We tried the fish tacos for the first time and let me tell you. These are fire. The fish was perfectly cooked with a nice crunch on the outside. However, the sour cream and sauce that comes with it has the potential to make the breading soggy, so we recommend eating them right away. They give a generous amount of cabbage and salsa and the double layered corn tortillas holds up well. Sizing of these tacos are pretty average. We ordered five for the both of us but we probably needed one or two more to be completely satisfied. The normal price is reasonable but I would definitely try to take advantage of their fish taco Wednesdays. I've come here often for the fish taco special on Wednesday's. Last time was bummed that they left the taco's plain - no cabbage/pico de Gallo/ or sauce. When I called they took my name down and said I could come back. I know some people prefer the stuff on the side- bad thing was nothing was included so it was literally breaded fish and tortilla only. We've tried the potato tacos - they are good. For around $9, I got a plate of three massive fish tacos, the fish being perfectly lightly fried, with just enough crunch from the cabbage and zest from the lime. Do note that what they call "crema" isn't really crema but a mayo-based sauce, so if you hate mayo like I do, ask for sour cream instead of their faux-crema. This place has really good fish tacos at a very reasonable price. On Wednesday fish tacos are $2.49 Compared to other places we've tried this tacos are probably some of the best. They are not stingy with the fish. Also the fish was fresh and crispy you could tell they had just fried it. We love the big yellow roasted peppers and the spicy cucumbers! Their food is great! Fish taco Wednesday's- only $1.59! They're delicious guys! You can get them grilled or fried. Whichever way, you won't be disappointed. Their shrimp ceviche tostadas are fresh and delicious and always Topped with a generous amount of fresh avocado slices. I also recommend their asada tortas. The torta bread is always toasty and made perfectly with the right amount of beans, avocado and diced Asada. Their Asada tacos are great too! The fish tacos are unbeatable. The fish isn't greasy or oily. They pair it with fresh produce and delicious cream sauce. Their rice and beans really complete the fish taco meal quite well. It normally comes with crema,, I asked for the spicy sauce which recommend... I also brought some sweet chili sauce. To to it off... what can I say, I like things a certain way... Wow! What happened to this place ... Food is nothing like what it use to be! Disappointed. This place, being totally honest, was the best mexican rice for me. I have even ordered their race for family parties before too. Did a to-go order here on Halloween last Friday and I got a two hardshell taco plate and a fish taco. Man o man, did this place change so so much. Unfortunately the beans tasted very thick, dry and pasty. The rice was actually cooked well, but lacked all of the flavor they use to have. Watered down rice anyone? The hardshell tacos, well, I honestly do not know what to say but that it tasted as if they were cooked a couple days ago. Since I was impressed with the fish tacos at the place of the same name near my home, I decided to check out the one I saw near work. So far so good with 2/2 for tasty, fish tacos. I may be bookmarking Senor Baja's just in case it's $.99 day at a franchise nearby. I lucked out at this one since Wednesday was their $.99 fish taco day. This one is cleaner with nicer seating, and they made the tacos neat like their inside. I would have liked a larger serving on the toppings, but still a good taco. Since it's my first time here, maybe I'll ask the second time around. They do have more choices on condiments. The yellow chiles here though are great!--They prepare it ahead of time with salt, pepper, and lime mixed in! $.99 days are usually popular, and I just beat the crowd as the line formed while I was eating. This place is sort of a hole in the wall and is tucked away next to Jay's Market so mainly locals go here. Students from nearby Charter Oak HS can make it here during lunch break and make it back in time. This place is known for their 99 cents fish tacos... they used to offer it more often but lately it's only offered on Mondays and Wednesdays. If you have a small appetite, two will be enough but usually it takes three to satisfy. Served piping hot on small dual flour tortillas, it's lightly battered fish with lots of cabbage and pico de gallo, and topped with a mayonnaise based white sauce. A little sloppy to eat but I find it pretty satisfying. A good local bargain for a buck each to satisfy a fish taco urge. Open 9am to 9pm everyday but presently closed on Sundays. read more

We came here for the Fish Taco, Thursday special ($1.50 each). We are here like twice a month for these and have never been disappointed! I've yet to visit another place that comes close the quality or price of their fish tacos. The tacos are very generous in size with bountiful chunks of tasty white fish. The tacos are then covered with a nice, creamy white sauce along with the usual lettuce & tomato mixed in, all contained inside two corn soft shell tortillas. Three are as many as I can handle, even on a hungry night. Several months ago I complained in my review that although the food was good at a reasonable price, it was beginning to look a little run down.
