The food is not good enough for what it costs. The service was deplorable. Myself and my neighbors went there last night because Ramen & Sushi were closed. We were not greeted at all. We had to seat ourselves after being purposely ignored. The waiter and hostess bypassed us entirely. I got the feeling that perhaps there was a racial tension here. When we had enough of waiting and got up to leave, the waitress came and feigned concern. But the damage had already been done. They were rude and unwelcoming. I felt like they were happy to see us go. It's odd cuz the first time I was semi dragged into that place by neighbors, I tipped that waiter more than generously. Apparently outstanding tips don't matter here. Shocking. Also the food was not worth the costs. The fish was good but then fish is super easy to prepare. No puzzle there. The bread was dry and they brought us a plate of lettuce that they called a salad. Also you're expected to eat pasta with every entree. Not a completely foreign idea, only it tasted like tomato sauce & water. I remember comparing it to chef boy ardee.. Maybe reheated from frozen. The waiter forgot my tea continually. . Good thing I always carry Fuji water. Yeah I'm gonna be honest about this place. I would not ever recommend it and I'll never go back there again. The ambience here was nothing to write home about either . There's so many other eateries who are happy to accommodate paying, frequent customer's . I guess Sette isn't one of them. Had lunch here today with a friend celebrating both of our birthdays! It's very comfortable inside - nice decor and there is outdoor seating although today would not be a day to be outside because of the rain but on a nice day that would be great. The food was excellent they have lunch portions available and you can have a nice salad with it. It took a while to get our food but I think that they are making everything fresh... I wish I could leave 4.5 stars as I only have one complaint. The inside dining is great and staff is very friendly. The dishes I've tried over the last few visits are so delicious and flavorful. I love the fresh pasta at it leaves you not bloating afterwards like store bought noodles would. I wish the sette salad was either a little less expensive or larger as I can't justify the price though it's so tasty I order it every time. I only complaint is that the pastas seem to be salted very heavily, very. After my first experience I've had to request minimal salt on my dishes just for it to contain a standard level to saltiness. The first time we came, though the dishes were delicious they were hard to finish in one sitting due to how salty they were. With my request each time now, they come out perfect. I have seen this complaint over multiple reviews as well so hopefully it will be addressed. read more

We had a delicious dinner with friends. We ate family style so we could try many of the dishes. They were all amazing !! It's hard to choose a favorite but we all thought the filet with risotto , the halibut picatta and the raviolis were the standouts. For starters the mushroom soup was a standout. Awesome new local Italian eatery!! We started with the Caesar salad which was fresh, crisp, light and brought plenty of the traditional Caesar flavor. The house made pastas are top notch, and beef short ribs were excellent. Wine selection was adequate with plenty of nice choices. Our server Dale was excellent in all respects! This restaurant has been open for a year now, so I was hoping for a smooth dining experience. I had made a reservation for Saturday night and we arrived about 5 minutes early. When we went to check in, the host could not find our reservation. He asked to see our confirmation and I showed him the email and text confirmation. He brought over a co-worker and still couldn't find it. So he asked if we would sit at the bar. I asked why, when we clearly reserved a table. Then they finally seated us. Me and my husband ordered the Chicken Parmesan, but his was with the Arribata sauce. They brought both with the regular sauce. When we told the waitress, she just brought a refrigerated cup of Arribata sauce to put on top of his entree. The food was mediocre. The restaurant was very bright and the rock music was loud. Maybe just bad acoustics? Not a very warm or inviting ambiance. Overall, not a great experience. We will not be recommending this restaurant to our friends or co-workers. read more

Dined at Sette twice. Service was good & atmosphere was light and airy. It's hard to find really good pesto, and Sette knocked it out of the park both times. Second time I asked for fettuccine pasta instead of the casarecce pasta specified on the menu. The fettuccine noodles are a bit lighter and took the dish up notch in my opinion. The pesto at Sette is subtly wonderful, and it was easier to enjoy the smooth basil flavor. My wife had the lasagne and said it was the best she has ever had. This is a great new Italian restaurant very close to folsom. Their house made pasta is very good and definitely a notch above other Italian restaurants and chains. Their wine collection is also very good and we loved the service that was prompt and courteous. They took note of allergies in our party and made sure to avoid nuts in our food. Best pasta I've had in the greater Sacramento area. Closest you'll find to Italy/New York style pasta. Great service too. Ive attached photos of the spaghetti and the lasagna. Best food I've had outside of Italy. We went for an early dinner on a Friday night and tried several dishes. The meatballs were amazing. The lasagna was delicious and the shrimp scampi was light, lemony and cooked to perfection. The homemade pasta was really good. And their homemade focaccia bread is so good. We went back the next day for lunch and tried the pizza and meatball sandwich. Amazing food and their staff and Owner/Chef Paul are all friendly and provide excellent service. read more

Just had dinner at this fabulous new Italian restaurant in Granite Bay. The staff is warm and welcoming. The atmosphere relaxed and pleasant. And the food was outstanding. We had an appetizer of their version of bruschetta. Served on focaccia bread with halved cherry tomatoes and a balsamic vinegar glaze that was delicious. We ordered the lasagna and spaghetti pomodoro both of which were quite tasty. We finished it off with strawberry swirl gelato that was refreshing and sweet. My wife had a glass of the Sonoma Cutrer Chardonnay that she found quite tasty. They only been open a short time and it was great. Can't wait to try them again when they have even more seasoning so to speak. Definitely worth trying. read more

Also we enjoyed their focaccia bread board and the fun, unique dips to accompany it. Another cool feature is the complimentary still or sparkling water that is left table side with refills freely given. Super cool local spot. Found this place online, just looking for a date spot. Easy to make reservations. Very glad we did, as it was very popular. Started with the focaccia flight. Very light and cool idea. Drinks and wine were excellent. We had the pepperoni, jalapeño, feta, hot honey pizza and the halibut with homemade pasta. Both were excellent! Well, they've only been open for two weeks but they have a way to go to earn a higher rating. My wife had the halibut with pasta and capers for $42. The halibut was undercooked but fresh. The pasta was basically tasteless with the capers underneath the pasta and thus, it appeared as if they were underserved. I had the Caesar Salad which had too much dressing and the croutons were like wood, difficult to bite through, frankly, hard like jawbreakers. This was followed by the pasta. The pasta was good but the sauce which gives the pasta flavor, virtually nonexistent. Service by Dale was excellent. The help staff also very attentive. We definitely want this restaurant to succeed but the food must get a lot better. Finally, the halibut was listed as $42, but we were charged $45. This should never happen. Paul, the Executive Chef made an adjustment to help assuage our feelings. read more

This meal was somewhat of a mixed bag. The Meatball appetizer and Caesar Salad were among the best we've had. However, 2 of the 3 main pasta dishes missed the mark. Unfortunately the Fettuccini Alfredo was bland. More cream, garlic, and salt could have done the trick. Another shortcoming on our main dishes was the Spaghetti & Meatballs. Given the superb appetizer, our friend was excited for this dish but the noodles clumped together a bit too much and possessed more of a ramen-like texture. The 3rd dish, Lasagna was on point and enjoyed by all. Service was pleasant and we appreciated the owner serving each table. Overall, we hope they work out the kinks and understand the menu has been under evaluation since opening. It would be nice to come back, although it's notable that missing on 2 of the 3 entrees leaves more to be desired. read more
