. While I waited I had a margarita at the bar which was watery by the way. The food was definitely frozen and cooked nothing like home. The waitress was very attentive while I waited, which is a plus. Very nice restaurant, good atmosphere, parking around is easy to find, kids and family friendly restaurant, good selection in the menu. I saw this restaurant in instagram tasting the bronx and I decided to try. Prices are good, the food is really good. Workers are very attentive to the point that it feels like their rushing you. Sometimes we complain about bad service but this service was good to the point that it felt like they wanted for us to leave. We didn't even finished our food when the plate were being removed and by the time we were trying to settle the food we ate the waiter came to offer the bill and stud there in the table waiting for the payment. That was very bad. I will come back to give this place a second try because the food was good. Guacamole was very good, churrasco was cooked perfectly and shrimp too. Rice and beans was tasty. A hot summer afternoon got home from work and was not in the mood to cook decided to try Seis Vecinos and omg. my hubby had the fried red snapper he truly loved it, his one and only complain was that they put to much fried green bananas. my daughter had the nachos she said they were amazing and I believe her because she is my NY times food critic ‍.... My son loved the chicken flautas and I had the pork cheese pupusas the best I had thus far. Thank you and our delivery guy was awesome read more

We have been wanting to check out this spot for a while. Unfortunately none of the staff speak English. We were brought guacamole when we first came in that they make from scratch, which was nice, but the waiter couldn't explain it was extra even though we asked. So we ended up paying for something we didn't ask for. The restaurant itself is very nice for the Bronx, but the prices are reminiscent of the city. The taste and quality is somewhat more poor than Manhattan (and if you went there you wouldn't have to worry about a language barrier). read more

I used to love getting food at this place because honestly it was so tasty and it's hard to find good food in the Bronx. Unfortunately they have change so much!! The service is terrible they have messed my order several times! I even add detail when placing online orders so they don't mess it up but they still manage to do so! I order tacos salad all the time and they always forget to send the dressing. I have asked for management and they always say no Managnent. Then I think they change the cook because now the food is less portion. My salad was missing everything in it. It so sad to see this place go to shit. read more

I come here about 2 times a week with my boyfriend and he absolutely loves the food . This restaurant is in out top 3. The food never disappoints ,it's always amazing and great portions. The price is also reasonable and not too expensive . The only thing they can work on is the service, my Spanish speaking skills dwindled some so I'm not able to speak Spanish fully and all of the waiters only speak Spanish. But I just speak the little that I can and point at the items on the menu. By now the staff recognizes me and my boyfriend and they always greet us warmly. Seis Vecinos need to expand more locations and especially in the city too, I would love to see this place grow all while they maintain their unique flavors. -I love this place 10/10 stars ! read more

Beware of lack of transparency. They are out to get your money and I will hit you with charges if you are not careful. The food was good and the atmosphere very nice. The guacamole by the table was nice, but we were never made aware of the price of it and they try to make it look like it is a complimentary appetizer. We only found out at the end that it was $9. I don't care if a restaurant wants to charge $9 for guacamole, but please be upfront about it. Needless to say I did not let tip because I feel that operating with these principles does not deserve tip. The refried beans also tasted like fish but they were replaced with another dish. When they opened up a couple of months ago it was amazing, it was a cool place to go with your family but now I wouldn't recommend it. People are drinking all over place, walking around with their bucket of beers. The first time we got the Guanabana juice it was amazing it even have real fruit inside this time it was just water and sugar, I guess in the beginning they were making it really good to retain the customers because they didn't have the liquor license. Their food is great. Their service on the other hand is pretty horrible. They always get orders wrong. I always have to check on my pick-up orders to make sure I have what I ordered and somehow it's always wrong. -_- Despite of their errors, I still order because like I said, it's good food. I gave it 3 stars, not because of the food because the food was yummy, but because I feel that they are a bit "sneaky" in their operations. I felt that they were not upfront about costs to get you to pay for extras. Firstly, they bring a guacamole cart to your table and ask if you want some. They make it in front of you which is nice but it's a $9 charge. If it were only that I would have just taken the blame since I didnt ask if there was a charge for it. After that a friend orders a drink, small or large waitress asks, friend says large. Large is actually a HUGE drink with half ice that cost $25.00. There is no happy hour and each regular size drink is about $10-14. They bring you extra chips but be aware that extra chips are $4 . Lastly, please review your check because we were charged for things we did not order. It was about a $30 difference. I would recommend that you patronize the restaurant but proceed with the aforementioned caution. read more

I walked in on a Monday night to have dinner with my family, we are seated and our waiter comes to take our order, I ask him to provide me with a drink menu and he starts telling the type of drinks they have, then I asked him again if they don't have a drink menu, he tells me no. So I ask him how do people know what to order he then says they tell people from the tablet the drinks they offer??? I'm already thinking ok? This is odd. He then says he will be back proceeds to leave I look back and to my surprise what do I spot? A drink menu. Anyways, a new waiter comes out and he then starts to take our order, I then ask him briefly about some things on the menu, he gave his opinion and so we ordered what he had suggested. I order two pupusas and also a order yuca with chicharron, and fries let me tell you the food is super good, but the service is horrible. I had to keep asking for things here and there and my pupusas order was given to me plain no sauce or cabbage or anything, I had to ask for ketchup and keep calling the waiters over, we were given no water. It was just shitty service especially for the day of the week which is usually a slow day and they seriously lacked it. I also ordered a pupusa to go and the check at 8:25 pm at 8:55 we had to walk to the front for the check and the pupusa it took them forever.
