This restaurant had it all: the decor, the ambiance, the nostalgic Greek memorabilia, the authentic accents and the genuine, impeccable food. Our server was ok (not overly friendly or interested) but warmth did exude from some of the other staff who bussed our plates. The mussels were delicious, with broth and tomato and feta and two big chunks of grilled bread - why couldn't they do this with the pita? Wine by the glass good and service was very nice but I think we only saw our server twice. Once was when she presented our check with the 20, 22, 25 option. But all in all it was pleasant! NOTE: I've had much better moussaka in the Mirage Diner on Kings Hway and E 9th St in Brooklyn - they give a large portion that almost fills an oval plate - with real lamb slices, succulent tomato-based sauce, visible eggplant layers. I was the only one still ordering food and it took 20 minutes for them to just bring out my fish. It tasted fresh. But it came with cold, leftover vegetable. Cold swiss chard that had been sautéed long knows how long. The fish texture wasn't smooth. It tasted kinda old, not a tender filet. The last time I was there, the fish was so smooth. I felt let down. I wouldn't come back. Not for wilted, cold leftover Swiss chard with a branzino you can get pretty much anywhere in the city.

The decor and ambiance are wonderful and reminiscent of a Small seaside restaurant in Greece. Giorgos (or Yorgos) is a premier host and manager. All the servers and staff are equally friendly and gracious. The Horiatiki salad was delicious and lightly dressed with olive oil. The tzatziki app with warm pita was perfect. We each had a small pita sandwich afterwards, one with chicken, fries and spicy feta and one with lamb and tzatziki. Excellent flavor all around and perfect for a dinner that was filling without being overdone. We had Greek wine and beer and ouzo. Would definitely return !!!
