Yes, I've had sweeter lobsters in Maine, but this offering was still solid. The lobsters were cooked really nicely, as it wasn't overcooked and stringy. The corn that came was only okay, as my partner's corn was pretty inedible. However, mine was passable. The red bliss potato salad was excellent, with a lovely subtle mustard flavor. The steamers are fresh and large. You'll need the clam broth, because the clams are sandy. However, they're flavorful and briny. There's only outside seating, so bring bug repellent or else you'll have lots of guests around you for dinner. BYOB and cash only. read more

Ordering was easy and efficient!! Food was delivered to your table in the outside dining area. My friend had "the biggest and most delicious lobster roll" she had ever had!! I had the Cape Cod Reuben which was also generous and delicious!! Perhaps one of the best seafood spots you will ever find on the Cape! We visited Sesuit Harbor Cafe while on the Cape for a weekend soccer tournament and this place did not disappoint. Though the parking lot sparked a bit of fear that lines would be long, the line moved rather quickly as we made our way to the counter. The only downside of the restaurant is that it is cash only and though there is an ATM right next to the counter complete with a less than friendly service charge in this day in age it would be nice to grab a digital POS and save customers the hassle. We ordered lobster rolls which, hands down, were some of the finest that we've ever had. Absolutely stuffed with fresh lobster meat, the lobster roll was a fork and knife short of sandwich and did not disappoint. The kids opted for the fish and chips which featured perfectly battered, flaky white fish and delicious fries. While waiting for the main course, we did opt to grab some oysters and shrimp cocktail from the raw bar where a nice variety of raw bar items were offered. The oysters were fresh as can be and the shrimp cocktail were plump and enjoyed by all. The restaurant is situated right on an inlet and is a great spot to sit outside and enjoy a great meal. Plenty of diners took advantage of the BYOB nature of the spot and enjoyed the quality food, waterside dining and nice weather the day we were there. Went here for lunch on a recommendation from my daughters. It was written up as a premier spot for a lobster roll. So yes, I spent part of my children's inheritance there for lunch. THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CASH ONLY, SO BRING LOTS OF CASH! ALSO IT IS A BYOB RESTAURANT. GOOD THING BECAUSE IF YOU ADDED DRINKS, YOU MIGHT NEED TO ADD A SECOND MORTGAGE ON YOUR HOUSE TO PAY FOR LUNCH. They have a unique way of receiving your order. You stand in line and eventually end up at a counter where you place your order, pay. Then you venture outside to picnic tables. They bring your food to you after you acknowledge the shouting of your assigned ticket number. There are actually two different lines, the one I spoke of above and another at a raw bar, if you wanted oysters or bisque. The lobster rolls were very good and to be specific you really need a bigger roll to handle all of the lobster (claw only meat) that is provided. It's dressed well, not drowning in mayo. Just enough to add a bit of fat to the succulent lobster. It comes with fries and a small container of Cole slaw. I also couldn't pass up getting a cup of bisque and a half portion of fried whole belly clams. They are both a childhood favorite of mine and these did not disappoint. The biggest disappointment for me was that you weren't allowed to open the table umbrellas. They said because of the wind. Which was non-existent. The sun was very hot and made it extremely uncomfortable to sit and enjoy this wonderful lunch. They do have an ATM for those unaware that they are cash only and sell non-alcoholic beverages. It's very worth the special occasion lunch. You or at least I couldn't afford a $35 dollar sandwich or $17 plate of clams too often. read more

This is as good as it gets for an outdoor, casual seafood joint. There's nothing fancy about the Sesuit Harbor Cafe. Nothing. But damn the food is terrific! This place is all about the delicious, fresh seafood. We had the swordfish tips which were amazing. Also had the fried oysters which were incredible. These were large, succulent oysters. And a lot of them! I ordered the large size. Save a few bucks and get the regular size, it's going to be enough. Or split a large. Check your expectations for fancy in the gravel parking lot and have some great seafood! I did notice some people bringing coolers with drinks in them. Possibly right off their boat. We look forward to our annual dinner here but this year disappointed. My husband ordered the lobster bisque and couldn't eat it. Holy WOW we may have just found our top lobster roll on Cape Cod! We've been visiting the Cape for too many years to count but on recent trips, I've been making a point to try new places when and up popped Sesuit Harbor Cafe. With loads of 5-star reviews I had high hopes. And yes, they lived up to them. This spot is cash only but they have an ATM out front. I was worried about long lines, but since we visited in May there was barely a wait. Their famous lobster roll is served cold (when I typically prefer hot) but this was incredible. The lobster to mayo ratio was perfect - not fishy, not drenched, and more of a "chicken salad" vibe but with lobster. I loved it! The bun was perfectly toasted and soft. Ugh, I'm still drooling over it! The clam chowder we also ordered was very good! Loved that the lobster roll came with both coleslaw and fries for the price. We made the mistake of going to Sesuit Harbor Café on a holiday weekend, albeit a cloudy and rainy one for an end of season lobster roll. It was stinkin' mobbed, but a great view and the people watching was fun! We have been here a dozen or more times and always enjoyed the lobster roll so we braved the crowd. What a disappointment! When I got my ($35.99) lobster roll, slaw and fries delivered to me it was so badly plated and in such a slapdash manner that really was a shame. I'm going to give them credit for lobster rolls in the past that were terrific, but not this one. The lobster salad was just plunked down with an ice cream scoop on a piece of greenleaf lettuce on one half of a barely toasted and unbuttered roll and the slaw was tipped over soaking the fries and the roll with coleslaw juice. We dine at Sesuit Harbor each visit to the Cape. The line is long but we enjoy the experience and the food. Parking is easy as they have sufficient attendants directing you to open spots. Counter service ordering is easy and friendly. My only negative is when we were eating a server wanted to close our umbrella over our heads in the middle of our meal. I said absolutely not as all the umbrella dirt would fall into our food. Young person so I am sure that isn't expected from management. Once you order, the food is quick to come out. A last-minute change in Father's Day plans brought us here for a late lunch/early dinner. It was a first visit for all five people (and one dog) in our party, but it came highly recommended. We were a little unprepared for the chaos that comes with the place; parking is a challenge and may the odds be ever in your favor when looking for a place to sit, but we figured it out. Menu was a little confusing in that the paper version showed what was available only for lunch and the online version apparently did not, so the teenager was disappointed to find that he couldn't get a BLT (though he would have found something else to sulk at regardless!). Everyone else had an easy time choosing. Many of the dinners come in full or half plates. I got the half plate of fried scallops, which came with fries and coleslaw. They were delicious--perfectly fried, sweet, not at all greasy, and plenty to fill me up on the smaller serving! The kid ended up with fish and chips, which was also delicious. My husband and father-in-law both got the baked haddock, which they enjoyed. Both plates were empty! My mother-in-law went with the Lobster Savannah, which wasn't what she expected. This is the coolest place. It's not something someone would find just driving by. It's only open in the summer because there is no indoor eating. You eat at picnic tables that sit right above the harbor and you can watch boats coming into and out of the marina. Awesome view. You go inside to order and they bring your food to you outside. You order hot food at one counter and pastries at another. They have an extensive omelette menu. The food was tasty and delivery was fast. The potatoes on our meals tasted good but were over salted. We did try a blueberry scone and it was just ok, but our friends said it didn't look like what they normally look like. Definitely ready to visit here again any time we get the chance. read more
