We decided to try Senor Baja based on an Instagram post about this place. We ordered 10 tacos which included their signature Ensenada style fish taco and the carne asada. We also ordered their chips and salsa. All in cost us about 60 bucks. Each taco hovers around $4.50 on up. A little pricey but portions were good and food tasted great! The fish taco was very flavorful and batter was on point. Order came out with the wrong size chips and salsa that was 7 bucks, but after asking about it, they provided the right size. It was my first time having a fish taco ever. Drove out of the way to this location because the reviews were better. I got a 3 taco plate with rice beans a drink. I elected to try 1 fish, 1 shrimp and one potato taco. When I opened the box I was shocked to see how big the tacos are. Only 2 fit in the box and they had to give me my potato taco in a separate box. The shrimp taco was so good. Very flavorful and filling. Next I tried the pita taco, the potato's were soft and seasoned well, lastly the fish taco was pretty good too. It was crispy and puffy, the only thing I wished, would have been to fry the fish a little bit longer for ultimate crunch. I'm very sad to write this review because I use to love this place. The quality of food has drastically changed while their prices continue to go up. Today I paid $15 for a shrimp cocktail and got the gross tiny shrimp that were not de-vained. These use to have actual good sized shrimp that was cut into pieces. Don't waste your money going here. Generally this is my "go to" for fish tacos, however that may soon change if they keep up these shenanigans ! Problem 1: large chips & guacamole = $5 for '4' oz that looked like 1 oz. Problem 2: the taco shells were hard...I mean like stale and chewy. The fish was soggy! I honestly feel like that food had been sitting there for a while and somehow they managed to serve it to us. Problem 3: the flavor must have been left at the store because that was the blandest food I've ever seen. Couldn't really taste it because it was just wrong all together. Woooohoooooo this location is FIRE! Came after a night of drinking and they were about to close. We came in and asked if they would still take or order, because they had already cleaned up. The staff were so FRIENDLY they said of course they would take or order. The young man working even brought it to our table. The inside and outside are very well maintained. (Bathrooms were super clean) always a plus in my opinion. First time ever at señor Baja and the food was so good! We got the 3 taco combo and they're huge! With 2 taco's I was full and didn't even touch the rice or beans. Your order comes with complementary chips and their salsa it's like chipotle so good! I mentioned to the cashier it was our first time going there and she gave us 2 potato tacos for free to try and they were amazing! So nice and crunchy and all the good toppings. The best thing are the chiles toreados with the seasoning those are chefs kiss! First time eating at this Senor Baja. My husband and I were impressed with the fish tacos. I ordered the 2 fish combo meal, and my husband ordered the 3 fish combo. The Combo's came with rice and beans, along with chips and salsa. We did not expect the fish tacos to be large and meaty. Actually, the meal was so big I was only able to watch 1 taco, and I was surprised and could not believe he was full of 2 tacos. The restaurant was well-kept. The ceviche was so fresh. I did have to add some salt because I love salt. I think they make their own tostadas because they were so good. Lots of flavor and it made it all just taste amazing! One of the best seafood taco/burrito place in the area! Their baja shrimp tacos and the surf and turf burritos are delicious. Very fresh food. I am undecided on what rating to really give them, the place is clean, televisions and radio are loud, service is ok, not very friendly but I've seen worse. I came specially for a shrimp cocktail, but I also got me a michelada and a fish taco, what a disappointment, the michelada was very good, the fish taco was DELICIOUS, the salsa was on point, unfortunately the shrimp cocktail was bland, flavorless, and so stuffed up in the container that whatever juice it had, it spilled by trying to pry it open. I really needed to update my review...I just had the most wonderful experience dining in at the restaurant and BOY does it make a difference! Dining in is definitely a MUST. Honestly, the food is always good...but having the food fresh is like a whole other experience that doesn't really compete with takeout. I am honestly considering having a birthday party, here! It's that good! The fish taco I had right off the fryer was honestly heaven in my mouth. One of the things I particularly enjoy are the side peppers and having extra salsa. These sides really make a difference and the service was amazing, they were able to give me extra. Thank you so much Señor Baja...this honestly increases my enjoyment of the food by 100%! Absolutely 0 compassion or good customer service. I called maybe 3 minutes after placing an online order to the wrong location. I live 30 minutes away and meant to put it into the Riverside location. I understand it was my error, but there were only 10 minutes until closing, so there was absolutely no way i'd make it on time. They basically told me "Oh Well" over the phone.
