The Smokin' Oak makes its mac from scratch using a family recipe from Tyler, Texas, and their BBQ is Central Texas style, with their meats smoked over Oregon white oak. I had clearly stated my order twice because I had heard that orders could sometimes be mixed up at this location, yet I was still told that the fries were never entered and was even asked to pay for them again, despite already being charged for them on my receipt. Unfortunately, the long wait wasn't just an issue with my order. Everyone in my family waited at least 30 minutes for their food, and my grandma was the last person served. When her wings finally arrived, she found that they were cold on the inside and was understandably very unhappy with the experience. I understand that restaurants can get extremely busy, and I work in an emergency-service environment myself, so I completely understand being under pressure.
