Catelyn is absolutely phenomenal and she took perfect care of our group of 5 on today! She was very knowledgeable of the menu, patient, and full of energy. You immediately knew that she loves her job! The French Toast was absolutely SCRUMPTIOUS and my cocoa was too pretty to drink! The gouda grits, eggs, and chicken sausage was tender & flavorful. The biscuits & gravy, hashbrowns, jumbo pancakes, and crabcakes were perfectly prepared! Coupled with great service, this delicious establishment is a staple in Mesquite for brunch! Thank you 7 Mile! They really need to get their "to go" business together. I was so excited for this place to open, because it's truly one of the only places in the area with vegan options. This is now my 3rd pick up order and it's now 25 minutes past the pick up time, and no sign of it. The first time was 45 minutes past the pick up time (this was a couple weeks after opening so I was trying to give grace) and the second order was about 25 minutes past the pick up time. And, I'm not talking about past the time ordered. I am talking about the time the time to pick it up after I place the order (from their website). Their response all three times has been "well, yeah, we are busy". Such a bummer. read more

Came on a Sunday afternoon, wait time was understandable due to it being a Sunday. As soon as we sat down we had a wonderful server named Yolanda. She was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed as we ate. The reason why I am rating this spot a 4 is because food took almost 30 min to come out after the Sunday rush was over. It was a bit annoying but we understood that Yolanda couldn't control how fast our food could come out. This new cafe is a great addition in Mesquite. It opens for breakfast and lunch. We ate there the other day and got great service, delicious food and a nice, comfortable atmosphere. It was a little pricey but it was good. I had a burger that came undressed, I tried it without condiments and ate it that way. It was very, very tasty, no need for mustard or mayonnaise. My wife had eggs Benedict with avocado, it was delicious. I will certainly be back. read more

Zero stars if I could. I heard so many great things about this place and I am VEGAN (no meat, dairy, eggs) so I was so excited to try because they had a ton of vegan options. I was so ready to give a 5 star review. Waitress was nice, but oh my god half way through eating my "Vigas" I saw little pieces of ham and bacon in my food. I so am disgusted. Don't create a menu that's basically 50% vegan and then somehow cross contaminate! It's irresponsible. My entire day was ruined and I am filled with so much guilt. I hope to god what I ate was JUST Egg (vegan brand) and VioLife cheese at least. Just really really hurt by what happened. We walked out before the manager could talk to us because they were taking so long and I needed to go. People eat vegan food for a variety of reasons: ethical, health, environment - whatever the reason, if you're going to have vegan options on the menu, you need to be more mindful of how the food is cooked in your kitchen. I know more can't be done and life goes on, thankfully we didn't have to pay for this mistake. My boyfriend also found bacon in his "Vegan Jo's Breakfast Tacos". Do better. read more

Nice ambiance. We came when it was busy. The hostess told us 15mins wait, we expected it to be quick since there were tons of open table. She was taking her sweet time seating people. She finally walked around and discovered that there was 4 open tables in the back open. I believe she would of known if she had her head piece in her ear like her manager told her to put it on. We were seated and she gave us 2 menus when there is 3 of us. After we were seated, service was awesome our server Aaron was very assertive and provided great customer service. Pros: The environment of this place is really cool. My seven mile latte was really good. The food was okay. We had the 1 coffee, 1 hot chocolate, 1 coke, 1 chocolate chip pancake, 1 Belgium waffle PLAIN, chicken club tacos and the gravy train (biscuits and gravy). This place is VERY overpriced.. kids hot chocolate is $4 and half the mug was whip cream. a plain waffle average sized is $12. compared to a huge chocolate chip pancake that costs $6.50.. math is not mathing. My total was $80. Could've gotten the same quality food for half the price at the garland cafe. read more

Went to eat here with my family and to say the very least the food was horrendous and the service and wait even worse. First off I live in Mesquite and I usually go to Cracker Barrell but decides to eat here cause it was new. I would say something about the food if I really had a chance to eat. My entire experience was ruined cause we waited for an hour for our food to finally arrive and when it did it was nothing short of thrown together and all of it was cold. Between 4 of us the bill was over 100 for this crap. Won't be going back. They won't last in Mesquite at all w terrible service and on top of that terrible food. Went there for breakfast with my girlfriend the day after Christmas. It's where the Zenna used to be. It's very pretty and boho farmhouse inspired. The wait wasn't long, 15 minutes compared to other breakfast / brunch places in the area. That's a plus for me! The staff is just getting into their groove, you can tell as they just opened on the 20th. Give them patience. The food was good. I got the farmhouse biscuit sandwich with a side of gravy. And the biscuits needed that gravy! They were so thick. My girlfriend enjoyed her California benny. She just wished her hash browns were a bit crispier. My one and only complaint is the sitting in the center of the restaurant is too crowed. Tables are long and awkward. Keep those tables for the bigger parties. Tables for two should have more intimate seating. Overall we had a pleasant experience and we will definitely be back to try out the whole menu! Mesquite needs more places like this. read more

Never coming back to this place. Food was mediocre. Maybe a little less depending on preference. Food was definitely way over priced. 20 dollars for chicken and waffles... 3 strips and one medium sized waffle. Chicken was weird and not crispy. Waffle had a weird taste as well. Matter of fact all the food had a taste that wasn't too appetizing. Nutella hot chocolate wasn't too bad but was definitely packet hot chocolate with water. The only good thing about this place was the service. Our waitress was sweet and attentive. This cafe just didn't have anything special about it .
