I had them paint a side mirror for my Hyundai Sonata that I bought on Amazon for $49. Their charges were reasonable at $112 for the paint job. The Hyundai dealership in Tempe wanted $467 to do the job. What I like about this place is that it is a family-owned business. The owners are Larry and Bud and they work on site. I have never been more impressed with a company. This post is a little delayed, but I wanted to ensure I got around to praising their work and customer service. They not only did an amazing job on my brand new 2017 Subaru that an old lady backed into, but went above and beyond to work with my crazy schedule- even coming in early and returning my rental car for me so I could make it to work on time. This is the only place in town that I trust for a quality car body repair. Originally found Select listed on Yelp with high reviews. Got hit with major door damage and needed a repair. Always look at the places your insurance recommends. Usually they have poor reviews. This is because your insurance will recommend subpar shops. I always want to pick my body shop and Select was outstanding. They never use aftermarket or used parts. They always look out for their customers first. You have a right to pick your shop and make sure yours is Select! They will to disappoint. Sam at Select was outstanding to work with. He got me in for an estimate the same day! He took photos and was able to get an estimate within a day. The experience was so good and the reviews so great I got my car fixed here. They were done on schedule within a week and the finished job was outstanding! Couldn't even tell there was ever an accident. Amazing job! I have used them again for another accident, unfortunately to the same car about a year later. Again, great service and they worked well with my insurance. The final result was once again perfect. Hopefully no more accidents. I never had a bill for the repairs or the rental car as the insurance worked directly with Select. I have to say that I am extremely pleased. I identified three potential body shops in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area to repair my mother's Jeep based on these Yelp reviews and set out to choose one of the three. I did not get past Bud, and Select Auto Body. I knew within thirty seconds (no exaggeration) of meeting Bud, the owner of the shop, that this was the place for me. Bud is one of the most personable, upbeat and outgoing without being phony people I have ever met. He was highly knowledgeable about the repair needed. I knew he was not just a body shop owner but a man that had actually worked in body repair. Bud actually was an auto painter before starting Select many years ago. He knows how to repair a car flawlessly and he knows how to deal with insurance companies. The single most important part of any body repair is dealing with the insurance companies efforts to nickel and dime every repair with junk parts and Chinese aftermarket. Bud is the master of dealing with insurance adjusters and getting his clients cars fixed correctly, not cheaply. I have had experience with over 10 body shops in my life and not one of them came close to the quality and care exhibited by Select Auto Body. My mother's Jeep Grand Cherokee was sideswiped and sustained significant damage to the driver's side, including the driver and passenger doors and front fender. Bud and his body men were able to fit the Jeep with new doors and a fender and repair A pillar damage to the point were you cannot tell it was hit. The paint work was flawless. The body repair was seamless. The door fitment was perfect; the body gaps were all even. Everything worked and was done to Jeep/Chrysler standards. The car was literally restored to new condition, something I did not think possible. Bud answered every call and communicated with me promptly throughout the process. His shop is clean and he has made the investment in the latest body repair equipment. Best auto shop I have ever dealt with!!! Cannot recommend this place more! Picked Select Auto body after a random search for a body shop after getting into an accident. My car had a few issues that took extra time and rather than fight with me about repairs, my rental etc. they always made it clear that they were going to get the job within the insurance costs. Because I had a few repairs that took longer than usual and even some that had nothing to do with the accident they offered to install a new part at cost and gave me a loaner vehicle to use while my car was in the shop. Then they told me not to worry about filling up the gas tank on the loaner. Chris was so nice and the owner... sorry can't remember his name but it's a locally owned shop that truly cares about its customers. I have a super cherry 2006 Corvette with extremely low mileage that someone backed into, and I took it to Bud at Select Auto Body, and Bud wrangled with my insurance company on my behalf to install ALL NEW PARTS on my Corvette, rather than using a reconditioned hood and a reconditioned front bumper that were readily available and which the insurance company initially said had to be installed. But said he believed in doing "what was right for the car". I am telling you, you will not find a more experienced, caring, awesome body shop owner than Bud at Select Auto Body. We brought my husband's brand new BMW 335i in just last month after he was rear-ended on the freeway. They told us it would be two weeks, two and a half max. Over a month later we finally have the car back but the interior, which used to have a nice new car smell, now reeks of BO from the workers. Gross. Also, when we dropped the car off, they had a deal on their website boasting 50% off your deductible up to $500, yet when my husband went to pick up his car yesterday no such deal was offered. They should have honored the deal that was advertised when we dropped the car off at least - then take into account it took twice as long as they predicted and we were paying for a rental car that entire time! I've also taken my BMW X3 to them when I was hit from the side and it took twice as long with my vehicle as well. Their communication during the process leaves much to be desired and my car still has a rattle ever since the accident. Definitely not ideal - but if you have a ton of time on your hands to wait around for your car, dont care if you get screwed out of promotions, or your car is returned with a digusting odor or rattle then feel free to take your car here. read more

I recently purchased a 2014 VW Jetta and within 2 weeks, I scratched the paint pretty good on a curb and my girlfriend opened the passenger side door and hit a pole. That took a little paint off too. I called VW to see if they would do touch up paint and they set me up with Select Auto Body. I went last week to get an estimate and I was figuring a couple hundred dollars. Wow blew my expectations out of the water! I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking for auto body repair. I was rear ended back in Dec 2019 and because of insurance delays and COVID precautions I didn't get my car fixed until now. Prior to this accident I had never been involved in one so with that said I didn't have a clue of the process to get my repairs done. From day one they explained every detail to me and were spot on with the days it would take to repair, they kept me updated when they found damage the insurance appraiser didn't initially see and handled my supplemental claims without me having to lift a finger. Also I had a couple side items I needed to repair aside from my collision repairs (broken door handle, carpet on my floor board that was tearing up, basically typical wear and tear items) and they were able to take care of that as well and in the same timeframe I was originally given. When I picked up my car I found out they also had it washed, disinfected and a steering wheel cover and paper foot mats on the driver side. I love that they were so courteous to do so especially with all the craziness going on. So long story short, I couldn't be happier with my experience!
