Absolutely LOVE this place!!! All of their food is good. I went this past Saturday for brunch. I was disappointed that they don't serve lunch items until 11, but they have a huge menu!....So many good options. This time I shared the egg cheese bacon biscuits and hash browns with my boyfriend. He also got a Texas size pecan pumpkin spice pancake. The plate was huge and one meal was definitely enough for two people. Staff is super friendly. The decor is cute. They have cool facts and funny jokes on the TV screens by the door. The restaurant fills up fast on the weekend, so I recommend to go as early as possible if you do not want a wait. I wish we had one of these closer to Allen/Plano area. read more

I was not impressed. I ordered the garden scramble with a side of avocado and an iced lavender latte. The eggs were not cooked all the way. The whites were slimy, the bread which is advertised as "sourdough bread" tasted like just plain white bread. Then half my plate was hash browns that looked like they come from a bag. It would be ok if the price point wasn't $18. I felt extremely disappointed for what I got versus what I paid for. Then I got avocado on the side .. which was equivalent to 1/4 of a whole avocado and it was $2. My latte was also tasted watered down and again a disappointment especially considering it was $6. Honestly the whole experience ruined my day. I wish I could have gotten my money back and just went somewhere else. I didn't even eat the rest of the food I ended up taking with me (shown in the box) which was most of my food. read more

Let me start by saying I'll definitely be back!! I was searching for breakfast spots in Denton and came across Seven Mile Cafe. The family agreed to try it off, so we headed there. I kept checking the waiting list on our way there, and thankfully, there was no wait when we arrived. We were seated immediately. You have to scan the QRCODE to view the menu, but the kids' menu was on paper with activities. Our server came a few minutes later and took our drink orders - milk, chocolate milk, and a latte for me!! Several minutes later, we ordered our food. I had the grits entree with bacon & sausage on it, daughter had Cinnamon Roll pancakes with side of hashbrowns, hubby got the trio of pancakes, and son got the kid's breakfast with eggs, bacon, and Cinnamon roll. I love pancakes and their pancake trilogy is about my favorite because you get to sample 3 different flavor options. Trust me, it is too hard to pick just one. The gravy train is a meal a lumberjack would even be satisfied by! Big fluffy biscuits with gravy , a couple eggs, and heaping mound of hash browns! This has become my favorite breakfast restaurant in Denton. The restaurant has nice decor, not too much and not too little. It's always clean and I like that the tables aren't jammed too close to other tables, you can have a private conversation without having people right next to you. They have something for everyone, even good food options for vegetarian and vegans. I like that you can sub out most of the meat options for a vegan option, even the cheese. The presentation of the dishes is excellent. Most of the dishes have wonderful colors and also great flavor. I've tried a couple of their vegetarian options on my trip here so far. Vigas (tofu scramble with blacked beans on side and tortillas) was really good. I loved the colors as well. It comes with a salsa and a green chili based salsa as well. The Congress Street Benny is also very good and one of my favorites. The sourdough biscuit is very good and the combination of grilled tofu and tomatoes and the chipotle sauce is a great combination. Service has been outstanding on our visits. The parking lot tends to get full during peak time on weekends so if you can avoid the peak it makes it easier. Lots of people park by the street. You can also checkin via Yelp which very few seem to do but saves a lot of frustration if you go at peak time. read more

We waited over an hour for our food to arrive after placing order. Many tables filled after we arrived, placed their order, got their food, and left before we were served. After waiting the first 45 minutes, a customer came in, placed order and was served their food within 10 minutes, but it appeared they were friends of the bartender. To compensate such incredibly bad service, the manager took 1 cup of coffee of the check. We waited for our food three times as long as it took to eat our lunch. Only went back to Seven Mile a second time because they could address our house guest's dietary needs. read more

My daughter goes to University of North Texas and we brought her to breakfast before we left for home. We found this place because it's close to the campus and there was hardly no wait. We were able to put our name on a waiting list which was great. It's a simple down home cozy feel which we loved. Our waitress was very cheerful. Donna, our server was so sweet and helpful with everything! Great server ! we had the gravy train with poached eggs and two breaky burgers that came with hollandaise that was to die for ! Better believe I stole some from my bfs plate and put it on my poached eggs ‍ the ambiance was beautiful and very spacey I think for how busy it was in there ! I've been eating here for over 10 years, and I no longer eat here because the quality has gone down drastically as they have expanded and opened new locations. Whatever oil they use to cook their food in now is so heavy you can taste it, it just doesn't taste good, all food items are so greasy now. It's gotten more expensive over the years which would be fine if the quality was good but it isn't. I get either eggs, hashbrowns, pancakes, buiscut, migas plate, benedict's. This used to be my favorite breakfast place but anytime i've eaten here in the past 3 years it tastes nasty every time, lacking flavor, doesn't taste fresh. I miss what their food used to be.. You can get better quality for cheaper anywhere else read more
