Quesabirria Tacos
Rachel P.

This place was wild. Not at all what I was expecting. You need to know what you're getting yourself into because there is no boundaries with the workers when they take people on stage. Drinks were fine. And the birria tacos were filled with meat. A little too much for me!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a high energy bar right across the street from the beach on A1A.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a fun place to dance and have a few drinks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's also a popular place in a lot of the Caribbean island ports.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]it's a busy place right on the beach along with the other bars and restaurants and really hard to find a parking spot close by You usually have to go to the parking garage.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The wings were perfectly cooked!

Señor Frogs was a lot of fun! Today reminded me of the HS days of always wanting to party it up at one of these places. Never been... but I can definitely see the appeal to a younger crowd... but don't get me wrong... it was fun! The MC was lively, got the crowd involved, cheering, and being it was Cinco de Mayo, got them hoot and hollering! Lots of fun. Now the food... didn't really know what was good, my wife and I decided to order the Chicken Tacos, and the sauce it came with was perfection. It had a smoky flavor, but can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe smoked paprika? Either way, muy delicioso! We also ordered the party platter, which had a little of everything. Jalapeño Poppers, BBQ chicken wings, Taquitos covered in guac and sour cream, and some Cheese Quesadillas. The wings were perfectly cooked! Crisp and the meat was thoroughly cooked. My wife and I were able to split it together and couldn't finish it. Had some festive drinks to go with it! The timing was right, as we just arrived into Ft. Lauderdale and it was CdM. Overall, we enjoyed our time, the food, and the festivities. We also like people watching, and there was this uber conservative couple next to us, and the hubby was staring hard while the Mrs looked annoyed from being there... but that's an observation... they could have been digging it! LOL... anyway, as always, Enjoy and Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Señor frogs right at the beach!!

It was a beautiful day in Fort Lauderdale and we had 8 o'clock flights back to Va and decided to get a bite and hit the beach before. Senior frogs was easy to get from the airport and was literally across from the beach. We were quickly service and opted to sit outside so we could hear the water. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was shaded although hot outside, they played the best music and also had the most fun decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. our server quickly came over and took our order and made drink suggestions. We chose the blackberry margaritas from her suggestion. I also got the chicken fajitas and my bestie got the appetizer platter with wings; jalapeño poppers; empanada and cheese quesadillas. The food took a little while as the kitchen was a little slow but when ready the cooks but out our food and it was so hot and fresh! Overall it was a great experience and I'll def be back.

Delicious lunch today at Senor Frogs! We passed by as we were walking up and down the beach. Fun vibe, great service and refreshing air conditioning!! My husband got a Heineken 0 and the Fettuccine Alfredo. I got a Miller Lite and Veggie tacos. Everything was great! Would definitely eat here again if we come back to the area!

We enjoyed watching the younger crowd dance and participate in the games[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Although I love to dance, I was happy to dance in my chair, can't complete with the younger moves it was fun to people watch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were visiting on a very celebrated Cinco de Mayo, so fun.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We started off with drinks and I had a refreshing mojito. We indulged in a sampler plate appetizer. All were very good, the wings were really good. We moved onto sharing very tasty shredded chicken tacos. Really good with all the yummy trimmings. Good food and Good times

The vibe is relaxed yet elevated, making it great for a casual night out or a special event. They also serve food, with light bites and shareable options that pair really well with the cocktails perfect for snacking while you enjoy the atmosphere rather than a full sit dowbmeal. I came for a doggy Christmas event, and it was such a fun experience. Super pet-friendly, welcoming, and well organized, which made it even more memorable. Whether you're stopping by for drinks, food, or an event, Escape Rooftop Lounge is a great place to unwind with a view.

I can confidently say they delivered on one of those things, the experience. Unfortunately, the food felt like a failed attempt to escape... an escape room. Let's start with what absolutely works. The location is stunning. Truly breathtaking. The views are spectacular, the atmosphere is elegant, and the setting makes you feel like you have unlocked a premium level of Fort Lauderdale nightlife. The service is upscale and unhurried. No one rushes you, no one pressures you, and you are encouraged to linger and enjoy the moment. From a vibe perspective, you are winning. The drink menu is limited, but what they offer is top notch. Well crafted, balanced, and enjoyable. Think of the drinks as the first puzzle you solve successfully. Confidence is high at this point. Then the food arrives, and this is where the escape attempt starts to fall apart. We began with the bruschetta, which was absolutely dominated by balsamic. Not gently accented. Not thoughtfully drizzled. This was a full-scale balsamic ambush that completely overwhelmed the dish. Puzzle one failed. Next came the octopus. Perfectly cooked. Tender. Juicy. Textbook execution. Unfortunately, the flavor was nowhere to be found. Every bite was completely hijacked by the beans in the dish, leaving the octopus feeling like a background prop in its own plate. Puzzle two failed, morale dropping. Then came the calamari and mussels. Once again, the seafood was cooked properly, but flavor had clearly escaped through a hidden exit. Bland, forgettable, and confusing in how something prepared this well could taste like so little. Puzzle three failed, clock ticking. The fourth dish was the caprese salad, which somehow managed to swing in the opposite direction of the bruschetta. The tomatoes tasted like they were fresh from a grocery store shelf. The balsamic barely showed up this time, as if it had used up all its energy earlier. The mozzarella sat there watery and bland, contributing nothing and offering no clues. Final puzzle failed. Escape attempt unsuccessful. By the end of the meal, I felt like I had just spent two hours in an escape room where everything looked incredible, the staff was friendly, the room design was flawless, but none of the puzzles worked and you never actually escaped. Overall, Escape Rooftop Bar delivers breathtaking views, excellent service, and strong drinks. But the food turns the entire experience into a beautifully designed trap. When expectations are sky high and the kitchen cannot deliver, the disappointment hits harder. Two stars, awarded for the scenery, the cocktails, and the hope that one day the food finds the exit.

One of my favorite Michelin places. We got the tasting menu at the chef's table. I thought we can watch the chef prepare our meal but you're just sitting in the kitchen watching staff prepare food for the restaurant. We couldn't see them making our food. We arrived at 5:25. They seat you at 5:30 so they sent us to the bar for drinks and close out that deal. They sent our bottle of water to the other side after we paid for it and were charged twice for it. They have a huge staff. A different server for every two people being served explaining the plates plus the staff in kitchen talking and yelling over each other. I couldn't hear any of the details for the dishes. That took away from my experience. They give you a menu when it's over. I would have preferred getting that before eating. One other small issue to some but huge to me. I had allergy not a food sensitivity listed on my reservation, on a phone call and confirmed before eating. They served me an allergen! I couldn't hear the server as he was speaking and I happened to hear it and repeated did you say!! Of course! This is a big deal to me but it was brushed off as no problem we can change it to something else. Fabulous meal but the noise level was too much for me.

Parking was conveniently located right in front of the restaurant, making it an easy stop. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted and invited to sit wherever we liked. We chose a table near the window and immediately appreciated the intimate and charming atmosphere. The restaurant also features a bar and televisions, creating a relaxed and welcoming vibe. Our waitress was pleasant, attentive, and made us feel right at home, which always enhances the dining experience. Although we weren't extremely hungry, the menu had so many appealing options that we decided to sample a few items. We started with the Caribbean Tea shots, which were unique, refreshing, and surprisingly enjoyable. For drinks, we ordered a Malbec and a Peanut Butter Old Fashioned. Our first entrée was the Churrasco Frites, featuring marinated skirt steak topped with chimichurri and served with twister fries. The steak was cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful, but those fries were the true star of the dish. Still wanting more, we ordered the Garlic Parmesan Twice Cooked Wings. They were nicely prepared and satisfying, though I would have enjoyed a stronger garlic flavor. Not quite finished, we moved on to the Oaxaca Burger, an 8 ounce burger stacked with onion rings, bacon jam, house BBQ sauce, and Oaxaca cheese. This was one of the best burgers I've ever had, and possibly the best. The bun was toasted yet soft, the burger was seasoned perfectly, and it was cooked to a juicy medium temperature. Every bite was packed with flavor. Overall, everything we ordered was excellent, and the service and atmosphere made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning.

I have had several things from the menu, including a hamburger, house salad, wild salmon, chicken Melanesia, empanadas and even a hot dog! Everything is fresh and high quality. The salmon is huge and very fresh. It has a mild blackening/seasoning that forms a nice crust. The chicken reminds me of my mom/grandma/great grandma's chicken cutlets! Very Italian/Sicilian vibe. (Get them with mash potatoes). The patio is always comfortable with a great breeze and a view of the ocean a block away. What really stands out here though is the friendly service. Andres has been there almost every night and has always been great. He is very prompt with bringing drinks and food. You can see them hustling down to the kitchen and keeping things running smoothly. But what I like the most is the friendliness. He is always willing to chat about soccer, music, wine, or anything else (but also knows when to leave you alone so you can eat). Also, the value is pretty good. The wine is $10 or less. They have my favorite Malbec. And even the ribeye, at the beach, for $27 is not bad at all. Some of the appetizers are a bit pricey ($13 french fries) but I think all in all its one of the better values in the area. Note they do not serve liquor, only beer and wine. Also, there are no tables inside. Just a small bar inside and then several tables outside. This is a fairly quiet and unpretentious restaurant. If you want a trendy noisy evening this is not the place. It has never been packed, but there is usually a person or two at the bar. They play music but it does not dominate the atmosphere. Usually something chill like reggae. If you want friendly service, good food, and a relaxing environment, then this is a great choice. Dog friendly patio. This is the type of place you can sit with a book and drink wine, or catch the soccer game and have a beer or three. Definitely worth a visit especially if you are staying at the hotel!

As entrees, we shared two entrees - the pesto pasta and the gnocchi which at the time was made with a pork type of sauce. Both were very delicious and we really enjoyed the flavors of both.
