I have been passing by this place like two times a day for 15 years and never bothered to try it. I decided to try it out today and boy was I missing out. I tried their fish tacos something that I usually never get or eat. I got to say it was amazing even there condiments on the sides are bomb lol especially the spicy cucumber. The free condiments are good especially the roasted chiles. They have a daily special wihich is a very good deal. The service is good and the cook makes your food fresh. This place came highly recommended and I was thrilled at the price so I was very disappointed when I sank my teeth in. There was loads of batter and not enough fish and whats with smothering the fish in whatever that sauce was. Rubio's makes better fish tacos then this and I'm not a fan since they franchised. I should point out that I prefer my fish tacos with fresh grilled fish, not fried so this was going to be a tough sell from the start. Fish tacos are the best that I've had anywhere, my friends from out of town always insist on eating here. Their shrimp cocktail is also very good. Its very small inside and chances are you won't get a table on fish taco Wednesday and they recently took out the booths and put in tables, boo! But the tacos are great so just go to the park across the street and enjoy. For food I would give them 5 stars and the dining area I would give them a gets a 2. I never was good at math so I'll average that and give them 4 stars! read more

Tried this place for the very first time. Was impressed with the food (except they forgot my grandsons fries). We ordered a beef burrito, torta, & also had to try their fish tacos & ceviche, which was really good. The staff is very pleasant. It's not a large place but it looked nice. YUM! I love this Señor Baja location. I get their chicken tacos with beans and rice. There is always a lot of Spanish speaking folks in here which I take as a good sign! Must be authentic! Very good food love the selection they have. Nice place to come easy with family and friends. They also have a tv so if a game is on like the NBA finals you can sit here and watch while you are waiting for your food or just kick it. Good fish taco place. The shrimp tacos are good too. Their quality has taken a hit, they obviously started using lesser quality meat for carne asada. Their sopes tasted frozen last time I was there and will not order again. I am not as big a fan as I once was due to quality. I prefer quality over quantity any day. I'll be up front and admit that I have only been to Senor Baja once. And, I can only rate them on two menu items, but I'm already in love. I have been searching for a place that has really good baja-style fish tacos in the area, and everywhere I have ordered them I have always been disappointed. I had seen Senor Baja pop up in my Yelp searches many times, but never took the opportunity to stop in. It's kind of a hole-in-the-wall place, sadly the type that you might not think to dine at unless someone gave a strong recommendation. Well...consider this your invite! If you like a good fish taco, $1.59 on Wednesdays is a pretty good deal. And these aren't wimpy fish tacos either. The portion of fish is generous, battered and fried nice and crispy. Add the fried chiles and their roasted red salsa - Yes, please! And, if your looking for something on the lighter side, or perhaps something to compliment your meal without having a second full-on entree, ask for the tostadita - a mini version of their tostada. Didn't see either on their menu board, but I heard the cashier describe it to another customer and just had to try it. And this was after three fish tacos! No regrets, though. They use a street taco size tortilla, but then it is heavily topped with beans, fresh lettuce and tomato, cheese, crema and your choice of meat. Got mine with carne asada which was super flavorful and grilled perfectly. It can get messy eating it, but well worth it. The only knock I have of Senor Baja is that the seating area was very warm. A lot of people were ordering their food to take out, but I typically like to dine in while the food is at its freshest. To think that I have deprived myself of this hidden gem for more than 10 years. No more! While I look forward to trying several other things from their menu, there is no doubt I'll be back for those fish tacos. read more
