After the Chelsea Handler show we decided to have dinner here at 10 pm lol!! So late for all of us . Thank goodness Serrano Vista cafe is alot more quieter, we can have a conversation and not have to shout at each other. Unlike chingon and rock & brews it's very loud my throat hurts after leaving those two places . Serrano Vista interior designs are beautiful, calm & serene . Settings can feel intimate, can also occupy large groups as well . We were seated with in 15 minutes of waiting. Our waiter Tyra took our order and the rest of the staff who brought over our plates were friendly and attentive. My friend and I had the 8 oz. New York Beef strip with eggs , fries and toast. My friend had 2 bites of her steak, she mentioned it felt like it's been sitting under the heat lamp for a while. We did agree the steak was chewy, had no flavor despite having grilled marks. Two of my other friends had the bibimbop to add chicken $9 , shrimp $10 extra. They two were not impressed with their choice. One mentioned the chicken were bland and texture of rubber , while my other friend thought her huge shrimps were cooked perfectly. I recently had breakfast at the Serrano Vista Cafe. I ordered the Bagel & Lox and fresh fruit. The Bagel & Lox were delicious! They didn't skimp on the cream cheese. There was so much that I had to scrape some off. The fruit was really good, but the portion size was small. I've also ordered several items to go (Loco Moco, Pastrami Hash, and Chorizo Omelet). AND the restaurant always looks like this...( see pics) basically 60% empty tables ....can someone tell me what I'm missing? I get that they take reservations, but when most of the reservations flake, and your tables are mostly empty and there is over a 1 hour wait with a bunch of people waiting then figure it out... seat people! Also don't do your bar deep cleaning at 6am when you open the restaurant . It takes away about 15 seats. Maybe do it before opening? or after we closed... ?I dunno, just a thought....especially on a busy Saturday morning... There must be a good reason but I can't figure it out.... Also don't tell guests the wait will be 15 minutes when it's an hour... I was waiting so long I actually closed my eyes for a minute while sitting in the enclave bar seating area and opened my eyes to a cop in my face telling me I couldn't sleep here. While at the Yammava Resort casino, I ate at this restaurant Located inside at the far back. I ordered just a Caesar salad because it was late in the evening. It was very delicious. The service was ok, but the ambiance was beautiful. The place is very modern with a trendy look. Note: May have to wait for seating for an hour in a half or if you get lucky sit at the bar without waiting. They have a kiosk where you can order limited items from their menu if you do not want to wait. Plenty of seating. I will be back to try other food items. read more

As a Service Provider for over 25yrs, I understand that implicit biases exist and needs to be acknowledge inorder to not negatively impact the people we serve. However, the explicit biases experience here needs to be addressed because it's not the first time that it personally has rear it's ugly head in my direction. This is my second post about this restaurant.I have eaten here at least 3-4 times per week for the past 3 years and if I'm unhappy with my meal prepation or portion after spending Thousands of dollars for it, I should not have to be reported as a problem person especially I was not loud or disrespectful in any way. There are cameras there to verify and support my complaint. But historically whenever we speak up, disagree or have an opinion we are mislabeled. This establishment was always on the top of my high praises when it comes to the food but the service and retaliation for speaking up Twice in almost 3 years should not elicit reprimand. I'm old and smart enough to know not to shit where I eat or as wise men say, "dont ever bite the hands that feed you." Most of Serrano Vista leaders and service providers needs to focus on providing excellent customer service and not complaining about customer dissatisfaction with meal prepation or portions. The customer is not always right but I always do what is right to make sure the customer is satisfied so that they will let others know and attract others to my organization/practice. I wish I was raving about the good food this place serves and not the explicit biases that are negative and exist here. Some may ask, why go back there for so long, but I almost always activate my Survivorship bias. read more

It was OK. A lot of "perceived value" tricks to make simple food seem like more than it is, but in the end the food was relatively low quality and it was pretty expensive. Like serving a simple iceberg lettuce Caesar Salad in a big clam shell ceramic bowl, but it really is the same ingredients as one you would get from Trader Joe's. I got the Loco Moco. It was $28 and that's a lot for rice, hamburger patty, 1 egg, and gravy, and I guess they did put some kimchi on it to fancy it up, but those are all really simple, inexpensive ingredients. After all the flare, the taste was meh. The gravy was overly salty and the burger was overcooked. Our service was FANTASTIC! Lupe really took care of us. They have great service. The food quality and taste just wasn't there for me for the price. Go to the food court across the way and get a burger and onion rings for a fraction of the price. read more

My friend and I went to Serrano Vista Cafe on 2/22/26 and sat at the bar for dinner. We both ordered the ribeye dinner. My friend got her dinner and ate the whole dinner and when I inquired, they said it was the chefs mistake. The server forgot to put my order in and when talking to the manager, she did not offer a solution. I would not recommend nor would I return to that restaurant. read more

Made early walk in reservations at around 8pm for Dinner . Restaurant was half way empty on a Sunday night. Yet they gave us an 11:15pm reservation. We were patient and waited. We weren't informed until we sat down at 11:15 pm that dinner was not available and that only a breakfast menu was available. The waiter was condescending in our conversation for lack of explanation on services and menus at the front desk and once seated. I asked for the manager and she came out and tried to explain the situation. We come to the casino often and have only eaten here twice. Our most recent trip we opted to grab a bite here because The Pines didn't have any available reservations and honestly we're burnt out from the 909. We walked up and were sat down immediately. All of the staff was very nice. I ordered a tomato soup to start the flavor was great but it was too chunky for my liking almost like a marinara sauce. I ordered a California Club for my main. It was tasty! I like the thick cut bacon they put on it. I opted for truffle fries since they don't have garlic fries anymore. The server was nice and gave me a garlic sauce on the side that's used in a Mediterranean bowl and it was sooooo good. read more

We were celebrating our 26th anniversary and I wanted to make it a weekend of surprises so I planned a little of everything to please both of us. We started our weekend with a yummy breakfast at the Serrano Vista Cafe in Yaamava. I've been here a few times and am always pleased with the quality of the food and terrific service. I ordered my fave eggs benedict ordered with an overhard egg. My coffee snob husband enjoyed his coffee served with cubes of brown and white sugar. The 2 egg pancake breakfast had tasty pancakes. Unbeknownst to us, alcohol selling at the casino is controlled to avoid having intoxicated guests exit the property during school hours, but since we were visiting on a Saturday , we were able to enjoy a margarita flight that is charmingly presented with fresh flowers and salted/sugared rims:. I only come here via mobile order. I was ordering on my phone via qr code for me and my mom's dinner in the hotel room, they would send a text once it's been ordered and fulfilled. The wait was 20 minutes. I got a salad with a side of salmon, hummus platter, fried calamari, buffalo wings with ranch, and a reuben sandwich. The food was hot and fresh and I liked the majority of them. The baby gem lettuce salad was slightly bitter filled with sliced asparagus, toasted peptitas, and had a good amount of buttermilk herb dressing. The hummus ($18) was filled with freshly sliced bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, black and green olives, and roasted broccoli drizzled with olive oil. I wasn't given the naan but I didn't want to go back down twice to get it. The reuben sandwich ($18) was shared between us two and the fries were crispy. The pastrami was not too salty and they piled a good amount on the sandwich. It was not too soggy with the coleslaw, house sauce, and swiss cheese. The calamari ($17) came with fried anaheim peppers, a lemon wedge, and a remoulade sauce. The buffalo wings ($18) had a nice heat, with carrots and celery on the side. It was a bit too spicy for my mom but she liked it. My favorites were the hummus, calamari, and reuben sandwich. They did taste good the day after. Make sure you check the bags before you leave. The pick up area is located on the right side of the entrance. They did forget two entrees so I had to go back down to get it but they were quick to get them once I showed my text message with the food. read more

I am disappointed, I often stay in the hotel and spend time in the casino. Our servers have always been great at Serrano cafe. However the food remains inconsistent. According to Fernanda the pastrami was suppose to be generously made. So my husband and I decided to share it. When it came to the table it was not a generous portion. The table next to use received their pastrami and the bun was off to the side because it was so stuffed and over flowing with meat. The RUDEST hosts ever!!! If I could give 0 stars I would. I went up asking for a table and the 2 hosts ignored us. Then proceeded to sit a guy that came after us. Incredibly nice and helpful employees all but the fat old manager who hovers out of sight and peers around the corners spying on their great employees . Clean as a whistle, bathrooms are outside in the casino proper and are also squeaky clean and well stocked . Severely understaffed, one needs to make a reservation, they said 1 hour wait but I got lucky and was seated in 20 minutes . Maybe treat the employees better and they won't have such high turn over . We got invited to have dinner and first time dining here. Our server Muriela was very knowledgeable of how dishes are prepared. We got started with the crispy calamari rings as appetizers with special Mayo dipping sauce. The Calamari was seasoned well and very tender. I had the braised short rib platter with sides of mashed potato and veggies. The meat was very tender that it melted in my mouth. Hubby got the spaghetti with meat balls. 3 big round meatballs topped the pasta. Then a light meal for our friend who ordered just Clam chowder soup. Looks very creamy and ample of fillings. Presentation was so creative with a stick of bread on top of bowl. Restaurant's interior looks simple yet classy with high ceiling and large drop ceiling lighting fixtures. First time eating here. Had to make reservations, and thank God because lots of people were walking away after they were told how long the wait would be if they could get in at all. It was a concert night but i think this place gets packed almost every night. Having said that my wife and I shared the ribeye and it was amazing. Huge portion with a decent amount of vegis but surprisingly small amount of mashed potatoes. Funny because that is the cheapest item on the plate. We were plenty full and had planned on getting a dessert but decided not to because we were so full. The service is great and we definitely will come back. read more
