Great food, great service and it was very fast! So many food options! Bummer it closes at 2:00 but way worth it for brunch!

I "was" a regular customer and, I hate to do it but I tried twice to rectify my issue once with my waitress and once by phone by asking for a manager. I find it rude to ask "what is it concerning?" when a customer asks for a manager. I ordered the gravy train and you would think for $14, asking for a little more gravy for my dry biscuits would be no big deal. Instead, I was charged $5 for a side. I know it's a small thing, but after an $80 breakfast tab for 3, it just rubbed me wrong. I mentioned it to my waitress and was told that's what the kitchen does. They just nickel and dime you for every little substitution as well. My family had a really nice experience here on our way back to OKC from a weekend trip. Our server was very attentive and the food was great. The biscuit sandwiches were enough for my mom and brother to share for breakfast. The screen in our dining room with all of the rotating dishes really made everything look so tempting. This place is an unpolished gem. Questionable from the street but zero inclusions once you open the door. The hostess had just walked off to seat some and a waitress promptly greeted me and started to seat me until the host was able to return. SOMETHING YOU DON'T SEE TODAY. I was sat in Nathan's area. Great server and very observant. Wasn't hovering and interrupting but I could see him spying to make sure I was taken care of. His knowledge of the menu was welcomed and his recommendation was amazing. If you are in the area this is a must try. Thank you! Oh and the COFFEE ! Outstanding! I love this place so much! I am always craving their scrambled eggs. The chicken and waffles are delicious, they're supposed to be sriracha fried chicken but the spice could be upped, otherwise delicious. I absolutely love Seven Mile Cafe. We went the Saturday before Mother's Day and knew that we would have a long wait. We got on the waitlist at 11:15 and waited until 2pm to be seated. That was ok - we knew what to expect there. By 2pm the restaurant was not as busy, but still our wait for our order was extremely slow! I think the waitress was afraid of how we would respond- so she didn't come around much before the meal to give updates. Great breakfast place in Denton! Packed on the weekends so plan ahead. We've had many things on the menu and they're all great except the crabcakes Benedict, which is mushy, doughy and has no visible lump crab in it. If there is more than a tablespoon of breadcrumbs in a crabcake you're doing it wrong. read more

What an excellent brunch place, super friendly staff but make sure you get on the wait list, it can be busy. The menu is great, mexican style breakfast, belgian waffles, pancakes, and tons of vegan/vegetarian options. While i was here, i listened to what a bunch of people were ordering and the primary questions were if the foods had vegan options, answer was always yes. Great interior decoration, great coffee, i got the "vigas" which is vegan Migas, tofu scramble with lots of spicy stuff and beans. Had to order meatless spicy sausage on the side. Lynette and I are at the Seven Mile Cafe in Denton, Texas.   For those who are unfamiliar,  Denton is a fast growing community north of both Dallas and Ft Worth.  It's the home of not one, but 2 major universities, Texas Woman's University and the University of North Texas.  The atmosphere of Seven Mile Cafe appears very upscale, while at the same time exuding all the funkyness you'd expect in a university town.  The service was very friendly and I appreciated the fact that you can put your name on the waiting list online before you even arrive.  It even let me know where on the waiting list I was and how long of a wait it would be.  The menu is several pages long.  Where most brunch places offer coffee, Seven Mile has a coffee bar that would easily rival Starbucks in choices and quality.  Speaking of bars, if you are dining alone or just don't want to wait for a table, you can also just take a seat at the coffee bar.  They have outside patio dining as well as 2 floors of inside dining room space.  This place is very large.  It's very nicely decorated and pays homage to the two local universities without resorting to nicnacs and memorabilia.  The food came out without much of a wait.  While I thought the prices were on the steep side, the portion sizes for the pancakes at least, were quite plentiful.  We had more than enough.  The food was delicious with a nice melding of flavors.  I honestly can't remember if there was any background music, but I do know that the atmosphere lent itself to conversation without having to compete with a lot of noise.  While the prices might keep me from making this a regular brunch place, the food and atmosphere will assure that I will be back. read more

We went to this cafe because it was close to our hotel, but we'll be back for breakfast whenever we're in town. What a great find. Bright, inviting interior and friendly staff are a great way to start off a morning. The menu includes all your favorite breakfast items, but prepared in unique and delicious ways. And the portions do not disappoint. My friend got the chicken and waffles, and it may well have been enough to feed at least two people. She was happy to take a doggie bag home. I had a breakfast taco that was actually more of a burrito...on a grand scale. I've already recommended it to family and friends. Add this place to your list when you're in Denton. read more

This place is good for sweets and coffee only. My eggs were over done. I asked for over easy I got over hard. My brother got the monte cristo and it was so soggy and greasy. I wanted to get a coffee to go but the waitress came by with the check without even asking. Disappointed with this visit. read more

Five of us went to breakfast today, Sunday, at 9:40 am. Incredibly efficient host/hostesses got us to our table where we met Faith, our waitress. OMG! Such a great lady. Funny, gracious, bubbly. I had eggs Benedict....& the egg were cooked through...nothing runny...the hashbrowns barely cooked...not even cooked through...they were mushy... My hunny had the hamburger, and it was so dry he had to add a lot of ketchup to eat it..... Let me start by saying, the food here is subpar and overpriced. The service we had today was good, she had helped us quite a bit. But the mimosa was small, overpriced and the OJ tasted old. We had a broken plate for our breakfast, literally cracked down the middle. We ordered the farmhouse sandwich and literally every breakfast place i've been to you can substitute out your eggs, but here you can only get the scrambled. The hash browns were super mushy. I have been here a few times before and this was never an issue and quite frankly nothing else on the menu looks good to me.
