Took my daughter's Dodge in for an oil change. They called and said that the shocks and struts were "blown" and it would be around $2000.00 to do the repairs. Was also told that the vehicle was a safety hazard to be driven. Declined to have the repairs completed and they got snippy with me and said how important it was to get the repairs done. Picked up car with just the oil change and took vehicle to Dodge to have them look at what Service Street said was wrong. Picked up vehicle from the Dodge dealership and was told that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the struts and shocks. Will never take any of our 5 vehicles to this scamming company again. Would rather pay the dealership prices than have to deal with people who lie just to make a profit. read more

They "inspected" my car saying that I needed to change my power steering pump because it was broken and leaking making it seem if I didn't get this done then it would be dangerous for me to drive. So of course, I asked them to fix everything paid for it thinking my car would be A okay for the amount I paid. I was sadly mistaken.. They didn't fix my car but actually made it SO MUCH worse. Wouldn't even give them 1 star. We have had problems with them in the past with oil changes but kept giving them chances but this is unbelievable. After last oil change they said my husbands brakes were at a 3-4 and needed to be replaced soon. This was 2 months ago. We took the car to Hometown Tires whom we trust and have used for many different things. Would never let Service Street do brakes. They said brake pads were virtually brand new. At a 10! My husband called Service Street just to let the manager know who the tech was and what we were told. He defended the tech and then hung up on my husband who was very kind throughout the whole conversation. Will never go to any of their locations again. read more

DO NOT EVER take your car to any service street, especially not the southlands location. I took my car in for an oil change yesterday, I SPECIFICALLY asked them NOT to do anything with my car other than change the oil, check my tire pressure, and replace 2 stem caps. When i went to pick my car up they told me they went ahead and did an inspection on my car anyway, even though they were asked NOT to, and told me i need $3,000 worth of work on my car. The most expensive repair being my axle boot, and the only reason it needs to be replaced is because they took a flat head and hammered it into my hose. The best part? THEY DID NOT check my tire pressure or replace the stem caps. Thank you for the dishonest service and criminal acts. read more

They only plus is it was fast, but nore expensive because they use better oil. This shop has been getting worse every time we go in! Rude service, they left my truck unattended with the windows all the way down, and then was told "that's just what we do--you are the ONLY one that's complained." Called customer service and then the Regional Manager called me back. Only to for him to just end up saying "I completely understand why you got the service you did because you are have been completely unreasonable in the 20 minutes I've had to talk to you." Had my car brought in to get a fuel pump repaired. It went fine and I went to pick up the car. There was a new light (ABS) that was illuminated, so I inquired about it. The light was not on prior to my car failing to start, so I wanted to know why it was on now. I was told there was no way that it was the shop's fault by the store manager, Chris. While I was not satisfied with the answer Chris was respectful. I asked to speak to a regional manager and Adrian called me the next day. He continued to say there was no way that it was their fault, which could be true, but then continued to raise his voice, ask me to explain how it could happen, continually interrupt me, tell me to stop whining, and then hang up on me. How does a regional manager speak to a customer that way? I don't typically post reviews, but don't go to this shop. Maybe my ABS issue was just bad timing, but no regional manager should be yelling and hanging up on a customer. read more

Had struts replaced at this location. They did a poor job, my struts aren't aligned correctly. The worst part is they broke a coil wire mount, which caused electrical issues a couple weeks later. I took it back in to them to see if they would fix/replace the coil wire cover. They said they would but it's been 2 weeks and they are playing me by saying they'll order the part and install. But as of today they still haven't called me to schedule to part replacement. read more

My car was leaking transmission fluid in a big way. It was 6pm and saw Service Street was open. They close at 7pm. Zach and his guys got my car into the shop immediately, diagnosed the problem, went out and got the part and had my car fixed before 7pm. Zach showed me a tiny hole formed in a transmission hose. He also kept me apprised of everything that they were doing. He also applied a coupon to knock the price down. Excellent customer service and I couldn't have been happier. Alright! So. I used to go to service st and the workers used to be good. But Last time I went in for an oil change and tire rotation and they charged me 120 dollars!! That's fucking insane, excuse my French, but last oil change I went to a different shop to get my oil change, tires rotated, and put a new pair of tires on the front. I paid for the tires a few months prior and they took a couple of hours so they serviced me for free! SERVICE ST IS QUITE THE OPPOSITE. 120 dollars for oil and tire rotation. Y'all can suck my dick. Not only the price is bad but they were so rude to me. Charged me so much, treated me with disrespect, and when I asked for a military discount he tried to go past it and not add it on. I had to ask 3 times. Rude employees. Shitty service. Didn't leave happy. Not only did that happen but they texted me asking me to leave a review. Oh I'll leave a review. I went their to have them fix an exhsust manuflod leak. They qouted me 250ish. I had made an appt 4 days in advance. I dropped the Dodge 1500 off at 835am and told them i needed it back by 4pm to take my son to practice. They ended up charging me 800 I didnt get my truck back till 620pm due to not having the correct parts. As an added bonus my truck smelt like cigarettes for 2 days after the service. After filters and an engine flush that they insisted I needed, all told my bill was over $200! I've been going to Service Street for my oil changes, this time it was taking quite a bit longer than just being normal busy, I went to check in, and found out that they did not have my specific Cadillac oil filter in stock, but they were on the phone and finding it in minutes, and had it delivered right away, they were apologetic, and the manager went out of his way to makeup for the inconvenience. This was my first time here and they pulled up the carfax, entered in the work they did, and checked the rest of the work recently done to the manufacturers recommended services at my mileage. I hate giving reviews since everyone has a different perspective. However, today I must make an exception. I called to get a quote on replacing an alternator on my 1997 truck. I was told I needed to bring it in for diagnosing even though the battery light was on, the battery was discharging while running (after a full charge on the battery charger) and the tachometer read zero r.p.s. I had a quote from Chase Automotive (my go to service shop) for $300 but I wasn't sure I could get there. I took the truck in and was told the alternator was bad (well duh!) and it would cost $1100 to replace. HELL NO!!! As I retrieved my truck, the price went down to $700. So I replaced it myself... cost of alternator from Advanced Auto Parts $144. Time: 38 minutes to remove the old alternator and 45 minutes to put in the new one (I'm a retired accountant). In conclusion: I didn't trust these guys and saved myself around $1000. read more

Brought it in and was told it was not good towards the oil change I wanted. When I got home I looked at the whole mailing and found no exclusions so the rep was not honest with me. I have been warned about this shop by others who have gone there and must agree that this shop does not appear to be honest in their dealings with customers. I went to this business to have my oil changed, I purchased their 5 pack oil change program. I wanted my oil changed and a tire rotation. I left my car and came back about 3 hours later. When I was charged I thought everything was o.k. but couldn't find on my invoice that my tires had been rotated. I then asked the person that was running my credit card if they had been rotated and he replied yes. I then returned home and went over my receipt again with no acknowledgment of a tire rotation. I then called and spoke to the manager, Chris Smith. I told Chris that anytime I ever had a tire rotation even when it was free it is always documented on the receipt. Chris didn't want to hear what I said and just kept saying it must have been done because it is included in the 5 pack that I paid for. I then asked him if that is true then why was everything else listed on my paperwork but not the tire rotation. He just kept arguing with me. I told him I just wanted my money back. Their also was a burning smell that I told them back that wasn't their until I drove it home from the shop. They pulled it into the sho p to check it out while I was at the counter. I noticed after Chris and I had been going back in forth he went out to the shop slammed my hood and door shut and had no information for me. He just went into his office and had someone else deal with me. He also had stated he would give me my oil change for free but still had to charge me for my tire rotation because he couldn't remove it from my bill. However that changed when he came back from the garage. He told the employee to charge me 36.00 for the oil change and another 10.00 for the tire rotation (The tire rotation that wasn't on my bill). I then made a comment that their was a large banner on the side of their building that said oil changes 24.95. They then reduced it to that price. I was not able to walk out with any paper work they said corporate would have to refund the difference. Just as a note. While this was going on and the guy's went out to the garage the man next to me that had heard my complaints told me of his problem. He said he had been in their for an oil change earlier and after getting home had noticed that the sticker they put on your windshield wasn't their. He then checked the dip stick and the oil color was black/dirty. He had to come back to get his oil changed for real this time and like me would never go back. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. THEY UPCHARGE BY 120%. Went in for an ac recharge, which was never even done. They went on to remove my radiator hose to show me it was leaking, I told them I didn't want to pay for it right there and then so they put it back in and charged me $300 for 5 minutes of labor, for something I didn't even ask them to do. Tried charging me $500 for a $11 piece that took me 5 minutes to put in myself. Lied to me and told me my car was done for, when all I needed was simple fixes. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF! Later found out that I was intentionally upcharged by Chris, because he didn't like someone I was associated with. Absolutely shocked at how I was treated there, and this place is a disgrace for up charging people the way that they do. Chris should be fired immediately for his extremely unprofessional approach. If I could give a "zero" rating, I would. I got an oil change coupon from Service Street in the mail. They are near my home I thought I'd give them a try. I made a 2:00 appointment online and received an email confirming the appointment. At the appointed time, I walk in and shared my name and that I have a 2:00 appointment for an oil change. The gentleman behind the counter tells me "unfortunately, the computer double-booked this time slot." Of course, no one notified me via phone or text (they had my mobile #, as I entered it when I made the online appointment), or via email. The gentleman asked if I was going to drop it off, or if I was going to wait on it. I stated that I would be waiting on it (also info that I included when I made the online appointment). He then stated that "it will be about an hour-and-a-half wait until we can get to it. Do you want to keep the appointment, or cancel it?" I said "cancel" and walked out. Needless to say, I won't be patronizing this garage in the future. They had an opportunity to gain a customer, for something as basic as an oil change, and they lost my business in less than 60 seconds. read more

We've been taking our vehicles to this Service Street for the past couple years and have always been pleased with the service. The employees are super friendly and helpful. Despite not always understanding the mechanics of issues with our cars, I never feel like I'm being talked down to or made fun of. Their 5 packs for oil changes are a great price; especially since if there is an issue with a car, they can fix it right there. And if it takes longer than you want to wait there, Southlands Mall is right there to hang out at or Service Street will get you a ride back to your home. Wish I would've read the reviews before taking my car in. I called for an oil change appointment and the guy said now was a good time to bring it in. Got there and it was a 1.5 hour wait. 2 hours later they told us the "coolant was low" and gave a list of all the things they wanted to repair including replacing a hose that wasn't even cracked or damage. Then they wanted to flush our radiator because they use a "universal coolant" and they don't want to mix the coolants (which I get). All of this to the tune of $655. After getting a second opinion from another mechanic who didn't seem to understand why they wanted to replace the hose when it wasn't damaged, I pressed them for more answers on why they just couldn't tighten the clamp, especially if the hose wasn't damaged. The guy's response was "well we could... but we couldn't warranty it." So i told him to just tighten the clamp and I'll check my dealership to find out what coolant they used and fill it myself. When I told him to skip replacing the hose, clamps, and radiator flush, he became irritable. I would only bring your car here if you are in a real bind and even then... do your homework and get a second opinion. Glad I got a second opinion before I was bamboozled out of several hundred dollars for work that didn't really need to be done. read more

I have 2 high mileage vehicles that I take to Service Street in Aurora. They do a great job in servicing them both. Most recently I took both vehicles in for a routine oil change. They called to discuss the recommended services by Ford which I had not thought about. They explained what was needed and explained the charges to me in the level of detail I requested. That showed me they understand what they are talking about. I cannot express enough how the complementary shuttles helps me out also. They get quite busy on the weekends and being able to go home helps a lot. They also have had both vehicles ready when they said they would as well. Great job team! read more

Service Street is only good for their oil changes, but other than that they are petty liars. This place has earned a deep distrust from me to say the least. Brought my Jeep Grand Cherokee in for an oil change which I do every 3k miles, and was further told I had a few major parts broken that needed to be replaced, which I was hesitant at first to believe since the car has been driving fine and I only noticed a small issue with the alignment. They wanted to charge me more than $900 just in labor to replace a loose bushing in my front differential!!! Even the General Manager of the store came out and told me he would match anyone's prices but that, "They were giving me a generous price and I NEEDED to get the car fixed before it left me dead". I decided to get a second estimate before I pulled the trigger on a $5200 maintenance bill from Service Street, and luckily I was able to find a local shop in Parker that is going to fix the car for less than $2500. I will never bring my car here again and they were extremely rude when I was not willing to get the car fixed there on the spot. Where is the 0 star rating? read more
