My girls and I had a spontaneous last-minute brunch and decided to check out Senor Frogs new Drag Brunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Senor Frogs is definitely the place for fun![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] However, the brunch food was just okay. Most of my friends ordered the Chicken and Waffles and I ordered the Omelet. My friends did not enjoy their chicken and waffles that much, they said it was cold and the sauce was not a great syrup. My omelet was fair, but I really enjoyed the breakfast potatoes that came with my eggs. It was unfortunate that they did not have an appetizer or side to order prior to the meal. To drink, we had unlimited mimosas that were worth it but I also got a margarita and a gin & tonic. They were decent well drinks in plastic cups but got the job done. We got complimentary shots (I don't know how) but they showed up at the table. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And lastly, the queens put on a show! It was great from start to finish. I loved the music choices, the costumes, make up, and vibes. The food was very average and the meat was overcooked, nachos were loaded with stale chips but at least the meat was seasoned pretty good but again suffering from being overcooked. Frozen Bahama Mama was waaayyy too sweet with barely any alcohol in it and everything was extremely over priced. Not at all worth it in my opinion. Service was just OK. Señor Frogs was a lot of fun! Today reminded me of the HS days of always wanting to party it up at one of these places. Never been... but I can definitely see the appeal to a younger crowd... but don't get me wrong... it was fun! The MC was lively, got the crowd involved, cheering, and being it was Cinco de Mayo, got them hoot and hollering! Lots of fun. Now the food... didn't really know what was good, my wife and I decided to order the Chicken Tacos, and the sauce it came with was perfection. It had a smoky flavor, but can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe smoked paprika? Either way, muy delicioso! We also ordered the party platter, which had a little of everything. Jalapeño Poppers, BBQ chicken wings, Taquitos covered in guac and sour cream, and some Cheese Quesadillas. The wings were perfectly cooked! Crisp and the meat was thoroughly cooked. My wife and I were able to split it together and couldn't finish it. Had some festive drinks to go with it! The timing was right, as we just arrived into Ft. Lauderdale and it was CdM. It was a beautiful day in Fort Lauderdale and we had 8 o'clock flights back to Va and decided to get a bite and hit the beach before. Senior frogs was easy to get from the airport and was literally across from the beach. We were quickly service and opted to sit outside so we could hear the water. I hardly ever have any negative things to say about the places I eat but this one needs a lot of work. First it took around 20 minutes to even get the water we ordered while we were looking at the drink menu. Then we kept looking around for our waiter and was told he went to the restroom. Well after about 30 minutes of still sitting there after the 20 min it took to get our water we decided to leave. Like other bars nearby, 18% is automatically added to the bar bill. It's really just a mandatory tip regardless of the level of service. The thing is, because it's not well described, when you go to pay the bill, you add on another tip, part of which is a tip on a tip which is double dipping at its worst. And to add insult to injury, when I asked a bartender about the mystery charge, she said it's a service fee but we don't get all of it. Sure you don't ....
