After my first bite, I immediately regretted not ordering a few extra croffles for the road--but I guess that just gives me an excuse to come back and try the rest of the menu. If you're unfamiliar with croffles, they're croissants pressed into crispy, buttery perfection in a waffle maker. They're topped with an assortment of mouthwatering ingredients before being served, making for an incredibly aesthetic (and delicious) treat. They also serve warm, freshly made taiyaki with a variety of fillings that are just as tempting. This place stays busy, and for good reason. Even if there's a line, it's absolutely worth the wait. They move through orders quickly, the service is efficient, and the quality never seems to suffer. I checked in at the front, and went browsing for pods to purchase. I went up to a podium that had a menu of pods, (unbeknownst to me, this was also the check out area). A male employee said "you need to move so I can help someone", extended his hands and ripped the menu from me. I was beside myself and completely caught off guard. It was so bad, the employee working next to him immediately asked how she could help me today. She checked me out, and apologized for her coworker's behavior; "I am so sorry the way he dismissed you, he should not have done that, I'll talk to him about it." Mind you, not once did I mention her coworker's rude behavior, it was just THAT noticeable. He caused a scene for no reason. As I was checking out, I had a moral dilemma giving my money to a company whose employee did not show me an ounce of dignity. It felt inhumane. I am thankful for the nice woman who tried to rectify the situation.

One day after having lunch at Whole Foods, I decided to cross the street and check it out. I'm always looking for places to read. The inside is massive. So many desks, tables, workspaces, etc. If you're looking for a place to work, this is one of the best I've seen in the area. I got one of their seasonal drinks, and it was good, but not great. I sat on one of their couches and read for an hour or two. The overhead music isn't very loud, so it was easier to concentrate. If you're looking for a place to work or quietly chit-chat, Capital One Cafe is ideal.
